The following contains major spoilers for Season 4, Episode 6 of The Boys, now streaming on Prime Video.
It's safe to say The Boys is quite a hit. Four seasons in, and it's still telling poignant stories about politics, using the vehicle of superheroes to drive the satire. Interestingly, as much as it melds action, fantasy, and sci-fi, showrunner Eric Kripke cracked the big time due to a horror series years before.
Kripke directed CW's Supernatural, so it should come as no surprise that he's brought over a few Supernatural connections with him. He cast Jensen Ackles (Supernatural's Dean Winchester) to play Soldier Boy and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler one of Billy Butcher's former military allies. Coincidentally, The Boys features another connection to Supernatural in the form of Rob Benedict, who is only the latest actor to join the cast after previously starring in the hit CW show.

The best Eric Dane movies and TV shows have mostly come on the small screen, with some major roles in significant television shows. While Dane was a high school athlete, he moved into acting after working in a school production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and started taking on smaller roles in television shows. He finally got his first major role after appearing in The Wonder Years, Saved by the Bell, Roseanne, and Married... with Children.
This was in a medical drama called Gideon's Crossing. While that show didn't last over one season, it was a big reason he got cast as Dr. Sloan in Grey's Anatomy, which made him a star. That show brought him a lot of attention from critics and award ceremonies, and it helped him move on to other starring roles on television and a handful of movies along the way.

Underrated mutants like Thunderbird and Multiple Man are gaining attention thanks to fans advocating for more spotlight. Variety is key in building the X-Men, from powerful characters like Polaris to long-overlooked gems like Husk and Firestar. Gail Simone's call for underrated X-Men resonated with fans, showcasing a desire for more diverse and underused characters in future stories.
The X-Men have endured heinous attacks over the years that diminished their numbers, but there are plenty of powerful, compelling mutants in the Marvel Universe. Unfortunately, there isnt room for everyone to participate in the major teams or storylines, leaving some of the most interesting mutants waiting on the sidelines. Now, fans are giving shout-outs to some of the most underrated X-Men around.
Famed comics author Gail Simone recently called for fans to sound off about their favorite X-related character who deserves more love, and the X-Men crowd did not disappoint.

Originating as a Fantastic Four villain, Multiple Man's time in Marvel Comics canon is more complicated than just an X-Men hero. Multiple Man creates sentient life with each duplicate, impacting his own experiences upon reabsorption. With every dupe he creates, Multiple Man opens himself up to increasingly interesting adventures in X-Men canon.
Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man is a mutant in X-Men canon with the power to duplicate himself a great number of times, creating what’s known as ‘dupes’ who all experience life independently until their collective experiences automatically transfer to the prime Multiple Man once they reabsorb. For instance, if a dupe learns to speak another language or even gets a law degree, that transfers to the original upon re-merging. However, the same is also true for an injured dupe, as their injury impacts the original Multiple Man when they re-merge as well.

Jamie Madrox aka the Multiple Man has been an enduring fan-favorite X-Men character, or characters, for decades, and a new cosplay has demonstrated the inherent absurdity of his powers perfectly. With dupe in tow, this Madrox cosplay brings an amazingly surreal edge to the multiplying mutant that befits just how fun a character Jamie Madrox is.
Now, Daral (@daracelll) has created a brilliant cosplay of Jamie by ingeniously using a mannequin to imitate a dupe poking out from behind Jamie. Taking his cosplay to the floor at C2E2, Daral sports both Jamie’s classic Jack Kirby-inspired costume and headsock, along with his 2000s-era trench coat. Daral’s cosplay is perfect not because it’s realistic per-say, but because the effect is eye-catching and instantly hilarious.

This post contains spoilers for "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania."
We can argue all day long about whether "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" is a barrel of fun or a barrel of hot crap, but it's undeniable that it rolls out a barrel of Scott Langs. In the Quantum Realm, Paul Rudd's incredible shrinking protagonist dives inside a volatile thing called the Multiversal Power Core in order to retrieve it for Kang (Jonathan Majors). There, Scott meets a variant of himself before swiftly multiplying in the style of fellow Marvel Comics character Jamie Madrox, a.k.a. the Multiple Man. Soon, Scott is surrounded by Ant-Man variants: every possible iteration of himself across the multiverse.
When the final trailer for "Quantumania" hit in January, we dissected it like an insect, of course, and in doing so, turned up a glimpse of the same "writhing mass of alternate Ant-Men." Scott is almost buried under them,...

