Cancelled Marvel's Spider-Man game concept art offers first look at the Green Goblin
Image
Back in 2018, Insomniac Games made history by releasing the first title in the Marvel's Spider-Man video game saga. Since then, players have seen the release of 3 Dlc chapters, a spin-off, a remaster, a PC port, and even a direct sequel courtesy of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. But the one thing that has remained consistent through these entries in the franchise is that all roads lead to him. While it's true that the Green Goblin hasn't had his proper introduction in this world yet, the narrative has been slowly building his character up. Now, it's just a matter of "when" we'll get to see him, rather than "if".

At the time being, Marvel's Spider-Man 3 has yet to be "officially" announced. That being said, we know it's coming as Peter Parker's voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal, has openly talked about it and what his character's role will be in it. So all eyes...

Shameik Moore Teases A Third Miles Morales Variant In Spider-man: Beyond The Spider-verse
Image
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was announced for a March 2024 release. Unfortunately, what was once only a one-year wait for the resolution to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's big cliffhanger will now be four years by the time we sit down to watch the threequel.

Concerns about a release date delay started when the movie's cast admitted they hadn't seen a script or recorded any lines while promoting the second movie. A delay seemed inevitable, and details about what to expect from Beyond the Spider-Verse have been few and far between since that came.

Shameik Moore plays Miles Morales in the animated franchise, and during a brief red carpet interview, he revealed that we'll see three versions of his Spider-Man in the movie.

The interviewer seemed to be under the impression that Moore voices Miles G. Morales, a.k.a. Earth-42's Prowler. In reality, Jharrel Jerome plays him, so...

The Persona 4 Remake Looks Stunning, but I Fear It’s Hollow Inside
Image
In the last couple of months, we heard rumors left and right suggesting that a Persona 4 remake was in the works. However, nothing popped up, and I felt like these reports would never end up materializing, just like the ones for Half-Life 3. However, all of that changed at the June 2025 Xbox Games Showcase

At the event, Atlus finally ended the rumors by revealing Persona 4 Revival. Even though it received a short trailer, I was hyped to see the familiar locales and visuals. However, I low-key feel like this remake lacks the soul that made the original title so beloved for me in the first place.

Persona 4 Revival might end up flopping hard

Let’s be honest: It was Persona 4 that brought the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off into the mainstream gaming world. Although Persona 3 did an incredible job and still has a niche fanbase to this day, the fourth entry in...

No release window has been announced yet, but the game is now available to wishlist and will launch on Xbox Series X|S as well as on Xbox PC and the Xbox Cloud service.

Persona 4 Revival Follows Persona 3 Reload's Lead The Trailer Shows Off Modern Graphics

Persona 4 Revival was accidentally revealed last month when several Persona 4 voice actors noted they wouldn't reprise their roles from the original game. Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Yosuke in the original P4, wrote in a Bluesky post that he "will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Offers 4v4 Tag Team Mayhem With Guilty Gear Flair
Image
Sony just casually dropped a nuclear bomb on the fighting game community, and the fallout is absolutely glorious. Nobody expected Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls to materialize out of thin air during State of Play, especially not with Arc System Works wielding the development reins.

The audacity of handing Marvel’s most iconic heroes to the studio behind Guilty Gear borders on genius-level insanity. After years of Capcom’s stranglehold on superhero fighters, this partnership feels like watching David pick up Goliath’s own slingshot.

Suddenly, Sony’s “Project Defiant” wireless fight stick doesn’t seem like random hardware experimentation anymore. It’s a proof of the sheer confidence they have placed in their new partners.

Arc System Works unleashes their anime magic on Marvel

The announcement trailer showcases exactly why giving ArcSys complete creative freedom was the smartest decision Sony could make. Iron Man transforms into what can only be described as mecha perfection,...

Another Persona 4 Voice Actor Confirms They Won't Be A Part Of The Rumored Remake
Image
Another original Persona 4 voice actor has confirmed that she will not be part of the rumored Persona 4 remake. Yesterday, Yuri Lowenthal, who played Yosuke in the original game, confirmed he was not part of the unannounced P4 remake project, despite reportedly "begging" to be a part of it. The post has since been removed, but now, with another original voice actor also confirming she isn't a part of the supposed remake, the evidence is continuing to grow for a potential P4 remake announcement soon.

According to a Bluesky post from Erin Fitzgerald, she will not be reprising her role as Chie in the alleged Persona 4 remake (via Vgc). Her post went on to say she is grateful to have played Chie in several games, writing: "I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her." A remake of P4 has not been confirmed by Atlus or other official sources yet.

Is Persona 4 Getting Remade? Yuri Lowenthal Hints Yes, but He’s Out
Image
Sometimes the biggest gaming announcements come from the most unexpected places. A deleted social media post just might have confirmed what Persona 4 fans have been desperately hoping for—and it came with a side of drama nobody saw coming.

