Sydney Sweeney absolutely caused a digital kerfuffle with her “good jeans” advertising campaign with American Eagle, but it’s actually not crybaby liberals who are hopelessly obsessing over the Euphoria actor’s jeans, genes, body, and politics — it’s Republicans and Fox News.
According to a report published by CNN’s Reliable Sources on Tuesday, over the course of a single week, Fox News mentioned Sweeney at least 766 times, compared to only 53 mentions of Jeffrey Epstein and the scandal surrounding President Donald Trump’s relationship with the convicted sex offender,...

Americans are overwhelmingly skeptical of Donald Trump’s handling of information related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. In a new UMass Amherst national poll, 70 percent of respondents said Trump is not handling the Epstein case well, while only 18 percent said he is.
Among respondents who were aware of Epstein, the deceased billionaire and convicted sex offender, 63 percent agreed that the Trump administration “is hiding important information” about the case. Of those who said the administration is hiding information, a staggering 81 percent blamed Trump for it. Others in Trump’s orbit also received blame,...

Donald Trump believes Sean “Diddy” Combs is “half-innocent” out of his sex-trafficking trial, but there will be no presidential pardon right now for the much-accused Grammy winner.
And, just two days after Deadline exclusively reported that Trump was “seriously considering” such a pardon and the White House played its cards close to the chest, Friday’s no pardon stance makes Diddy foe 50 Cent very happy indeed.
“Can you believe he thought he was getting pardoned,” the Power franchise EP and pro-Trump rapper posted on social media with an AI generated image late Friday after a still grievance fueled Potus told Newsmax he wasn’t inclined to grant Combs a get outta jail card. “No Sir, you are not. You said very nasty things.”

Ghislaine Maxwell has been transferred to a new federal prison in Texas and the woman behind convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein will be housed alongside two famous faces at the lower security lockup.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 on charges related of luring teenage girls to be sexually abused by the late financier and sentenced to 20 years in prison on sex trafficking and transportation of minors charges. She was serving her sentence in Florida until this week and is now at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The news of her transfer comes as the details and mysteries of the Epstein saga have come roaring back into the news after Attorney General Pam Bondi said earlier this month that no more files related to the Epstein sex trafficking investigation would be made public and that he didn’t maintain a “client list.”

Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend and associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been moved from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security prison in Bryan, Texas.
Maxwell, 63, was convicted of child sex trafficking with Epstein. Last week, she met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche about the case. She is hashing out a possible deal to detail secrets involving Epstein and his associates in exchange for a possible pardon.
The decision to move Maxwell was discovered by the New York Post. The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not give the newspaper a reason as to why she was moved.
David Oscar Marcus, Maxwell’s lawyer, also declined to provide details on the reasoning.
“We can confirm that she was moved, but we have no comment,” Marcus said.

The family of Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein who died by suicide earlier this year, has released a statement responding to President Donald Trump claiming this week that he had a falling out with Epstein because Epstein “stole” Giuffre and other young women employed at Mar-a-Lago’s spa.

For years, adherents of the pro-Trump QAnon movement and Maga influencers in its orbit spread unhinged conspiracy theories about human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children by powerful liberal elites. Many believed that Trump was engaged in a secret war with this cabal of predators and would eventually bring them to justice. But with Trump back in the White House, those known for sowing fears of a trafficking epidemic have significantly scaled back any mention of it.

Donald Trump doesn’t appear to be ruling out the possibility of pardoning convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, telling reporters on Monday that he is “allowed to give her a pardon,” but that he is yet to be asked to do so.
“Well, I’m allowed to give her a pardon,” Trump said when asked about the prospect while meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland. “But nobody’s approached me with it. Nobody’s asked me about it. It’s in the news, about that, that aspect of it.