The digital collectible card game Marvel Snap - a collaboration between Second Dinner, Nuverse, and Marvel Comics - has quickly become a fan-favorite since its debut in October 2022, partly because of the impressively comic-accurate abilities from some classic Marvel characters cards adding another level of enjoyment for Marvel's most hardcore fans.
Marvel Snap debuted in October 2022 after a period of beta testing, with the addictive digital card game swiftly gaining popularity because of its simple mechanics, quick gameplay, gorgeous art, and creative use of beloved Marvel heroes, villains, and locations. Marvel Snap is also a brilliant way to introduce lesser known characters to casual Marvel fans, such as the hilarious Deadpool ally Hell Cow and classic monster Giganto.

This story contains spoilers for Marvel’s Avengers.
Marvel’s Avengers plot has proven to be one of the game’s biggest surprises so far. While the title’s beta suggested that it would be a Destiny-like live service experience that relies largely on vaguely connected content, it turns out that Marvel’s Avengers features a surprisingly compelling storyline that focuses on Kamala Khan as she navigates the aftermath of the A-Day event.
Yet, one strange, seemingly simple element of the game’s plot that has caught many people’s attention is the name “Jessica Yi.”
While there’s quite a lot to break down regarding Marvel’s Avengers compelling take on the Marvel Comics universe, we’re going to focus on Jessica Yi for a minute in order to explore who she is, why she is so compelling, how she potentially fits into the grander Marvel universe, and what...

The IP pipeline connecting the comic book sector to Hollywood continues to pump at a robust pace (and superhero movies now account for 10 of the top 25 highest-grossing films of all time) but the flow isn’t entirely a single-direction one.

I remember reading recently that DC Comics top brass were a little miffed that their more recent stuff is still being outsold by their older stuff. Like classic coke beating new coke, the people at the top always seem to be the last to grasp what makes their ‘product’ both accessible and in demand. The reason the old stuff sells better, for both DC and Marvel, is that back in the day the publishers knew their audience, knew the level at which they were pitching their books. As that audience aged, so did the books tone and content, though still with a healthy taste for nostalgia in there too. Which, don’t worry I am going somewhere with this, will bring me into the reason books like this one need to exist. Having read books since the late 70′s, my...

Disney now officially owns the vast majority of media assets previously held by 21st Century Fox. This means, the X-Men and Fantastic Four character rights are Disney's and, ultimately, they will be back in the hands of those at Marvel, which is also owned by Disney. The future of the franchises and these characters are, more or less, in the hands of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige now. With that, many of the projects that were in the works at Fox prior to the merger are dead in the water.

A couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that James Franco was returning to the superhero genre – after playing Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy – to star in a new Fox project based around Jamie Madrox Aka Multiple Man. The film was said to be another spinoff of the X-Men franchise, following Deadpool, Logan and the upcoming New Mutants.
While talking with The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, Franco was on hand to elaborate on the thinking behind the pic. Though he stopped short of confirming that he would be playing the titular character, his talk of working with producer Simon Kinberg and the X-Men movie team all but confirms it. He also revealed that the film would be another R-rated venture for the franchise.

We reported earlier this month that 20th Century Fox is teaming up with James Franco on Multiple Man, a new X-Men spin-off that James Franco is set to both star in and produce. While that report wasn't necessarily confirmed by the studio, James Franco was asked about this project, and while he wouldn't say that the project he's developing is Multiple Man, he did state that it's an X-Men project that he's working on with Simon Kinberg at 20th Century Fox. Here's what he had to say in a recent interview, while promoting his new film The Disaster Artist.

Last week, it was reported that James Franco would star in and be involved with the development of a new X-Men film called Multiple Man. Franco has now officially confirmed that he is involved with a superhero project. He recently told THR:
“I do have a superhero that I am developing. I don't know how much I can say. But I will say I am producing and performing in it. Or will perform in it. It's early stages. I think probably what I can say is, like anything, there's a need to develop more. I have a company with my brother now called Ramona Films. We're developing all kinds of movies. Our bottom line Mo is, how can we push this into new ground? A little bit, but still make it entertaining? So that separates it from what I was doing alone, me making a Cormac McCarthy film, pushing into the new frontier of necrophiliacs.

