Rachel Zoe
A familiar face from Bravo’s past is picking up a diamond. Fashion stylist and entrepreneur Rachel Zoe confirmed on Instagram that she will join “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” when cameras roll for season 15, calling the move “the perfect time to come back to TV.”

Bravo later verified her casting, ending weeks of speculation and marking the first new full-time addition since Bozoma Saint John arrived last year. Joy Behar absent from The View as Star Jones fills in: Here’s what we know
Whoopi Goldberg
A shakeup is happening on The View. Recent episodes have been missing one familiar face; this time, it is not Whoopi Goldberg taking time off.

As Monsters and Critics reported, Whoopi took an extended break from The View to attend Paris Fashion Week with her new look.

Joy Behar, who filled in extensively for the absent Whoopi, is now missing and has not taped an episode of The View since the last week of January 2025.

Joy has historically served as moderator for Whoopi. She enjoys a long weekend and takes Mondays off each week.

Joy has missed several days recently, more than her usual day off, necessitating a fill-in from another The View alum, Star Jones.

Star Jones has the distinction of previously hosting nine seasons of The View and being on the original panel alongside Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar, and Debbie Matenopoulos.

Joy’s absence has Star...

Fans Are Worried About 'The View' — Is the Long-Running Show Getting the Axe?
Image
Instagram/@theviewabc

It seems like every now and then, some rumors hit the internet claiming that ABC's long-running talk show The View is getting the axe.

And we're not kidding when we say it's long-running. Who else remembers when it premiered in 1997 and had Debbie Matenopoulos, who SNL used to viciously lampoon? (Poor Debbie — she seemed nice!)

Anyway, the current lineup of ladies — which includes Og Joy Behar alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin — can be seen in the usual View spot, weekdays at 11 a.m. Est.

So why do people think the show is getting canceled? What's going on?

You may have seen some posts floating around Facebook indicating that ABC is shaking things up by changing their lineups.

The View: Why Sherri Shepherd Really Left The Talk Show (& The Emotional Reason For Her Return)
Image
Sherri Shepherd was one of the longest-tenured co-hosts on The View, leaving after a long career on the show. Contract negotiations were likely the main reason for Shepherd's departure, not controversies or disagreements. Shepherd returned for a moving tribute to producer Bill Geddie and has found success in television after leaving The View.

ABC's daytime talk show, The View, has had 24 co-hosts around the table since its premiere in 1997, and Sherri Shepherd has the honor of being one of the longest-tenured on the show, making her departure particularly poignant. The View has been a staple of daytime TV since Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, Joy Behar, and Barbara Walters sat around a semicircle table to discuss pop culture and sociopolitical news of the day from a woman's perspective. Not necessarily a gossip show, the conversations are frequently thought-provoking and hotly debated.

Save for Joy Behar, no other co-host...

A very trim Dave Coulier is wearing dark sunglasses and his grey baseball hat on backward. As for Lori, she looks classic with pearl stud earrings, some gold necklaces, and a white blazer and t-shirt. She certainly does not look like she is out working out.

‘The View’: All permanent hosts
Image
When ABC’s “The View” premiered in the summer of 1997, it was introduced by creator Barbara Walters as a talk show focused on “women of different generations, backgrounds, and views.” To that end, the meticulously curated inaugural panel of hosts consisted of five loquacious ladies (aged 22-67) who brought an abundance of life experience to the table. Over 27 seasons, the ever-popular show has gone through 24 full-time hosts whose tenures have lasted an average of five years. Scroll through our chronological photo gallery to learn more about the fascinating careers of these lively presenters.

Walters, who also served as an original host of “The View,” was joined in that sense by Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, Meredith Vieira, and (periodically at first but then permanently) Joy Behar. Today, only Behar remains, with the rest of the present lineup featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro. Over the years,...

“I don’t know, I was worried I would get upset and I didn’t want to do that. So, there you go,” she added.

Barbara Walters, Legendary Journalist And TV Icon, Dead At 93
Image
Barbara Walters, the legendary Emmy-award winning broadcast journalism pioneer and co-creator of “The View”, has died. She was 93 years old.

ABC News confirmed the news on Friday. No cause of death was given. Disney CEO Bob Iger tweeted that Walters died on Friday evening at her home in New York.

Throughout her more than 50-year career, Walter became a staple in broadcasting, helming the “Today” show ABC News, “20/20”, “The View”, and her annual “Most Fascinating People” special, while simultaneously paving the way for other female journalists.

Making a name in an industry dominated by men became an unspoken routine for Walters who began working for “20/20” in 1978. Joining the news magazine reunited Walters with her former “Today” co-host, Hugh Downs, and solidified what became her legacy.

Walters was born on September 25, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up in Boston, Miami and New York, the latter of which is where she launched...

What Is Great American Family? Everything to Know About Hallmark and Lifetime’s Holiday Movie Competitor
Image
The world of holiday programming continues to grow. While Hallmark Channel and Lifetime have seen major success with their “Countdown to Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” slates, respectively, Great American Family joined the discussion in 2021.

In June 2021, the network, originally tilted Great American Country (Gac), was acquired by Gac Media, a group formed by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott and Hicks Equity Partners. In the fall of that year, the network was relaunched as Gac Family.

Under Gac Media, Great American Country changed to “Gac Family” and later to “Great American Family” — the title they have gone by since August 2022. The channel became similar in content to what Abbott had created at Hallmark, including original made-for-tv movies, holiday programming and big franchises. However, it also focuses more heavily on faith-driven programming.

Gaf acquired Season 2 of “When Hope Calls,” a spin-off of Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart,” as...
