The annual Outside Lands music festival is right around the corner. Tyler, the Creator, Hozier, and Doja Cat are among this year’s headliners, along with a stacked lineup that includes John Summit, Vampire Weekend, Gracie Abrams, Doechii, Jamie xx, and more taking the stage at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California. The festival will stream live on Prime Video, but fans still have some time left to snag passes online.

Alan Ritchson is hard at work filming Reacher Season 4 right now, but ahead of its arrival, the star’s biggest box office hit is tearing up streaming charts. Ritchson stars alongside Jason Statham and Vin Diesel in Fast X, the 2023 Fast & Furious movie following Dom Toretto and his family, who are the targets of a brutal vengeance campaign by drug kingpin Hernan Reyes (Jason Momoa). Fast X is streaming on Starz in the United States and on Netflix globally, but it’s quietly crept into the Starz top 10 in America, sitting at #8. The film earned scores of 56% from critics and 84% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes, and it grossed $704 million against a $340 million budget, which makes it one of the most expensive movies ever made.
Fast X recruited plenty of stars to bring the 10th Fast & Furious movie to life beyond Ritchson, Statham, and Momoa, though.

August 16 will be a very good day for the Fast & Furious franchise. The sprawling action movie franchise had humble beginnings, kicking off with the 2001 action-crime racing movie The Fast and the Furious. Since then, the movies have featured increasingly high-octane stunts, including cars parachuting from a cargo plane.
The franchise, which will be continuing with the upcoming Fast 11, boasts an ever-expanding star-studded ensemble cast, featuring well-known actors including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Gal Gadot, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena, Jason Momoa, Sung Kang, Jordana Brewster, and Kurt Russell.
Netflix has now announced via an Instagram post that seven of the Fast & Furious movies will be coming to the streaming platform on August 16. This includes the first three movies as well as Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and the spinoff movie Hobbs & Shaw.

Vin Diesel says ‘reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner’ was a condition for agreeing to a Furious finale, which will no doubt require a CGI resurrection
If you’re a fan of the Fast and Furious franchise – and you’re only human, so of course you are – then you’ll know that Fast X ended on one of the most operatically daft cliffhangers of all time. In short, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson are apparently dead, having been shot out of the sky by a double agent. Vin Diesel seems certain to die, having ended the film at the bottom of a dam that Jason Momoa just exploded. And Gal Gadot is back. And the Rock is back.
All these threads need to be resolved urgently. And yet, Fast X was a box-office disappointment. The fourth most expensive film ever made, Fast X was the fifth highest-grossing film of 2023 and still managed to lose $20m.

Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun’s story was a classic music industry fairytale: An ambitious young manager plucks a young prodigy out of obscurity and makes him a star. Their lives and careers have been intertwined for nearly two decades, with their names and careers synonymous with one another well beyond most artist-manager relationships. Thee wasn’t a project Bieber pursued, music or otherwise, that Braun wasn’t involved in, while each of Braun’s clients outside of Bieber would get a direct boost from one of the 21st century’s biggest stars.

Netflix is giving songwriters the spotlight in “Hitmakers,” an eight-episode reality series set to debut globally on 24 July. The streamer describes the show as “an all-access ride where creativity and ego collide” as a dozen up-and-coming writers race to craft singles for marquee artists while living together in Los Angeles. Cameras will follow pitch sessions, demo recordings and late-night rewrites, promising viewers “the drama behind every hook,” according to a log-line shared by TV Insider and Netflix’s own listings.
“Hitmakers” extends a summer slate that already features the posthumous Liam Payne vehicle “Building the Band,” bowing 9 July with Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger and Aj McLean judging unseen auditions before singers meet to form groups. Both projects emerged from Netflix’s 2024 reality-development drive, billed internally as the “Reality Universe” expansion, which pledged to double unscripted output in music, lifestyle and competition formats.

The reboot of the reality competition is set to premiere on Fox later this year as part of the 2025-2026 season.