There's an ongoing joke about how James Franco has found a way to duplicate himself. That's how he's able to work on so many projects. His recent stint on the HBO series The Deuce allowed for the joke to seem to be truth. On the show, he acts opposite himself, playing twin brothers. Now it's even further being played with in the announceent (via Deadline) that Franco will star in an X-Men spin-off about the Marvel Comics character Multiple Man. Jamie Madrox is the mutant superhero's real name. He was born with the gift and hardship of duplication. Basically, he can create many clones of himself, which comes in handy when you need an army-sized team to defeat a villain. In the comics, Multiple Man became best known as a member of X-Factor in...

James Franco will star as Multiple Man in a new X-Men solo film!
James Franco is set to play Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man in a new standalone X-Men movie. The film is being written by Wonder Woman screenwriter Allan Heinberg and produced by Simon Kinberg, who is currently also directing X-Men: Dark Phoenix. No release date has been set for this film, but we assume it's still a ways away as its currently in the early stages of development.
The character choice is interesting as he's not exactly as popular of a name as, say, the usual mutants. In case you don't know, he's indeed named Multiple Man because he can instantly create duplicates of himself. While Jamie was originally a minor character, his story was better established in Peter David's X-Factor run from the 1990s, which incorporated many lesser known heroes from the larger X-Men mythos.

In the latest round of throwing whatever you can at a wall and seeing what’ll stick, Fox is continuing to expand its ever-broadening X-Men film franchise with an installment that’ll no doubt come as a shock to many. Believe it or not, the latest mutant they intend shining the spotlight on is none other than Multiple Man.
Seriously.
Having been previously played by “McSteamy” himself, Eric Dane, back in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, the self-replicating mutant known to comic book readers as Jamie Madrox will now instead be played by James Franco, who had previously familiarized himself with the superhero film genre via Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Now, this may cause confusion for some, but do remember that recasting various characters has been on the table ever since the timeline was rewritten thanks to 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

20th Century Fox is currently developing another Marvel film set in the X-Men universe called Multiple Man. According to Deadline, James Franco is set to play the lead role! The film is being written by Wonder Woman scribe and Allan Heinberg and it will be produced by Simon Kinberg who has been involved with all of the X-Men movies. For those of you not familiar with Multiple Man, here's a description:
Multiple Man is Jamie Madrox, who, in the comics, conveyed his cloning powers at birth, when a second, identical version of him appeared after the doctor slapped the infant to get him to breathe. His father, a worker at the Los Alamos Nuclear Research Center, moved his family to a remote farm where his son — fitted with a special suit to control his powers designed by X-Men patriarch Professor Xavier — lived quietly until the suit malfunctioned and he began to go crazy.

James Franco may be the next star to join Fox's X-Men universe.
The multihyphenate is in negotiations to play Multiple Man in a stand-alone being developed by X-Men producer Simon Kinberg, godfather of Fox's universe based on the uncanny Marvel mutants.
Allan Heinberg, one of the writers behind Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman, is set to pen the feature. Kinberg would produce under his Genre Films label, along with Franco and his Ramona Films.

Too often we hear of film projects falling apart when a director/star walks away or, in the more common scenario, a studio pulls the plug altogether. From Fantastic Four 2 to Sony’s fabled Sinister Six crossover, you don’t have to search too far to locate a big-name project that failed to get off the ground. Thankfully, Gambit isn’t one of them.
Yes, the X-Men spinoff has encountered one setback after another since it was first announced, but despite all those frustrating false starts, Channing Tatum remains attached to headline as the ice-cool Remy LeBeau. That’s the real name of the titular hero, a card-playing Cajun who hails from New Orleans. Originally portrayed by Taylor Kitsch in the widely derided X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the torch has since been passed over to Tatum, whose long-time affinity for the character stretches all the way back to childhood.

This week, I am deciding to eat my vegetables before dessert and am reviewing the Ultimatum crossover series many weeks before I get to it in my History of the Ultimate Universe series. I am also combining my column with our mini event “Worst Comics Month”. This is because after I finished binge reading Ultimate Spider-Man Volume One and decided to read this “Ultimatum” series, which filled the gaps in some of the final issues, I (the neophyte comics fan) felt like I had truly experienced a bad comic with its ugly art, “shocking” plot reveals with little or no build-up, and jarring switches in tone from Hulk switching from dumb to smart to in between in the space of a panel to...