Yuri Lowenthal, the voice behind Yosuke Hanamura and Peter Parker in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man games, apparently let something slip that he probably shouldn’t have. The post vanished faster than you can say “social link,” but the internet never forgets.

The implications are huge, especially considering just how tight-lipped and secretive both Atlus and Sega have been about any remake plans.

The accidental Persona 4 Remake confirmation nobody expected

Lowenthal‘s now-deleted BlueSky post dropped what might be the worst-kept secret in Jrpg development. While responding to persistent fan questions, he revealed more than anyone anticipated (via Vgc):

Persona 4 Remake May Have Just Been Confirmed In A Very Strange Way
Image
A remake ofPersona 4has been long-rumored, and it may have just been confirmed in an unusual way by a social media post from one of the original game's voice actors. Earlier this year, the website domains for the P4 remake were registered, and singer Shihoko Hirata, who was a vocalist for the original game, revealed she was recording for an unannounced game. While the game has not been officially confirmed, it looks like it may very well exist after this latest update.

According to a Bluesky post from Yuri Lowenthal, who played Yosuke in the original P4, he will not be returning for the alleged remake as Yosuke. Lowenthal's tweet says "[...] I will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake. I asked. Maybe I even begged, but they don't want me to come back" (via Vgc). While not a direct confirmation, it appears the P4 remake is getting closer to an official announcement.

Miles Morales actor reveals who he'd like to fight in Marvel's Spider-Man 3
Image
Back in 2023, video game players worldwide hopped back in Insomniac's rendition of New York to save the day as two different wall-crawlers. It was a fantastic superhero epic that left us wanting more. Fortunately, the post-credits scene teased that the story is far from over, as more heroes and villains are soon to enter the picture.

While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 hasn't been officially announced, it's a well-known fact that it is coming. Spider-Man 3 PS5 Star Teases Silk & Miles Morales' Roles In New Game (Exclusive)
Image
Marvel's Spider-Man star Nadji Jeter teased Miles Morales' role in the Spider-Man 3 game and how the newly introduced Silk character could fit into Insomniac Games' web-slinging video game universe.

While not yet formally announced, several reports indicated that Insomniac (also working on the Wolverine PlayStation 5 (PS5) game) is already developing a proper third entry into the Marvel's Spider-Man video game franchise.

The last time fans heard from the series was in 2023's Spider-Man 2. In that wall-crawling adventure, Jeter's Miles Morales teamed up with Yuri Lowenthal's Peter Parker, defeating the dastardly Venom while setting up a new era for both versions of the web-headed heroes.

‘Phineas and Ferb’ Actor Vincent Martella Wants To Voice One of Marvel’s Most Important Characters
Image
Phineas and Ferb voice actor Vincent Martella has revealed one of his dream characters that he would love to play in the future. Martella has been acting for more than 20 years now, getting his start in projects such as Cracking Up and Stacked before also playing Greg Wuliger in Everybody Hates Chris. Martella has been voicing Phineas on the hit TV series for nearly 20 years now after first entering the booth in 2007, starring alongside other show veterans such as Dan Povenmire and Ashley Tisdale. Collider’s Aidan Kelley recently caught up with Martella to discuss the upcoming Phineas and Ferb reboot, and he asked if there was any character he would love to play in the future. Martella certainly swung high, citing one of the most popular characters ever, but he certainly has the talent to pull it off:

The Real Reason Why Marvel's Wolverine And The X-Men Was Canceled On A Massive Cliffhanger
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

2008-2012 was a great yet frustrating era to be a fan of Marvel cartoons. That brief period of time saw the premiere of some of the very best television that's ever adapted Marvel Comics: "The Spectacular Spider-Man," "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes," and "Wolverine and the X-Men." I both blame and cherish these shows for making me a true Marvel Comics fan.

Yet, all these truly marvelous shows concluded prematurely for infuriating bureaucratic reasons. "Spectacular Spider-Man" ended when Sony ceded some Spider-Man television rights back to Marvel. Meanwhile, "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" was canned to make way for the far inferior (and Marvel Cinematic Universe-synergistic) "Avengers Assemble." Lastly, "Wolverine and the X-Men" never made it to season 2 because the show's financing fell apart.

Series writer-producer Joshua Fine confirmed as much in a 2011 interview. Even worse, season 2 was already in production; it had a season outline,...

The Marvel's Spider-Man announcement we all waited for is finally here
Image
Back in 2023, players around the world witnessed how Kraven's thrill for the hunt and Venom's desire to heal the world almost pushed New York City into darkness. But just when it seemed everything was lost and there was no turning back, Peter Parker and Miles Morales swung onto the scene to save the day. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was a memorable video game that not only elevated the franchise to a whole new level with even more polished combat and an improved traversal system, but it also left us wanting more. How could it not? It's enough to take a look at the title's post-credits scene to know something sinister is on the horizon, after all.

