Miss Scarlethas officially been renewed for a sixth season, with filming set to begin this month in Belgrade, Serbia. Masterpiece on PBS confirmed the news today, ensuring we all got the news we wanted as Kate Phillips (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light) will return as Eliza Scarlet for another thrilling installment. And of course, Miss Scarlet can't do it all by herself, so joining Phillips for the upcoming season are returning cast members Tom Durant-Pritchard as Di Alexander Blake, Cathy Belton as Ivy, Paul Bazely as Clarence, Simon Ludders as Mr. Potts and Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps.

Miss Scarlet will return for a sixth season with Kate Phillips (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light) once again reprising her role as the title character.

The series will begin filming this month in Belgrade, Serbia. Other members of the returning cast include Tom Durant-Pritchard as Di Alexander Blake, Cathy Belton as Ivy, Paul Bazely as Clarence, Simon Ludders as Mr. Potts, Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps, and Ansu Kabia as Moses.

Joining the cast for the new season are Sam Buchanan as Detective George Willows, who joins Scotland Yard after rising through the police ranks. Grace Hogg-Robinson will play Isabel Summers, an ambitious young woman who joins the Clerical Office alongside Ivy.

Simon Ludders (“Bridgerton”) plays ambitious aristocrat Lord Fairfax, whose dream is to turn the hotel in a winter holiday destination.

“The Checkup with Dr. David Agus,” a six-episode docuseries featuring notable names in entertainment as they sit down with the doctor for intimate conversations about their personal health struggles, will premiere on Paramount+, with the first three episodes will debuting on the platform Tuesday, Dec. 6. The final three episodes will follow on Monday, Dec. 12.

Guests for the docuseries include Ashton Kutcher, Oprah Winfrey, Maria Shriver, Howie Mandel, Amy Schumer, Nick Cannon, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Each guest goes into personal detail about life-threatening diseases, women’s health issues such as reproductive health, the loss of a child and more.

Production is underway in Serbia for a fourth season of Miss Scarlet and The Duke, the Masterpiece mystery starring Kate Phillips as the first-ever female detective in Victorian London. TV Review: Becoming Human; for whom the school bell tolls
After the success of webseries Becoming Human (which attracted 1.5 million hits online), BBC3 were encouraged to stitch the eight episodes together into one 50-minute special that aired last night — premiering the story’s conclusion in the process. But I’m sure this was the Beeb’s intention from the start, considering the production standards of the webisodes, and its clear intention to become a full-blooded TV spin-off to Being Human.

Becoming Human has largely the same premise as its parent series, only with adolescent characters and a few gender swaps. If Being Human’s high-concept logline was “a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost share a house together”, Becoming Human wonders what would happen if a vampire, a werewolf and ghost went to school together.
