‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’: Zach Cherry & Tramell Tillman Claim Luck Leads to Correct Answer (Video)
Image
Severance stars Zach Cherry (Dylan George) and Tramell Tillman (Seth Milchick) are going for the $1 million on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on Wednesday, August 6. But, before they can conquer that, they had to answer a question about marijuana, in which they claimed they guessed. TV Insider has an exclusive clip of the costars answering a question they knew the answer to “because of luck.” Cherry and Tillman try to win money for their charities after Community stars Joel McHale and Jim Rash finish their game. Host Jimmy Kimmel reads the question: “For more than 40 years, what magazine famously featured centerfolds showing close-up images of marijuana plants?” The choices were A. High Times, B. Us Weekly, C. Good Housekeeping, or D. Popular Mechanics. “Now, if my parents are watching, I don’t know this from personal experience,” Zach Cherry joked. “But, I’m leaning towards High Times.” “Yeah, that makes sense,...

Ken Jennings and Matt Damon’s Big Win Fuels Best ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ Ratings in Five Years
Image
Matt Damon and Ken Jennings won big earlier this week on ABC’s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” — and it turns out, so did the show. “Millionaire,” hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, was up week-to-week in total viewers, to 4.46 million (up 5% from last week’s season premiere of 4.24 million).

That made it the most-watched episode of “Millionaire” in five years — since 6.52 million on June 4, 2020 (during the first season that Kimmel took over as host).

On Wednesday’s episode, Damon and Jennings won the $1 million prize in support of Damon’s charity Water.org, which is focused on universal access to clean water. They won with the question “Which of these words is used to describe one of the most beautiful auditory effects on Earth, the sound made by the leaves of trees when wind blows through them?” The correct answer, which Jennings knew, was “susurrus.”

The solid showing made “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire...

Knives Out: Celebrities Reveal Plastic Surgery Secrets — But One Procedure Still Taboo
Image
A Kylie Jenner fan begged to know the truth: “You’ve got what I’m looking for,” raved Rachel Leary on TikTok in June. “You’ve got the most perfect natural-looking boob job ever! What was it you asked for?” And, to the surprise of all, the Kylie Cosmetics founder actually replied — with her exact breast augmentation order and the name of her surgeon, Garth Fisher. Just a month before, her mom, Kris, had been equally forthcoming, crediting surgeon Steven Levine with her rejuvenated look and making him an overnight celebrity.

Kristin Cavallari has revealed the exact number of ccs she had injected for her own breast augmentation (“Everyone thinks I went a lot bigger but I’ve just pushed them up a couple times”). Ricki Lake not only announced on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live that she had a neck and lower facelift, she gave a “shout-out” to L.

Here’s Why Dan Harmon Says That ‘I’ve Become My Own Chevy Chase’
Image
As we may have mentioned once or twice in the past, working on Community wasn’t always the easiest job, thanks in large part to Caddyshack star/toilet fortune heir Chevy Chase.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member famously antagonized his co-stars, lobbing racist insults at Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover — sometimes involving the N-word — and straight-up physically fighting Joel McHale. Meaning that the only way Chase’s going to be in the Community movie is if a fan edits him in using clips from old National Lampoon movies.

Also contentious was the relationship between Chase and creator Dan Harmon, who isn't exactly known for being the chillest personality to deal with either. Famously, Harmon “publicly reprimanded Chase in front of his family and colleagues” during a wrap party, allowing frustrated crew members to collectively, cathartically shout, “Fuck you, Chevy!”

This prompted Chase to leave Harmon an expletive-filled voicemail,...

Community's Long-Gestating Movie Gets Concerning Update From Alison Brie
Image
Plans to bring the Community gang back together for a reunion movie have been on the table for years, but the project has yet to officially set a production start date. Star Alison Brie has commented on the current status of the film, but it's a disappointing update for fans.