Unfortunately, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 concluded with Peter giving up on the superhero mantle and hanging his mask in favor of a simpler life with Mary Jane. That event left players with more questions...

Insomniac’s Spider-Man 3 May Be Repeating the Same Controversy That Made You Hate The Witcher 4

History has a funny way of repeating itself in the gaming industry. Just two months after CD Projekt Red’s controversial announcement about The Witcher 4, Insomniac Games finds itself walking a similarly thorny path with Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

Two studios, two heroes, two different breakup letters. | Image Credit: Insomniac Games

Both beloved franchises are shifting focus from their iconic protagonists, but while one studio’s approach has fans ready to storm the castle with pitchforks, the other might have found a way to keep the peace. It’s a tale of two transitions, and the devil’s in the details.

The question isn’t just about who gets to be the hero anymore—it’s about how you handle letting go of characters that players have spent hundreds of hours embodying.

Spider-man 3 Star Yuri Lowenthal Teases Peter Parker's Role In Insomniac's Threequel
Image
It's been well over a year now since Marvel's Spider-Man 2 swung onto the PlayStation 5 and, oddly enough, it's been nearly as long since developer Insomniac Games has provided any sort of update regarding a follow-up game or even some Dlc that would continue the story of Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

With the game recently debuting on PC, the series' leading man Yuri Lowenthal provided a small, but promising update for his character Peter Parker, who, after the events of his most recent adventure, decided to take a break from being Spider-Man, leaving the duties of being New York City's primary webslinger to Miles Morales. However, while his protégé is expected to take on more of a leading role in the next entry, Lowenthal teases that Peter Parker will still be part of the next main game and it sounds like he'll have a significant role to play.

Of course, there are many superhero anime with some of these even predating the current superhero craze.

From colorful shōnen works to grittier explorations of heroism, anime is host to several overlooked classics. This doesn't just mean major brands such as My Hero Academia, but also some of the first major examples of superhero fiction in Japan. Chief among these is a certain pretty guardian who best showcases the superhero aspects in her own anime/manga sub-genre.

Modern Anime Characters That Could Wreck Goku
Image
A major reason for anime's explosive growth over the past two decades is the presence of iconic franchises like Dragon Ball. The Dragon Ball manga and anime have inspired other creators, such as Masashi Kishimoto and Eiichiro Oda, who made Naruto and One Piece, respectively. Dragon Ball, which follows the adventures of the all-powerful Saiyan known as Son Goku, has been a mainstay in the anime medium since it debuted in the 1980s.

Goku's reputation as anime's strongest character is well-deserved — he's literally earned the status of a Super Saiyan God by the events of Dragon Ball Super, placing him on equal footing with various Gods of Destruction. Still, there are several other characters within the medium who, either through sheer power or savvy strategy, could defeat Goku in one-on-one combat.

Updated on February 12, 2025, by Ariadne Night: In the years since Goku first rose to hero status, there has...

“I’m tired of seeing his ult get 3+ kills every time”: Marvel Rivals Players Demand a Moon Knight Ult Nerf That Has Already Turned Scarlet Witch Into a Joke
Image
Even though it’s just been a month since the release, it’s clear that Marvel Rivals is a game that’s here to stay for years. Developer NetEase Games has recently dropped the highly anticipated Season 1 update into the hero-shooter, and gamers are absolutely loving every second of it.

Since Marvel Rivals is a live-service game, NetEase can make various balance changes to ensure that characters don’t wreak havoc in matches. For example, developers have nerfed Hawkeye and Hela as they were simply too strong. However, now gamers believe that NetEase needs to take a look at Moon Knight and nerf his ultimate.

10 Gundam Works That Need Spinoffs After The Witch from Mercury
Image
The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise has existed for nearly 50 years and in that time, it's had several entries and spinoffs. While most of the anime are set in the Universal Century timeline, others are in their own continuities. One such series is now getting a new tie-in project, but it's not the only one of these shows that should receive this type of continuation.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is now getting a spinoff manga in an alternate universe, capitalizing on the success of that show. While this makes sense, there are other works which are just as deserving of this treatment. This could take the form of sequels or alternate takes, all of which would expand upon previously seen Gundam anime.

