Andrew Mackintosh was born in Pennsylvania to English parents on August
9th 1960. He grew up in Scotland after the family moved back to the UK.
His first love was music, but joining a local drama group spurred him
into reading English and Drama at Bristol University in the South West
of England, before going on to study acting at the Webber Douglas Drama
Academy in London. He then worked as an actor and musical director with
the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool, in the northwest of England, which
is a time of which he has fond memories. On television, he has played a
music teacher in "Every Breath You Take" and an estate agent in
"Coronation Street" as well as the more substantial roles listed below.
He is often better known for his voice than his face, as he has
provided voiceovers for various advertisements and promotional films
throughout the United Kingdom.