Back in October, an unconfirmed report revealed that Fox is working on a live-action X-Men TV series, following comments made by producer Simon Kinberg in April that teased the possibility of this happening. Today, TV Insider spoke with Fox Entertainment chairman Gary Newman, who confirms that the network is in talks with Marvel for an X-Men show. Here's what he had to say:.
"It's in negotiations. We're cautiously optimistic, we had a good meeting with them. That will not be on a fast track creatively. This is just the deal, now we have to find the creative."
The site reports that, while 20th Century Fox owns the film rights, the comic rights still belong to Marvel, which is owned by Disney. A new live-action TV series will require Marvel's blessing, which has lead to "some delicate talks." Gary Newman also added that he doesn't think the show will be ready for the 2016-2017 TV season.

Having stolen the show in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," there's a rumor swirling that the speedy mutant character of Quicksilver could be one of the characters to appear on the recently revealed live-action "X-Men" series in development.
Film Divider reported the rumor which says the series will exist within the X-Men film universe and is "designed to permit crossovers". They also say that the idea of including Jamie Madrox, a.k.a. Multiple Man, is being "kicked around seriously," while the main character could well be a female mutant.
Evans is no stranger to TV, having worked as a regular on FX's "American Horror Story". If the rumors are true though, it would hint that Fox could be sticking to past times with the series rather than jumping forward to the present day batch of mutants.

Earlier this week, we heard a rumor that 20th Century Fox was looking to get into the superhero television game with a live-action X-Men series. The show is supposedly in “deep development” at the moment, and could be based on Peter David’s X-Factor comic book series, which featured a spin0ff team of mutants hired by the United States government.
Now, new rumors about the potential series have surfaced. According to Film Divider, the show will exist within the X-Men film universe and is “absolutely designed to permit crossovers” with the movies. As exciting as that is for fans, it presents certain problems for Fox, most notably involving who to cast in the show and which mutants to include. As such, a character who was a runaway hit in the films could very well give the series an immediate boost: Quicksilver.

Earlier this week, a new report revealed that Fox is in the early stages of developing a live-action X-Men TV series, bringing these beloved mutants to the small screen at a time when the franchise is more popular than ever, after this summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. A new report from Film Divider hints that Fox may be bringing the scene-stealing star from X-Men: Days of Future Past, Quicksilver, into the series. This would connect the show to the X-Men cinematic universe.
It isn't immediately clear if the studio plans on bringing back Evan Peters to play the speedy Quicksilver, but the actor is best known for his work on the small screen, appearing in every season of FX's horror anthology series American Horror Story. However, if they do bring the actor back, that will likely limit the series to be set in the 1970s, where his portion of...

A report recently surfaced that Fox is developing a live-action X-Men TV series. We have an update on this project for you that confirms that it's happening and comes along with some more details one what he might see in the show. The following information comes from Film Divider.
The site claims that there is a good chance that the series will be based on Peter David's acclaimed X-Factor comic run. This story arc followed Jamie Madrox, aka Multiple Man, who sets up a detective agency. That definitely seems like a solid setting for a TV series that could provide a good amount of interesting and fun episodes revolving around the investigations that they take on.
Apparently, Fox has been struggling with which group of characters they should bring into the show though. The site says that they have a fear of bringing in a bunch of no name...

Yesterday came news that Fox is in "deep development" of a live-action "X-Men" television series. Now comes a report of which characters might be featured in that series.
Film Divider claims that Fox is considering building the show around Quicksilver and Multiple Man. Both are known quantities, but not major players in the "X-Men" movies. "There's a fear of using no-name characters, worried that this will cost them viewers (cf. Agents of Shield), but also concern that burning up heavy hitters could cut off potential streams of movie revenue," the site says.
Quicksilver was introduced in this year's "X-Men: Days of Future Past," and instantly became a standout thanks to a stunning slow-mo scene. He was played by Evan Peters, who is no stranger to television, having starred in FX's "American Horror Story."
As for Multiple Man aka Jamie Madrox, that character was floated as a possible lead with yesterday's news.

In an update to the X-Men tv series report, we heard that the show may well be based on Peter David's acclaimed X-Factor comic run which saw Jamie Madrox, aka Multiple Man, setting up a detective agency. The website Film Divider add that they've heard this is "more than just a possibility", and have some extra details too. According to them Fox have been struggling to decide on a group of main characters for the show, and might be wary of going the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. route of using mostly unknown or new faces. To remedy this, one character that's apparently being talked about is X-Men: Days Of Future Past's Quicksilver (Evan Peters), but since he appeared in the past timeline of that movie it's unclear if they'd give the show a period setting, or simply recast the role and use an older version of the character. There's...

