Jodie Foster Says ‘Team America: World Police’ Is Her ‘Number One’ Required Film Everyone Should See
Image
Oscar-winning icon Jodie Foster is revealing her must-see films list…and let’s just say, it’s a little surprising.

The “Nyad” star said while in conversation with “Past Lives” actress Greta Lee for Interview magazine that she has two films she recommends everyone should watch. To note, Lee also appeared in Foster’s “Money Monster.”

Lee asked Foster, “What’s one movie you think everyone should see at least once?” to which Foster replied, “Well, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once.’ Oh, and this is probably number one — the puppet movie ‘Team America: World Police.'”

“Team America: World Police” was a 2004 political satire film directed by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The film centered around an “Avengers” style group of counterterrorist police officers deemed Team America. The force accidentally destroys a slew of international landmarks while trying to take down real-life North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract Brings The Dark On April 18th – Trailer
Those who aren’t familiar with anything but the cute Teen Titans series are in for quite a surprise as the heroes return to their darker roots in Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, which is one of the most incredible efforts from the comics. The feature-length film is inspired by a story arc from the 1984 DC comic, and has an incredible voice cast backing the supremely gritty arc.

The Blu-Ray Giftset, which includes an exclusive Blue Beetle figurine, will hit on April 18th, with Digital HD release on April 4th.

In The Judas Contract, the Titans – Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin, and Nightwing – are led by Starfire, but their newest teammate, Terra, is throwing the groups dynamic out of whack, and the team comes up against Brother Blood, an ancient evil, and Deathstroke is waiting in the wings to cause problems as well.

The “normal” plotline of...

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract Blu-Ray Cover Art And Release Date Revealed
With the release of Justice League Dark now being behind us, it’s time that we look forward to the next DC animated film to be released by Warner Home Video, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Originally slated to arrive in 2008, this loose adaptation of the popular comic written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Perez has finally become a reality and is set to arrive via Digital HD on April 4, with Blu-ray and DVD releases following on April 18, which, to be quite honest, falls within the period we predicted.

Yes, we did do a rundown of the initially announced voice cast not long ago, but some exciting new additions have been revealed that Young Justice fans will want to take note of, so do pay attention. Aside from the previously disclosed lot that included Christina Ricci (Terra) and Miguel Ferrer (Deathstroke), Justice League vs. Teen Titans veterans...

‘Broken Age’ is point-and-click gaming at its finest
Broken Age

Developed by Double Fine Productions

Published by Double Fine Productions

Available on Android, iOS, Mac, PC, PS4, Ps Vita

Broken Age is a smart, funny, and challenging point-and-click adventure game in the style of genre greats like Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island. To mention Broken Age positively in the same sentence as those games is to prove just what a remarkable job the good people at Double Fine have done at reviving the classic point-and-click genre in a post-Telltale world. Indeed, where many throwbacks like the execrable Duke Nukem Forever only serve to remind us why we moved on in the first place, Broken Age succeeds in proving that there’s plenty of life left in the old dog yet.

Coming from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions, Broken Age started life as a Kickstarter project in early 2012. Hoping that people missed the point-and-click adventure genre...

James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Randall Park in The Interview (2014)
Paramount Cancels 'Team America' Screenings
James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Randall Park in The Interview (2014)
When Sony Pictures canceled the Christmas Day release of The Interview yesterday, several theaters across the country, including the famous Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, announced plans to screen the 2004 Paramount Pictures comedy Team America: World Police in its place. Today, the Drafthouse and other theater chains revealed on their official Twitter accounts that Paramount has canceled the screenings. No details were provided as to why Paramount decided to pull the plug on the handful of screenings.

The comedy, from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, would have been a fitting replacement for The Interview, since they both depict North Korea in an unfavorable light. The Interview centers on Seth Rogen and James Franco's characters being tasked by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un (Randall Park). Team America: World Police, on the other hand, featured the dictator's late father, Kim Jong-Il, voiced by Trey Parker.

Irrational Reveals The Full Voice Cast For 'Bioshock Infinite'
Troy Baker will be playing Booker while Courtnee Draper takes on the role of Elizabeth as Irrational lays out the "Mass Effect," "Kingdom Hearts II," and "Sealab 2021" vets among the cast portraying the heroes and villains of "Bioshock Infinite."

You can find the full cast list after the jump.

The coolest thing about this cast list is that it's populated by veteran voice actors and not simply sprinkled liberally with television and film actors putting in a couple of hours in the booth. "Dishonored" had a great cast of performers turning in one of the more uninspired collection of voice overs in recent memory.

Troy Baker

(Final Fantasy Xiii, Catherine, Red Faction: Guerilla, Brothers In Arms, Batman: Arkham City)

as Booker DeWitt

Courtnee Draper

(Surf’s Up, Ponyo, and Kingdom Hearts II)

as Elizabeth

Jennifer Hale

(Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic)

as Rosalind Lutece

Oliver Vaquer

Cartoon Network Debuts 'Thunder & Lightning' (Black Lightning & His Super-Powered Daughters)
I'm only just learning about this, so some of you (especially if you watch the Cartoon Network, or are plugged into that universe) will likely already be familiar. So what I could determine is that the Cartoon Network commissioned a series of animated shorts for its Saturday morning DC Nation block. One of them is titled Thunder and Lightning, which follows the exploits of the DC superhero Black Lightning (voiced by Blair Underwood) and his super-powered daughters Thunder (voiced by Cree Summer) and Lightning (voiced by Masasa Moyo). Thunder and Lightning receive their costumes from Peter Gambi (voiced by Jeff Bennett) in order to help their father fight crime. Of course I...

Exclusive Set Report and Photo Gallery from H.M. Coakley's Hollaback
Stepping onto the set of writer/director H.M. Coakley’s horror whodunit Hollaback last year on December 18th, the first few things that became readily apparent were the blood trail which serpentined across the wood flooring of the 130-year-old Los Angeles Antebellum mansion (doubling for the deep South) and the flick’s ‘token white chick,’ who came in the form of actress Allison Kyler. The third was the abundance of enthusiasm for the production which was mirrored by cast and crew alike.

Arriving to set on day eleven of fifteen and greeted by Hollaback associate producer and casting director Venk Modur, we conducted the majority of our hushed interviews against the aural backdrop of screams and whimpering as writer and director Coakley led his cast through the film’s scripted carnage.

“It is a sequel,” said Modur of Hollaback, which serves as a follow-up to filmmaker Coakley’s 2006 feature Holla...

Katt Shea's "The List" delayed yet again
The List, which details a group of young teenage males who form a list of those that they want to seek revenge on, has been delayed yet again. The film which was originally set to start filming in summer 2010 was delayed till October 2010. It has been delayed yet again until spring 2011.

According to director Katt Shea, the money is still in place for The List and that the script will be filmed just not till spring 2011. Knowing Katt Shea's penchant for strong characterizations, honest dialogue, timely material and an ability to draw strong performances from her cast, The List should be something to look forward to. This will mark the director's first film after a ten year absence. Noteworthy projects in the past include Stripped To Kill, Poison Ivy and The Rage: Carrie II.

Cast members currently attached to The List include Haley Bennett, Evan Peters, Louis Gossett Jr.,...