Good news for the struggling “rat rectum soup” industry: Fear Factor is coming back.
NBC’s notorious reality competition show is being rebooted as a new series dubbed Fear Factor: The Next Chapter. Unlike previous iterations of the franchise, this one will reportedly involve contestants being “dropped into an unforgiving, remote location” where they will have to “live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting.”
So, in other words, the show is getting the full Squid Game treatment.
The original series was, of course, hosted by Joe Rogan, while the short-lived MTV revival starred Ludacris. But for the newest take on the format, the producers have opted to hire a totally new host, one who isn’t busy making hundreds of millions of dollars interviewing celebrity quacks. Fear Factorhas found a new home on Fox, and with it comes a new host who knows a little something about putting themselves in dangerous situations. Fear Factor originally aired on NBC for seven seasons and was hosted by Joe Rogan before being revived in the 2010s with Ludacris taking over hosting duties on MTV. Now the reality show that sees contestants compete in horrifying stunts will air on Fox with none other than Jackass' Johnny Knoxville acting as the series host.
Variety reports that Johnny Knoxville will serve as the host of Fox's Fear Factor reboot, titled Fear Factor: The Next Chapter. The series will debut on Fox during the 2025-2026 television season. The series will feature a format similar to the original series of contestants doing stunts like eating bugs or jumping from massive heights, but a new added element will be the contestants living together in a remote location.

When Fear Factor returns next season, there will be a brand-new host, who was just announced. Fear Factor was a breakout hit when it aired in the early 2000s. The original era was hosted by Joe Rogan, who was best known as a comedian but is now a hugely popular and controversial podcast host. After its initial run on NBC, Fear Factor moved to MTV with Ludacris as the host. That iteration did not last nearly as long; MTV canceled it after two seasons. Now Fox is getting in on the revival excitement with Fear Factor: The Next Chapter season 1.

The host of Fox’s updated version of Fear Factor is a real Jackass.
Johnny Knoxville, whose MTV show Jackass was, like Fear Factor, a boundary-pushing staple of 2000s reality TV, will host the rebooted series (fully titled Fear Factor: The Next Chapter) when it premieres during the 2025-26 season. He’ll step into the shoes of Joe Rogan, who hosted the first iteration of the show on NBC from 2001-06 and again in 2011-12, and Ludacris, who emceed MTV’s version of Fear Factor from 2017-18.

On a night filled with laughter, heartfelt tributes, and electrifying performances, the 2025 BET Awards proved that honoring Black excellence transcends the trophies themselves.
Dubbed "Culture’s Biggest Night," the event offered a dazzling celebration of creativity and achievement. Rather than focusing on the presentation of awards, the nearly five-hour telecast prioritized entertainment, featuring a packed lineup of powerhouse performances, comedy, and emotional tributes. Highlighting the evening were special honors for the BET Ultimate Icon Award recipients: Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin, and Snoop Dogg. Their remarkable contributions to music, film, and culture took center stage in a show dedicated to legacy and artistry.
Host Kevin Hart kicked off the ceremony with a 10-minute monologue, poking fun at podcasts, stage names, and Kanye West. "He says he's out front and he's waiting for someone to invite him in," the comedian joked before warning the audience, "Don't do it! We all saw the movie Sinners.

When it comes to the "Fast & Furious" franchise, real fans know it isn't about the cars, the money, the action, or the story -- it's about family. But, y'know, also all those other things too. In fact, "Fast & Furious" is so concerned with its overarching narrative that it haphazardly constructed a twisted timeline that's hard for newcomers to process. Starting in 2001, the films were released in this order:
"The Fast and the Furious"
"2 Fast 2 Furious"
"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift"
"Fast & Furious"
"Fast Five"
"Fast and Furious 6"
"Furious 7"
"The Fate of the Furious"
"Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw"

Fear Factor is making a grand comeback on television, almost a quarter century after its premiere on NBC in 2001. As the original show grew in popularity, the show’s original host, Joe Rogan, became synonymous with the television’s most daring show.
Over the weekend, it was announced that Fox will be reviving the show after its last incarnation went off air in 2018. The re-packaged show will be called Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, and will premiere on the network in its 2025-26 calendar year.
While Fox has yet to announce the host for the upcoming season, the show’s first host, Rogan’s presence still hovers large over the franchise. In fact, viewers still remember the times when the TV host-turned-podcaster oversaw the participants undertaking incredible tasks for the reality show. Though the 57-year-old Newark-native usually remained unperturbed, there was one task that even frightened the otherwise stolid host.

