Wheel Of Time Season 3 Casting Sets Up A Surprising Age of Legends Story That's Not In The Books
Image
Season 3 of "The Wheel of Time" delves deeper into the Age of Legends, focusing on powerful channelers and key historical events. An older Latra in the upcoming season suggests a storyline set after Lews Therin's death, potentially exploring uncharted territory. The return of Latra may revive the theory of her connection to Egwene, adding a new layer to the character's backstory.

Casting details for The Wheel of Time season 3 set the stage for an Age of Legends story that's not in any of Robert Jordan's books. The historic era known as the Age of Legends is remembered as a time when The Wheel of Time's world was abundant with powerful, heroic channelers, both male and female. Back then, the True Source had yet to be tainted, meaning men and women alike could use the One Power for good as Aes Sedai.

Easily the most important figures living during the...

“Knives Out 2” isn’t the only murder mystery hitting theaters later this year, as Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for “See How They Run” that finds Oscar winner Sam Rockwell and Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan investigating a suspicious murder in 1950s London.

Written by Mark Chappell (“Flaked”) and directed by Tom George (“This Country”), “See How Thy Run” takes place in the West End where plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after the film’s Hollywood director (played by Adrien Brody) is murdered.

A weary inspector (Rockwell) and an eager rookie constable (Ronan) take on the case, and quickly find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground.

Grimmfest 2015: ‘Howl’ Review
Stars: Ed Speleers, Holly Weston, Elliot Cowan, Amit Shah, Sam Gittins, Shauna Macdonald, Duncan Preston, Ania Marson, Rosie Day, Calvin Dean, Sean Pertwee, Brett Goldstein | Written by Mark Huckerby, Nick Ostler | Directed by Paul Hyett

It’s hard to believe that it’s been three years since special effects man Paul Hyett exploded onto the horror landscape with The Seasoning House, a brutal look at the horrors of war that divided audiences with its harrowing depictions of rape, torture and murder. Cut to 2015 and Hyett returns to the directors chair for Howl. A traditional… werewolf movie? And one penned by a writing duo who, until now, have been best known for their work in children’s television, in particular the likes of Thomas & Friends, Tree Fu Tom and Peter Rabbit. It sounds like an odd combination, one that shouldn’t work. But it does.

It works because whilst Howl may...