Well, there was definitely some intriguing heroes revealed in the HD version of Superman's Hall of Justice metahuman mural.
Some of the initial guesses from the low-res screengrabs of the scene were accurate, but others were way off.
Jay Garrick turned out to be Max Mercury, Amethyst ended up being Madame Xanadu, and Doctor Fate was revealed to be Maxwell Lord of all people.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the only person who has been convicted in connection with the late Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking ring to date, provided testimony about 100 different people when meeting with the Department of Justice on Friday. The department granted he “limited immunity” for her testimony.
Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, said, “I think Ghislaine did a wonderful job. She literally answered every question. She didn’t say, You know what? Don’t ask me that. I’m not going to talk about this person. She was asked maybe about 100 different people. She answered questions about everybody, and she didn’t hold anything back. They asked about every single, every possible thing you could imagine, everything.
“Ghislaine answered every single question asked of her over the last day and a half, she answered those questions honestly, truthfully, to the best of her ability. She never invoked a privilege. She never refused to answer a question.

Friday, July 25, marked the final show of the season for The View, and the Hot Topics began with a discussion about the Department of Justice meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell. This eventually led into talk about Jeffrey Epstein, as well as Donald Trump‘s connection to the convicted sex offender. Specifically, Ana Navarro had a lot to say about the narrative about Trump and Maxwell. “I want people to remember this, because this has lasted now almost three weeks, this conversation,” she began. “It is unbelievable, nothing has happened like this to Trump before. I want people to remember this. I keep hearing, in the media, Trump supporters and media folks, refer to [Trump and Epstein] as ‘associates’. I call bulls**t on that.” She went on to point out that Trump and Epstein were far more than just associates. “They were incredibly close friends for 15 years,” Navarro continued. “There’s all sorts...

First responders in Costa Rica managed to revive a second swimmer in distress on Sunday using CPR, but were unable to save the life of The Cosby Show star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
A statement from the Red Cross in the Latin American country says first responders received word on Sunday at 2:10 p.m. that two male swimmers required emergency treatment due to a “water-related incident” at Playa Grande, Cahuita, Limon.
Three ambulances immediately rushed to the oceanside beach and emergency personnel attended to two adult male patients. Paramedics using CPR managed to revive one of the swimmers, who was transported in “critical condition” to a local clinic in Limon, according to the Red Cross.
But CPR performed on a second swimmer, who turned out to be Warner, did not succeed and “he was unfortunately declared deceased at the scene,” the statement said.

Maria Farmer twice reported Donald Trump’s connection with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein to the FBI, shining light on how the president may be mentioned in the Epstein files held by the Justice Department.
Farmer, who worked for Epstein and recently spoke to The New York Times, first went to law enforcement in 1996 to tell them that Epstein and his longtime partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, sexually assaulted her. At the time, Farmer said, she had recently learned that her sister, then a teenager, had a disturbing interaction at Epstein’s New Mexico ranch.

James Gunn's "Superman" does a lot of things right, but arguably the best thing the movie does as the first film in the new DC Universe is create a vast world that feels lived-in. The opening text crawl opens the door for a universe where superheroes have been around for centuries (if not millennia), while the rest of the movie paints a picture of a superhero universe full of magic. Here, kaiju attacks in Metropolis are just another day for the people of the city. Pocket universes are not just theory, they are so real that they simply annoy characters when they find out a villain is using them. This is a world filled with heroes, and one where there's already a corporate superhero team.
And it seems James Gunn is building up to another team, but not the way you think.

Kevin Spacey, who walked away from a cloud of sexual assault allegations and a surprising number of dead bodies with his freedom, if not his fortune, is calling for the release of “the Epstein files,” because oh that’s right, his name also appeared in the Epstein flight logs.

Superman swoops into theaters this weekend, and with rave reviews, all signs point to the Dcu getting off to a strong start. Regardless, we don't have long to wait for Peacemaker season 2, and 2026 will see the release of Lanterns, Supergirl, and Clayface.
2027 is less certain, but with James Gunn already writing his next movie, chances are we'll see that a couple of years from now.
The Wall Street Journal has published an article revealing that, moving forward, Gunn and Peter Safran's plan is to release two live-action and one animated DC film a year.
The goal is to reestablish all of DC's best-known characters, eventually assembling them for a Justice League movie. Gunn has already hinted at the project, with Superman laying the groundwork for the team to assemble with the introduction of the Maxwell Lord funded "Justice Gang."