Fox is reinventing the legendary reality competition series Fear Factor and the network promises the latest version will be "bigger, bolder and more daring."
It is currently upfronts season for the world of television and broadcast, meaning the networks are providing updates on their planned 2025-2026, including plenty of renewal and cancellation news. Today Fox shared they are creating "The Next Chapter" of the iconic series and this time it will put a group of competing strangers together under one roof as they compete in various challenges.

If you’ve ever wanted to eat spiders on national television for money, you might be in luck. Fox has announced that the hit TV series “Fear Factor” is returning for a new generation.
Originally hosted by Joe Rogan, “Fear Factor” aired on NBC between 2001 and 2006, and the basic idea was that contestants were tasked with overcoming their fears by doing all sorts of gross and horrifying things. In one episode, they had to literally eat horse rectum. In another, they had to bob for rings at the bottom of a tank filled with cow’s blood. Yeah. No thank you.
The original “Fear Factor” ran for six seasons, with Ludacris hosting a short-lived revival of the series back in 2017. That version of the series ended up running for just two seasons.
So what’s the new twist for this latest revival? Variety reports that “Fear Factor: The Next Chapter” will be “bigger,...

Fox is promising a “bigger, bolder and more daring” version of the old dare show Fear Factor for its midseason lineup, but it’s unclear for now whether former host Joe Rogan will be a part of the reinvented series.
While talking to reporters Sunday in anticipation of Fox’s upfront presentation Monday, Entertainment President Michael Thorn said it was too early to say whether Rogan will return to feed Madagascar hissing roaches to participants in Fear Factor: The Next Chapter (working title).
“We just ordered the series and we are in the process of hiring showrunners and everything right now,” said Thorn. “Obviously he’s major talent tied to the show, but it’s too early for us to say how we’re going to move forward right now. But we’re thrilled to have the property and think we’re going to be able to really compliment our unscripted lineup with it.

Get ready to watch people screaming with a face full of bugs again because Fox is bringing back Fear Factor… with a twist. The network announced that the notorious reality competition series will return for Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, described as a “bigger, bolder and more daring” version of the previous show, which ran from 2001 to 2006 (and was briefly revived at MTV for two seasons hosted by Ludacris). The logline for the new iteration is: “Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof, and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges, and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon. This is Fear Factor: The Next Chapter.” About the revival of Fear Factor, Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn explained, “Fox is an undeniable leader in this genre and as always it’s a huge priority, so...

Weakest Link and Fear Factor have new homes.
Both shows, which previously aired on NBC, have been picked up to series by Fox. It comes ahead of the network’s upfronts presentation in New York.
They are joined by 99 To Beat, a U.S. remake of a Belgian format.
Weakest Link and 99 To Beat will air in the fall; the latter will air on Mondays at 9pm after Name That Tune, while gameshow 99 To Beat will air Wednesdays at 9pm after The Floor. Fear Factor has not been dated.
Weakest Link recently aired for three seasons on NBC starting in September 2020. It was hosted by Jane Lynch, who will host the show on Fox. The Fox version will be a celebrity edition with eight celebrities competing to win up to $1M for charity by answering questions and trying not to become the weakest link.
It is produced by BBC Studios LA Productions.

After years of campaigning from industry folks and critics alike, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this month that they will be adding a Stunt Design category for its 100th Oscar ceremony in 2028. Something tells me we might get new Mission Impossible, John Wick or Fast and Furious installments in 2027.
Those stunt-driven franchises have been some of the most reliable box office highlights this past decade that aren’t draped in spandex. Seeing death being defied is still one of the most reliable ways to get people to go to the theater. It’s been that way since Buster Keaton. It transcends culture and language, which is why Jackie Chan can become one of the planet’s biggest stars and why The Raid, a film made for $1 million in Indonesia, could become a world-wide success.

If there’s one thing the Fast and Furious franchise has mastered, it’s reinvention. What started in 2001 as a movie about street racing and DVD player heists somehow morphed into a billion-dollar saga where cars fly, submarines chase Lamborghinis, and Vin Diesel defeats helicopters with a pair of Dodge Chargers. Over 10 movies (and counting), we’ve seen everything from rooftop chases in Rio to family barbecues that feel just as intense as the action scenes.
And through it all, Dom Toretto has reminded us, repeatedly, in case we forgot, that nothing is more important than family.
Of course, not every Fast & Furious movie is a nitrous-fueled masterpiece. Some entries turned the franchise into cinematic gold, while others, well, let’s just say they were running on fumes. The early movies were all about the underground racing scene, but as the franchise grew, so did its ambitions. By Fast Five,...

