It works for its audience and knows how to please its viewers, having done so generation after generation in MTV and in its speciality MTV is a master with plots that are especially thought out for segments of people in their twenties and with just enough complexity to not stand apart.

Fox teen comedy Teen Wolf in 1985, a film that was followed by a short-lived 1986 animated series of the same name and the 1987 sequel Teen Wolf Too. After going dormant for some time, the franchise was resurrected in a more gritty and realistic form in the MTV series Teen Wolf, which ran for 6 seasons between 2011 and 2017. Teen Wolf is known for its epic battles between different beings of the supernatural. Not only that, but the show is filled with monster hunters, meaning that every character, both supernatural and human, has a range of strengths and fighting abilities.

However, not everyone is equally as skilled in fighting. Some characters tend to hang back in battle and attribute in other ways. Because of this, it is easy to rank the main characters of Teen Wolf in terms of how well they would do in a fight.

Teen Wolf is generally looked on as an exciting, romantic, and suspenseful show. But on top of that, it also happened to be incredibly funny. Each character had some kind of humourous quirk to their personality, and each got their chance to shine with either funny quotes or physical comedy.

Paramount+ dropped a flurry of casting announcements for its in-production Teen Wolf Movie on Friday afternoon.

Of the announcements, the biggest shocker is that Derek Hale's son, Eli Hale, will be a part of the drama.

Vince Mattos has landed the role, but there's still no confirmation on whether Tyler Hoechlin will return.

Speaking of the Hale family, Ian Bohen has closed a deal to return as Peter Hale.

Bohen is currently starring opposite Hoechlin on Superman & Lois, and that might be the closest thing to a reunion between the two stars we'll be getting.

Khylin Rhambo is also returning as Mason Hewitt, while new cast members include Amy Lin Workman as Hikari Zhang and Nobi Nakanishi as Deputy Ishida.

The highly-anticipated project entered production on Monday, which means we have our first dose of behind-the-scenes images!

Bohen opened up to TV Line about the absence of the beloved characters.

“We would love to do that together, and I can absolutely see a world where we are reunited,” the actor shared.

“I know they’re shooting here pretty soon, so you will have a definite yea or nay forthcoming for certain."

While not all of her love interests are guilty of mistreatment, some are better suited for Lydia than others.

Scott and Allison were intended to be the main romance of Teen Wolf, but fans were far more interested in Stiles' love life. Stiles was first introduced as Scott's loyal sidekick, and his role as the comic relief kept the series light-hearted. However, it didn't take long for the writers to realize Stiles' emotional range and his deep capacity for love.

Stiles became one of the show's most layered characters, and his romance with Lydia took over as the central love story. He admits to using sarcasm as a defense, but when he falls for someone, there's no hiding his true feelings. Malia was Stiles' first girlfriend, and the two shared plenty of sweet moments. Yet Stiles and Lydia were portrayed to be each other's true loves, and several of his most romantic quotes are directed at her.

Lydia Martin had the most significant development out of everyone in Teen Wolf. When she was introduced, she cared only about popularity and her image. Lydia's superiority complex made her condescending, and she refused to be vulnerable or show genuine emotion.

It took time, but Lydia became one of the most warmhearted characters that the series ever created. Of all the characters on Teen Wolf, only Scott and Lydia are two of the only Pack members to be heavily involved in all six seasons. The series centered around Scott, so naturally, he would have one of the largest character arcs. Throughout the seasons, Scott developed becoming more comfortable with being a werewolf while also growing as a person and friend. After desperately not wanting to be a werewolf, Scott turns into a leader his friends follow loyally.

If there is any character at the end of the series that is vastly different from their first introduction, it's Lydia Martin. Lydia, at first, had fallen into a more stereotypical popular girl role. She dated the popular Jackson and acted as if others were below her. Yet, through the seasons, she becomes closer with those she had ignored for years.

The cast of MTV's Teen Wolf assembled Friday as part of the network's new digital brand Reunions.

The event brought Tyler Posey (Scott McCall), Dylan O’Brien (Stiles Stilinski), and Holland Roden (Lydia Martin) back together.

They were joined by fellow Teen Wolf stars Orny Adams (Coach Finstock), Linden Ashby (Noah Stilinski), Ian Bohen (Peter Hale), Charlie Carver (Ethan), Max Carver (Aiden), Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura), Cody Christian (Theo Raeken), Shelley Hennig (Malia Tate), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), Khylin Rhambo (Mason Hewitt), and Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar) to talk about the beloved series.

While there was lots to talk about, the cast was asked to share what they took from the set when the series wrapped production, and well, we're a little surprised at what some of them got away with.

Ponzio revealed she asked the art department to print out a map of Beacon Hills, and they agreed to do so.

No one wants their favorite television characters to lose. 

While watching a show, viewers are always rooting for those on it to come out victorious. Otherwise, we wouldn't be invested, and therefore wouldn't be entertained. 

But, similar to real life, not everything is rainbows and butterflies. Sometimes, on television, characters need to experience something that, while is unpleasant, changes them for the better. 

Lydia Martin from MTV's Teen Wolf is a prime example of this notion.

It feels safe to say that not everyone was a huge fan of Lydia at the beginning of the series. 

Her quirky attitude may have come across as funny, at times, but she was a downright mean person who didn't care about anyone other than herself. 

It wasn't until Lydia almost died, and she got put through the wringer that there was a noticeable shift in her.

A lot of characters came and went on Teen Wolf, but Lydia Martin remained. In fact, she was the only female member of Scott McCall’s pack to remain on the series from the series premiere to the series finale. She appeared in almost as many episodes as Scott McCall himself. Lydia Martin might as well have been the supernatural queen of Beacon Hills.

During her reign as the town’s resident banshee, Lydia had a variety of one-liners. Sometimes, they were deep and meaningful, and other times, she was full of sarcasm. Regardless of her tone, Lydia Martin was always iconic.

Werewolves, a human, a banshee, a werecoyote, a kitsune, and even a hunter or two made up Scott McCall’s wolf pack. The pack was the central focus for all six seasons of Teen Wolf. Though some members left Beacon Hills and new supernatural beings joined their fight, at its core was Scott and his friends.

Through all of the supernatural battles on Teen Wolf, friendship was the driving force. If not for the bonds among the main characters, they never would have made it through high school. Of course, some of those friendships were more powerful than others.

Teen Wolf set up connections between characters that didn’t always pay off. One of those was the connection between Stiles and Lydia. While Stiles admired Lydia from afar in the early days of the show, they didn’t become friends until season two—and more until much later.

It wasn’t always clear if Stiles and Lydia would foster a romantic relationship or a deep friendship. Both proved to be true by the time the Ghost Riders came for Stiles in season six. While much of their relationship was the stuff of a teen television fairy tale, there were also plenty of times the two simply weren’t relationship goals.

When MTV debuted their supernatural series Teen Wolf, Lydia Martin was one of the first characters to be introduced to what would become the show's dedicated fanbase. Played by Holland Roden over the course of 100 episodes, Lydia grew from the typical popular girl in teen television to an integral part of Scott McCall’s pack.

Though she appeared “normal” when the series began all those years ago, Lydia eventually revealed herself as the smartest person in Beacon Hills. Her supernatural abilities also manifested over seasons two and three until she learned she was a banshee, like her grandmother before her.
