The world’s most determined private detective is back for another round of mystery-solving. Miss Scarlethas officially been renewed for a sixth season, with filming set to begin this month in Belgrade, Serbia. Masterpiece on PBS confirmed the news today, ensuring we all got the news we wanted as Kate Phillips (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light) will return as Eliza Scarlet for another thrilling installment. And of course, Miss Scarlet can't do it all by herself, so joining Phillips for the upcoming season are returning cast members Tom Durant-Pritchard as Di Alexander Blake, Cathy Belton as Ivy, Paul Bazely as Clarence, Simon Ludders as Mr. Potts and Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps.

Miss Scarlet will be cracking more mysteries soon enough: The PBS period crime drama has been renewed for a six-episode Season 6, TVLine has learned.

Kate Phillips will reprise her role as the title character in the new installment, which is set to begin filming this month in Belgrade, Serbia.

The new season’s official description reads: “As Eliza and Blake’s once-fraught relationship begins to evolve, they find that working together may be a tricky prospect.

Miss Scarlet will return for a sixth season with Kate Phillips (Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light) once again reprising her role as the title character.

The series will begin filming this month in Belgrade, Serbia. Other members of the returning cast include Tom Durant-Pritchard as Di Alexander Blake, Cathy Belton as Ivy, Paul Bazely as Clarence, Simon Ludders as Mr. Potts, Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps, and Ansu Kabia as Moses.

Joining the cast for the new season are Sam Buchanan as Detective George Willows, who joins Scotland Yard after rising through the police ranks. Grace Hogg-Robinson will play Isabel Summers, an ambitious young woman who joins the Clerical Office alongside Ivy.

Tom Durant Pritchard (The Crown) has joined the cast of PBS' Miss Scarlet series for season five. The series was previously titled Miss Scarlet and The Duke, but the name was shortened following the departure of Stuart Martin, aka William "The Duke" Wellington, after four seasons. The fifth season of the period drama is currently in production.

Starring Kate Phillips, Evan McCabe, Cathy Belton, Felix Scott, Paul Bazely, Simon Ludders, and Tim Chipping, Miss Scarlet series follows Eliza Scarlet (Phillips) as she takes over her dad’s detective agency following his death.

Cyril Metzger and Manon Clavel are set to star in Netflix’s upcoming hotel period drama “Winter Palace.”

Metzger (“Happening”) will play André Morel while Clavel (“The Truth”) is set to star as Rose. Together they portray an ambitious married couple who are running the hotel at the centre of the show.

Simon Ludders (“Bridgerton”) plays ambitious aristocrat Lord Fairfax, whose dream is to turn the hotel in a winter holiday destination.

Also joining the cast are Astrid Roos as Lady Isobel, Henry Pettigrew as Sir Conan Doyle, “Vikings” hero Clive Standen as Lance Raney, Vincent Heneine as Chef Voclain and Axel Granberger as Marcus.

Swiss stars Alix Henzelin, Antoine Basler, Gaspard Boesch, Roland Vouilloz, Serge Musy and Karim Barras round out the cast.

“The Checkup with Dr. David Agus,” a six-episode docuseries featuring notable names in entertainment as they sit down with the doctor for intimate conversations about their personal health struggles, will premiere on Paramount+, with the first three episodes will debuting on the platform Tuesday, Dec. 6. The final three episodes will follow on Monday, Dec. 12.

Guests for the docuseries include Ashton Kutcher, Oprah Winfrey, Maria Shriver, Howie Mandel, Amy Schumer, Nick Cannon, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Each guest goes into personal detail about life-threatening diseases, women’s health issues such as reproductive health, the loss of a child and more.

The series is produced by Skydance Television and See It Now Studios. Agus serves as executive producer alongside Amy Coleman and David Ellison and Dana Goldberg for Skydance Television. Production is underway in Serbia for a fourth season of Miss Scarlet and The Duke, the Masterpiece mystery starring Kate Phillips as the first-ever female detective in Victorian London. The PBS series also features Stuart Martin as her childhood friend, professional colleague and potential love interest Inspector William “The Duke” Wellington.

The Masterpiece broadcast of season three of Miss Scarlet and the Duke starts on January 8, 2023 and is currently streaming on PBS Passport and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel. Masterpiece is presented on PBS by GBH Boston.

After the success of webseries Becoming Human (which attracted 1.5 million hits online), BBC3 were encouraged to stitch the eight episodes together into one 50-minute special that aired last night — premiering the story’s conclusion in the process. But I’m sure this was the Beeb’s intention from the start, considering the production standards of the webisodes, and its clear intention to become a full-blooded TV spin-off to Being Human.