The "X-Men" were a huge hit this summer on the big screen; now, they might be taking over the small screen, too.
A source told Bleeding Cool that Fox is in "deep development" of a live-action "X-Men" television show. This lines up with what "X-Men: Days of Future Past" writer Simon Kinberg has said in the past - that Fox is looking to expand its Marvel characters (including the X-Men and Fantastic Four) into television, a la "Agents of Shield."
It's extremely unlikely, though, that an "X-Men" show would feature any of the characters (or actors) from the movies. Fox wouldn't want to mess with a lucrative movie franchise. Instead, EatGeekPlay writer Shawn Madden tweeted that he believes the series would adapt an "X-Men" spinoff, "X-Force":
The X-Factor series will definitely feature Jamie Madrox and be sort of like "Fringe in the X-Men world".

According to multiple sources, 20th Century Fox is looking to get into the superhero TV game and are in the process of bringing the X-Men from the big screen to the small screen. Bleeding Cool first broke the news, claiming that Fox was currently in “deep development” on a live-action X-Men series.
X-Men: Days of Future Past producer Simon Kinberg once stated that “the serialized format of comic books is better suited for TV,” so the idea of Fox moving forward with a show focusing on the mutants comes as no real surprise. In fact, it was kind of inevitable, especially with both DC and Marvel having several shows currently on air or in active development.

It was like one of those puzzle pictures we used to read in Highlights Magazine in the dentist’s office waiting room. The “What’s wrong with this picture?” one. But with one major difference. In this case, the picture is She-Hulk v 3 # 8, and the answer to what’s wrong with it is, not much of anything. Still, I want to show I can waste as much of our time writing about how a comic book story got the law right as I can writing about how it got the law wrong. So here goes.
She-Hulk v 3 # 8 started in a Los Angeles hospital where a dying nonagenarian made a death bed confession regarding “something terrible he needed to get off his chest.” No, not his “I heart Snooki” tattoo. Unfortunately, the story immediately cut to three weeks later, so we don’t know to what the dying man confessed.

Believe it or not, after Dark Phoenix there are still more X-Men movies on the way!
Eventually, the X-Men will get to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But in the meantime, there are still movies nearly completed, so we'll still see New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix before any changes that drastic take effect.
But this is still pretty much the end of the X-Men movies as we know them. Many of the projects on this list are unlikely to come to pass. Then again, you should probably count Deadpool out at your own risk. Disney knows a lucrative piece of IP when they see one.
So, here we have the final, sad remnants of the 20th Century Fox X-Men movie universe. For a more realistic picture of what's actually happening, you might want to have a look at this schedule of upcoming Marvel McU movies.

The X-Men have been around for more than 50 years. They multiply: rapidly, frequently, endlessly. They aren’t really a superteam like the Justice League or the Avengers, those all-star crews built out of solo-series stars (Superman, Captain America) mixed together with B-list glue characters (Martian Manhunter, Wonder Man). With one very obvious exception and a few other arguable exceptions, the X-Men aren’t Solo-Star people. They are a team.
Or rather, teams. Chris Claremont’s iconic decade-and-a-half run on Uncanny X-Men cemented the idea that the X-lineup was eternally fluid: Characters died, left on sabbatical, joined the Avengers, got replaced...

This has not gone unnoticed by 20th Century Fox, the studio that owns the rights to both the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises. Below, David discusses the series and the cast members who have so far been revealed. What do you think? "So much of what happens in this country stems from corporate control and involvement. So why not expand that real world philosophy to the world of comics and have it be that a corporation is interested in expanding into super heroes? Announced at San Diego Comic-Con during the X-Men panel, Marvel revealed their plans for the upcoming mini-series titled, “Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe” due to arrive in November 2013. Written by Christopher Hastings and illustrated by Jacopo Camagni, the upcoming series will feature Longshot stepping out on his own after leaving Jamie Madrox’s X-Factor squad where he finds himself the target of S.H.I.E.L.D., an all-new villain who appears to be hunting down those with good luck, and some “all-powerful cosmic entities.”
“Longshot seems to have stretched his luck a bit too far, and set off a very, very unlucky chain of events that he feels responsible for fixing. Unlikely heroes are the most exciting heroes! It has been incredibly fun for me to start with the biggest most terrible threat for Longshot to face down and *then* figure out a way for him to realistically handle it.