Essence Festival organizers have taken responsibility for a concert that ran so far behind schedule that Lauryn Hill wound up taking the stage at around 2:30 in the morning.
Delays completely derailed the opening day of the 31st annual event, which returned to the Superdome in New Orleans this past weekend. According to Nola.com, opening night Friday, July 4, featured a whopping eight acts, with Hill joining the lineup just two days before the concert. As the show got underway, it was quickly beset by scheduling issues that only got worse as the night wore on.

High Fidelity star John Cusack posted a meme on Bluesky that critics have described as being “antisemitic” and evocative of Nazi propaganda.
Cusack, a staunch critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza, shared a graphic (a screenshot of which is pictured below) linking Antony Blinken, the Jewish former U.S. secretary of state, to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Each of the photos in the graphic contains the Star of David, gesturing towards centuries-old antisemitic tropes about hidden Jewish conspiracies of influence and power.
Epstein and Maxwell are both described as Mossad agents in the graphic, an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that has gained traction in far-right circles. TruNews, the Christian media outlet, and Mark Collett, a Nazi-sympathiser based in the UK, are among those who have trumpeted this idea.

Lauryn Hill headlined the first night of the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture on Friday, July 4th, just days after being added to the lineup. When she took the stage at the Caesars Superdome nearly two hours behind schedule around 2:30 a.m., the stadium was “essentially empty,” according to Nola.com. While she is notorious for running late, this time it wasn’t entirely her fault.
As reported by Nola.com, the evening ran behind schedule from the start, with each of the seven performers before Hill pushing the timeline further back. By the midpoint of the show, Memphis rapper GloRilla had finished her set 45 minutes after the Isley Brothers were originally slated to perform.
These delays resulted in Babyface starting his performance nearly two hours late around midnight, and then Maxwell not beginning his scheduled 11:15 p.m. performance until 12:55 a.m. By the time Maxwell’s gear was...

Lauryn Hill played to a largely empty stadium Friday night as part of the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture, after taking the stage hours after scheduled.
While Hill has a bit of a reputation for late shows, this time it appeared out of her hands as Essence’s first day as a whole started late on Friday. Hill had been added to the lineup days prior — with the rest of Friday’s lineup including GloRilla, the Isley Brothers, Babyface and Maxwell. Coco Jones, who also stars on the Peacock show Bel-Air, was an unannounced performer. Singer Lucky Daye and Kandi Burruss’ girl group, Psiryn, were also early performers.

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the biggest Marvel crossovers ever, with a stacked cast featuring returning stars from across the multiverse.
Names like Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Pedro Pascal, and even Robert Downey Jr. are all set to appear. This time, Downey Jr. isn’t reprising his role as Iron Man, he’s taking on the villainous mantle of Doctor Doom.
The cast also includes familiar faces from the old X-Men films, including Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn. The massive, hours-long livestream announcing these cast members still didn’t reveal everyone, and both Kevin Feige and some insiders hinted that more surprises are still to come.

Mash actress Loretta Swit died on May 30, 2025, from natural causes at the age of 97. She was at her home in New York City at the time of her death. Swit rose to prominence with her role as Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in the war comedy-drama, Mash (stylized as M*A*S*H). She was one of the four cast members who remained throughout the eleven seasons of the show, and one of the two actors who appeared both in the pilot and the finale.
With Swit’s death, there are only a handful of members of the original Mash cast who are alive today. This includes the lead of the show from day one, Alan Alda, who played surgeon Benjamin “Hawkeye” Pierce. Alda is still active in the industry, last appearing in Tina Fey’s recent Netflix outing, The Four Seasons.

Five years have passed since Supernatural ended its 15-season-long run, and there are still so many storylines we wish could’ve been a little different. Starting off with the most obvious – Dean Winchester dying at the hands of a vampire after being impaled on a nail. Honestly, could they have given the main character of the show a more humiliating ending? Then there’s Charlie’s death, Mary’s wasted potential, and so. much. more.
However, the thing that continues to irk me, even as a die-hard member of Team Free Will, is the treatment of Eve. Let’s be honest. Eve was an ancient being who had lived long before angels and demons existed. She had so much potential of being the big bad of the season, yet she was defeated as if she were a common demon in one of the filler episodes. Say it with me: Eve deserved better!