When it comes to professional-level trolling, no one does it quite like Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Have you noticed that whenever a new movie pops up on Netflix with no advance notice, it tends to be - um, how do I say this - less than successful? The latest addition to their slate is another example of this practice.
We try to be diligent when we write about the coming attractions on your favorite streaming service. Inevitably, Netflix will throw a pretty big title into the lineup with little to no fanfare. Even Netflix's own announcement page leaves a lot of films out in the cold until they suddenly appear.
It's as if they haven't worked out the rights to the movies and shows months in advance but find them left on their corporate doorstep like sad little orphans. Like Venom: the Last Dance popping up out of nowhere.
A case in point is a thriller that debuted in theaters to pretty good numbers, $22 million in its first week.

Despite being one of the most profitable franchises in Hollywood, Fast & Furious continues to be a regular subject of tabloid headlines for its ridiculous scandals and controversies. One of the biggest headline-grabbers has been the feud between co-stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, which muddied the waters and made for an entertaining public spectacle until the latter’s return in 2023.

Oscar nominated movies go through meticulous discussions and careful considerations before becoming a candidate to win the actual award. But sometimes public opinion does not necessarily align with the experts. The audience does not shy away from expressing their opinions—especially when they do not like a movie.
But that doesn’t mean these films aren’t worth watching, they’re entertaining. However, if we start handing out nominations to every entertaining movie, the Academy Awards would lose their value, wouldn’t they? In some cases, these films even overshadowed more deserving contenders, fueling criticism about the very selection process of movie nomination.
In this list, we will look at some of the most controversial and surprising movies nominated for an Academy Award. Without further ado, let’s find out if the movies selected were justified or not.

The Fast & Furiousfranchise is an epic, action-filled journey of more than ten films chronicling the adventures of former street racer Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his found family. The series has taken many different forms over the years, from a simple street racing saga to a high-stakes spy thriller. But, for movie fans who haven't hopped aboard the Fast & Furious train yet, the expansive franchise could be a bit intimidating.
For prospective fans of the Fast Saga, jumping in on the films isn't as simple as watching them in release order. Despite the franchise's relatively linear timeline, certain films are out of order. Anyone who wants to catch up on Dom Toretto's and his family's exploits will want to watch the Fast and Furious films in this order.

What began as an illegal street racing-based action flick has blown up into an international spy adventure that has even gone to space, and those are still not its most bizarre parts. Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar has been making the headlines throughout this past year. However, it’s definitely not his first time beefing with another rapper. From Pusha T, Ludacris, and Chris Brown, to Megan Thee Stallion and more, he has squared up to many fellow rappers over the years.

Although he has since made up with many of them, he has also taken liberties to create new ones in the meantime. One among his many feuds, though, sort of followed a similar pattern to the one he had with Kendrick Lamar.

One needn’t know the difference between a touchdown and a turnover to enjoy the Super Bowl. For many viewers (and we suspect many a TVLine reader), it’s all about the commercials.
Each year, advertisers pony up big bucks to wave their wares in front of more than 100 million viewers (even though most ads are now released online, ahead of the Big Game). So, who drafted famous faces to shill? And who among them delivered the biggest laughs?

The Super Bowl is nearly upon us, and in addition to the battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, the game will also feature movie trailers and star-studded commercials. Some Super Bowl commercials have already been revealed, including a Häagen-Dazs spot in which Vin Diesel reunites with Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris.
I suppose that will have to tide us over until the next Fast & Furious movie. Diesel posted a video on Instagram of the making of the commercial, and reflected on how far the franchise has come. “25 years ago on the streets of Los Angeles, we created something that became bigger than any of us could have imagined. Not just a movie—but a family that stretches across the globe,” he wrote. “Being on Pch, filming this Super Bowl spot, brought it all rushing back. The same stretch of coast where Pablo and I raced 25 years ago,...
