Who Is Vanessa in Netflix’s ‘Kill ‘Em All 2’?
Image
On Christmas day, Netflix gifted action movie lovers the latest revenge tale, Kill 'em All 2, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Despite turning 65 this year, The Muscles from Brussels still has the balletic grace and acrobatic maneuvering fans have come to know and love since the 1980s. The story continues seven years after the 2017 action thriller Kill 'em All left off, pitting Jcvd's Philip against a ruthless Franco-Russian terrorist hell-bent on revenge.

Kill 'em All 2 introduces new characters not in the original, including a mysterious figure named Vanessa (Jaqueline Fernandez). While drips and drabs of background info come to light in the film, it's easy to miss how she relates to the main plot. As such, it's time to highlight Vanessa in Kill 'em All 2 and discuss who she is, her role, and how her relationship with Philip (Jcvd) informs the story.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is Back in 'Kill 'Em All 2' Action Sequel Trailer
Image
"We'll be ready to finish this." Sony Pictures Home Ent. has revealed an official trailer for an action sequel called Kill 'Em All 2 with Jcvd. Did anyone want this? Has anyone been waiting for this? The original Kill 'Em All first opened in 2017 directed by Peter Malota, though I can't remember anything about it. Who saw it? This sequel is being dumped direct-to-video next week. Philip and Suzanne, now agents partnered by the CIA, head to Europe on a new assignment. Jean-Claude Van Damme return as Philip, though Autumn Reeser as Suzanne from the first movie has been replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez as a character named Vanessa instead. The cast also includes Peter Stormare, Maria Conchita Alonso, Andrei Lenart, and Talia Asseraf. On the run, outnumbered, and fighting for their lives, this father and daughter unite to save themselves and the village that Phillip once called home. This looks absolutely terrible,...

Kill ‘Em All 2 trailer: Jean-Claude Van Damme action film gets a digital release next week
Image
Back in 2017, legendary action star Jean-Claude Van Damme had the lead role in a film titled Kill ‘Em All, which saw him taking on the role of a mysterious stranger who arrives at a hospital on the brink of death – and yet still has to fight for his life when a gang raids the hospital with the intention of finishing him off. Seven years later, Kill ‘Em All is getting a sequel, appropriately titled Kill ‘Em All 2, which is set to receive a digital release next Tuesday, September 24th. In anticipation of that release, a trailer for Kill ‘Em All 2 has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

The feature directorial debut of fight coordinator Peter Malota, who had previously worked with Van Damme on Double Impact, Universal Soldier, Nowhere to Run, The Quest, and The Order, Kill ‘Em All was scripted by Craig Stewart, Brian Smolensky,...

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Shô Kosugi in Black Eagle (1988)
Jean-claude Van Damme's Double Impact Gets a Special Edition Blu-ray with Tons of Extras
Jean-Claude Van Damme and Shô Kosugi in Black Eagle (1988)
Following last year's Mvd Rewind Collection branded Collector's Editions of classic Van Damme films Black Eagle and Lionheart, Mvd continues its love for the legendary action star with a fully loaded blu-ray of Double Impact, a favorite among fans of the kickboxing action hero.

90s action movies were the best. And what could be better than Jean-Claude Van Damme in an explosively entertaining action extravaganza? Two of him! There's twice the excitement, twice the mayhem and twice the fun in this turbo-charged adventure that pushes the thrills into overdrive from co-writer and director Sheldon Lettich and Co-Producer Michael Douglas along with co-stars Geoffrey Lewis (The Devil's Rejects), Bolo Yeung (Bloodsport), Alonna Shaw (King Of New York) and Cory Everson (Natural Born Killers).

Van Damme leaps into the dual roles of Chad and Alex Wagner, twin brothers who were separated after their parents' brutal murder. Years later, the two couldn't be...

After a massive shootout, a mysterious stranger (Van Damme) arrives at a local hospital on the brink of death. Then, a foreign gang brazenly comes to the hospital to hunt him down. His nurse, the sole surviving witness to the follow-up shootout, must face an FBI interrogation that unlocks a plot of international intrigue and revenge.

For those of us that grew up in the VHS age, guys like Jean-Claude van Damme were gods amongst men. Action heroes that semingly churned out hit after hit after hit, with fans – like me – calmouring for news of their latest release and… if you were also like me, pre-ordering each and every film for that first night of release rental,...

No Retreat, No Surrender and Kill ‘Em All! – Why You Should Give a Damme About Jean-Claude
Author: Matt Rodgers

Jcvd returns this week in Peter Malota‘s Kill ‘Em All, a fiery shoot ’em up which sees the man himself return to form as a one-man killing machine caught up in the crossfire between an international criminal gang and an increasingly desperate FBI investigation. It is a ridiculously fun throwback to the Van Damme days of glory with well suited henchmen being reworked internally by the the muscles from Brussels. A wonderfully-bearded Peter Stomare and another key 80s action star Maria Conchita Alonso (who partnered The Running Man and took the alien to task in Predator 2) join in the fun. Take a look at the trailer, and you’ll know exactly what we mean…

Now Matt Rodgers takes us all the way back, to remind us why Jean-Claude was such a big hit…

‘Furious (1984)’ DVD Review
Stars: Simon Rhee, Arlene Montano, Phillip Rhee, Howard Jackson, Loren Avedon, Jon Dane, Mika Elkan, Peter Malota, John Potter, Joyce Tilley | Written and Directed by Tim Everitt, Tom Sartori

‘Famously incomprehensible’ are among the first words which come up when one Googles 1984′s martial arts picture Furious. ‘Famously incomprehensible’ is about right too, from the awful picture quality to the bizarre story, which is best described as martial artists vs aliens (after a fashion) battling for control of the universe. I had to Google that bit too, so incomprehensible is the story that I couldn’t quite tell what was going on most of the time.

Lovers of purposefully bad movies like The Room and Plan 9 From Outer Space should find much to celebrate in Furious, in which a pensive young fighter named Simon (Simon Rhee) attempts to fend off the forces of evil by repeatedly kicking them in the face.
