Reiley McClendon in Time Trap (2017)

News

Reiley McClendon

Time Trap Is a Great Mind-Bending Sci-Fi Film Worth Checking Out and Here's a Trailer
I recently had a chance to see a new indie sci-fi film called Time Trap. The movie currently has a limited theatrical release and if it’s playing at a theater near you it’s definitely worth checking out!

The movie has a fascinating, unique, and innovative concept and it was executed really well! The movie was made on a low-budget and it may be a little rough around the edges, but for the most part it’s an awesome movie that I recommend checking out.

It has a smart mind-bending story that follows a group of students who become trapped inside a mysterious cave where they discover time passes differently. The story has some fun playing with the space-time continuum.

The concept is actually pretty terrifying in certain ways. Here’s the synopsis:

A group of students venture into the deep caves of remote Texas to locate a favorite...

‘Time Trap’ Trailer: Space and Time Rip Apart at Seams in First Look at Mind-Bending New Sci-Fi Adventure — Watch
Reiley McClendon, Andrew Wilson, Cassidy Gifford, Olivia Draguicevich, Max Wright, Ben Foster, Mark Dennis, and Brianne Howey in Time Trap (2017)
You know that old chestnut: don’t go into a big, creepy cave you’re not familiar with in search of a missing person who, incidentally enough, also went into that same cave in search of a family that’s been missing for decades.

Mark Dennis and Ben Foster’s latest film, “Time Trap,” throws that (extremely solid) advice right out the proverbial window in service to an innovative new sci-fi adventure that rips apart both space and time at its very seams. Featuring a cast that includes Cassidy Gifford, Reiley McClendon, Brianne Howey, Olivia Draguicevich, Max Wright, and Andrew Wilson, “Time Trap” takes an already scary premise and bolsters it with some truly twisted riffs on time travel. Again, maybe don’t go in the weird cave.

‘Mankind’s Last Stand’ Review
Stars: Adrian Paul, Brandon Auret, Reiley McClendon, Rick Ravanello, Douglas Tait, Joe Reegan, Nic Rasenti, Andy Davoli, Matthew Holmes, Sven Ruygrok, Scott E. Miller, Kenneth Fok, Darron Meyer | Written by Jabbar Raisani, Blake Clifton | Directed by Jabbar Raisani

Jabbar Raisani, a former visual effects maestro, who here turns director – makes his feature debut with a film that mixes a myriad of stereotypes and cliches of the alien invasion genre with the modern war movie (there’s a very good reason the film is described as Independence Day meets Black Hawk Down) in a faux-documentary that sees a camera crew join an elite unit of soldiers at Outpost 37, the most hostile region of what remains of our planet, as they face one of their greatest battles against the “Heavies” alien intruders who, a decade earlier, had invaded Earth with the intention of total annihilation.

Q&A with Abandoned Mine Director Jeff Chamberlain
Abandoned Mine starts its VOD and limited theatrical release today, and we caught up with writer/director Jeff Chamberlain for our latest Q&A feature. He talks about taking on Abandoned Mine as his first feature film, creating the legend and characters from the movie, and the challenges of filming in an actual mine:

I’ve read that the story for Abandoned Mine came from Scott Woldman. How did you two get together for this project and why was this a story you wanted to direct?

Jeff Chamberlain: One day I was sitting in the office of my producing partner Mark Victor (Poltergeist). We were discussing the kind of project I was looking for to direct. He pulled a script off the shelf called The Mine by Scott Woldman. I loved the title and the concept – the way Mark described it. After reading it, I still loved the concept.

Get me the hell out of here now!!! Abandoned Mine Review
Abandoned Mine (2013)

Starring: Alexa Vega, Reiley McClendon, Saige Thompson

Writers: Jeff Chamberlain, Scott Woldman

Director: Jeff Chamberlain

Well this wasn’t my pint of beer, if ya know what I’m saying. Had Abandoned Mine came out around the time I was in love with Dawson’s Creek and Party of Five behind closed doors, it probably would’ve worked for me. Unfortunately, it just felt like a really dated Lifetime horror film with a slight Halloween essence about it. It’s not completely awful, but that’s kind of the problem. I prefer my films to be either excellent, so bad they’re good, or goddamn laughable. I aint got much time for “blah”. And that’s pretty much how I felt about Abandoned Mine. The horror is never once horrifying and the intensity is never really intense. It’s just all around mediocre, and I find mediocrity more...

Christine Conradt reveals the art of being a screenwriter
"Christine Conradt reveals the art of being a screenwriter"

by Michael Aaron Gallagher of StayFamous.Net

If you’ve ever found yourself lost in the on-screen magic of motion pictures, captivated by a dramatic action sequence, laughing out loud in a theater, or simply falling in love with a romantic line spoken by your favorite movie star, chances are you had to remind yourself that it’s all a fairytale, a world in which the actors merely play a part that has been written for them.

But where do those words come from and who imagines them?

Christine Conradt, screenwriter for the new film “Accused at Seventeen,” starring former Golden Globe nominee Cynthia Gibb, Nicole Gale Anderson (of the Disney Channel original series “Jonas”), and Reiley McClendon (“The Flyboys”), recently explained that the process of writing a screenplay for a film or television series is often a collaborative effort. Although...
