Emmy Award winning, Tina Malavé has been producing and creating television programming for over 25 years. In March of 2020 she partnered with her best friend of over 20 years, Cat Josell to form Executress Decisions Entertainment, to develop a slate of non-scripted/reality programming.
In 2009 Tina was brought in by ABC Los Angeles to reimagine the station's iconic, legacy program, Eye on L.A., revamping it for a new generation. As its Showrunner and Host, Eye on L.A. saw its strongest performing decade in the brand's history.
Other notable projects include Tina's 2019 documentary, L.A. Pride, exploring Los Angeles' L.G.B.T.Q. history, which was acquired by George Washington University to be included in their Advocacy Studies Course.
In 2012 Tina was also the Executive Producer, Writer and Host for the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award winning documentary, The Legends of Laurel Canyon, which chronicled the music legends residing in L.A.'s famed canyon in the 1960s. The documentary was further honored with the prestigious distinction of a six month run at the Grammy Museum.
Prior to that, Tina was recruited to create and develop diverse programming for networks like, WeTV (Women's Entertainment Television), and developed a full slate of English language, Latinx programming for SiTV (now FUSE).
Tina grew up in Overbrook, West Philadelphia and started her career in South Beach Miami. She began her television career in her early 20s when she suddenly became the nation's go-to girl for everything hot happening in Miami. She was in high demand, working in multiple mediums at the same time including, reporting for WFOR-CBS and WSVN-FOX, as an award-winning morning radio show host and producer for top rated Clear Channel station Y100, the Miami correspondent for many of E! Entertainment Television's programs, and a contributing writer for several publications including, Miami Metro Magazine, The NY Post and The NY Observer.
Tina lives in Los Angeles with her husband, writer, Rob Rose.
