Hades 2: Everything In The Original Hades' Ending That Set Up A Sequel

Reaching the true ending of Hades takes many hours and potentially hundreds of escape attempts, but the first game's finale reveals a few hidden teases towards Hades 2 plot points. The original godlike roguelike can technically be played forever, but reaching certain milestones does bring an end to the story of Zagreus and his attempts to escape the Underworld. Now Hades 2 will see Zag's sister Melinoé journey down into the land of the dead to face her grandfather Chronos, effectively flipping the first game's script.

Due to its nature as an endlessly replayable roguelike, managing to unlock the true ending of Hades can take a massive commitment of time and effort. Reaching the game's first ending is fairly straightforward, requiring that players escape the Underworld and defeat the game's final boss a total of 10 times.