All 19 Inches of Venom Are Back With a New ‘Spider-Man 2’ Hot Toys Figure

It’s been more than a year since the release of Spider-Man 2, the third installment of Playstation and Insomniac's video game series following Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, provided what many would say is the best adaptation of Venom outside of the comics (sorry Tom Hardy). Hot Toys is helping to commemorate the gooey symbiote, who uses Harry Osborn (Graham Phillips) instead of Eddie Brock as a host in an unconventional story turn, by releasing a new Venom figure based on his appearance in the hit PS5 video game, showing him achieving full symbiosis by using his body as an array of weapons. Hot Toys even feature figures for Peter Parker (Yuri Lowenthal) and Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) in the first images for Venom, showing him facing off against his two arch nemesis.

10 Best Anime With the Most Toxic Fanbases
Image
This article touches on only a few reasons why each fandom described is toxic, and it is not a critique of any anime mentioned.

A "fandom" is a term used for a sizable collective of people who've fallen in love with the same piece of media, and getting involved in one is an excellent way for fans to gather and share ideas as well as gush about their favorite characters. It's an experience that can give many a sense of camaraderie and belonging. A good deal of mainstream anime — like Naruto, One Piece, and Dragon Ball—can raise communities large enough to overflow a city. But, unfortunately, fandom toxicity becomes an inevitable occurrence because of the sheer number of people partaking in discussions centered on a subject of passion.

Fans can be passionate; it's as simple as that. And there is nothing wrong with loving a work of fiction so ardently.

Voicing Sung Jinwoo Ruined Aleks Le’s Demon Slayer Role
Image
Voice acting is a tough job to nail in the anime industry, already soured by the less-than-generous pay the actors get. Only a selected few English voice actors have truly made a name for themselves in this industry and Aleks Le is one of them. Bagging roles such as Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling and Zenitsu Agatsuma from Demon Slayer have gained him fame and popularity. His chaotic humor has also given some traction in the anime community.

The voice actor gets honest about how challenging yet rewarding it is to have such diverse roles in his hands. Aleks Le isn’t one to stick to a single archetype in voice acting but diversity comes with its own obstacles. Voicing Jinwoo and Zenitsu are as different as they get.

10 Anime Villains Just As Compelling As The Main Character (If Not Better)
Image
Every anime fan loves a great protagonist. However, there are instances where the antagonist is as compelling if not more compelling than the heroes. Multiple series hinge upon the actions of their villains and the sprawling narratives that come with the dynamics of right and wrong.

The interest level for a villain may differ, dependent on the villain's morals, ethics or, most times, their backstory. When the viewer is able to sympathize with the villain or the reasons behind their actions, they can become a great villain in the eyes of many. Fans love a good hero, but some of these villains give just a bit more of a reason to keep the viewer engaged.

The imagery and storylines of nearly every installment have become some of the most iconic parts of anime, as have its signature Gunpla model kits, and if a story of any medium decides to reference a mecha anime, odds are it will reference Gundam over anything else.

'Watchmen: Chapter 2' Ending, Explained: Is This a New Beginning?
Image
The original Watchmen graphic novel was first published monthly through 1986 and 1987, before being compiled into a single volume in 1987. The comic was written by famed author Alan Moore, illustrated by artist Dave Gibbons and published by DC Comics. In the years since, Watchmen has had three major adaptations – a theatrical live action film directed by Zack Snyder in 2009, an HBO miniseries set in the universe of the comic in 2019, and most recently, an animated two-part film released this year.

This newest adaptation was directed by Brandon Vietti and produced by Warner Brothers. It’s not the first adaptation and is almost certainly not going to be the last, but it is the first that feels like the graphic novel given motion and is the most accurate adaptation of the original work to date.

1 Spider-Man Actor Just Returned To DC For The Second Time In 2024
Image
A longtime Spider-Man actor has joined the list of people who have acted in both Marvel and DC, having two DC credits to his name in 2024 alone. Voice actor Yuri Lowenthal has lent his talent to cartoons, anime, and video games, but perhaps one of his most well-known roles is as the voice of Spider-Man in the various associated video games. He notably voices the hero in Marvel’s Spider-Man series by Insomniac Games, which are some of Marvel’s most successful video games in recent years.

The character of Spider-Man isn’t Lowenthal’s only foray into the superhero universe as he has also done some work for other Marvel projects, as well as work for Marvel’s rival studio DC. The Most Underrated Isekai Anime Movies Ever
Image
Isekai's rise to dominance has been the most noticeable anime trend of the last decade. Not an anime season goes past without a new isekai series launching, be it a new original show or a sequel to an existing one. The same is true for isekai anime movies, as they have become increasingly common since the early 2000s, with several new isekai movies arriving at the box office every year.

The downside of this isekai ubiquity is that many good movies get overshadowed by projects with bigger marketing budgets, leading to them getting lost in the shuffle. However, this does mean that anime fans looking for a new isekai experience have a lot of great films to choose from if they don't mind digging a little deeper into the genre's overlooked corners. From passionately delivered classic isekai narratives to creative twists on the usual format, there is an isekai anime movie for every taste.