Brie addressed the film while at San Diego Comic-Con to promote her new movie, Together, via ScreenRant. When asked about an update on Community: The Movie, Brie said there was nothing whatsoever new to report. She then shared that the project is "sort of paused," still with no concrete plans to actually start filming.

"I truly have nothing to say about the Community movie," Brie stated. "It's sort of paused, and we're all -- I know the cast is really rooting for it. We all love each other so much and would love to get back on set someday."

Alison Brie Shares ‘Community’ Movie Update & Pitch For “X-Rated” Version
Image
After six seasons and movie, two Community characters might finally seal the deal if Alison Brie has her way.

The 2x Golden Globe nominee recently revealed her hopes for her character Annie Edison in the long-awaited feature adaptation of the NBC/Yahoo series, while sharing an update on the production schedule.

“There’s no update,” she told husband and Together co-star Dave Franco in a sit-down for Entertainment Tonight. “I would say it’s paused due to a number of factors. The entire cast is still enthusiastically on board to do the movie.”

Brie added, “Something I would love to see for Annie is full sex with Jeff Winger. You know, I think an X-rated Community movie would consummate that ‘will they, won’t they.'”

During the show’s six-season run from 2009 to 2015, recent high school graduate Annie and disgraced fake lawyer Jeff (Joel McHale) carried on a flirtation...

Alison Brie Shares a Frustrating Update on the Status of Long-Delayed 'Community' Movie
Image
For fans of the NBC sitcomCommunity still holding out hope for a "six seasons and a movie," we hate to be the bearers of bad news, but it looks like the wait won't be over soon. Fans were buzzing with excitement when it was officially announced in 2022 that the movie was in the works. However, the years that followed brought little to no updates on the progress of things. Last year, however, it began to look like Greendale was finally on the verge of reopening its doors after it was revealed that a script was finished and a budget wasfirmly in place. But now? Womp womp. Star Alison Brie just confirmed another delay, and honestly, at this point, the fandom deserves group therapy, commemorative buttons, and maybe a Troy and Abed morning show to get through the heartbreak.

Brie, forever our Annie Edison, recently sat down with ScreenRant to discuss her new horror film,...

Dan Harmon Turned Chevy Chase’s Bad Behavior Into ‘Community’ Gold
Image
Joel McHale chalks up the hilarity of Community to the relentlessness of creator Dan Harmon and directors Joe and Anthony Russo. “I’m so fortunate that that was the spearhead that was fighting for this comedy,” McHale recently told Collider. “I look at comedy now, or when I do it now, I remember Joe and Anthony would always go, ‘Cut. Do it faster. Cut. Do it faster. Cut. Do it faster.’”

“There were so many good jokes,” McHale said. “There were so many jokes flying that it was great, because it taught me to throw away jokes. ‘Don’t be too married to a joke or two.’ But it taught me to say them and say them fast.”

The dark side of the “million takes” that Community’s creators demanded? It made for awfully long work days, and not everyone was thrilled about the extra time commitment. “The hours were bananas,...

Kyla Pratt To Join Fox’s ‘Animal Control’ Season 4 as Recurring Guest Star
Image
Kyla Pratt will join the cast of Fox’s “Animal Control” as a recurring guest star in the sitcom’s upcoming fourth season. Pratt will play the role of Daisy, a new member of the Seattle Animal Control squad who serves as Templeton Dudge’s (Gerry Dee) partner.

Pratt’s Daisy is set to appear in eight episodes of the upcoming season, including the season premiere, which is expected later this year on Fox.

Fox described Pratt’s “Animal Control” character as “exuberant and fearless” and “a confident single mom with a healthy appreciation for conspiracy theories,” suggesting a mix of eccentricity and wholesomeness that will likely fit right in with the show’s already-wacky character cast.

“Animal Control” stars Joel McHale as part of a group of local Animal Control workers “whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not.” The show also stars Michael Rowland,...

‘Scream 7’ Newcomer, 53, Unpacks Franchise Debut in Upcoming Horror Film: “That’s What You Dream Of” [Exclusive]
Image
Scream 7 will slash into theaters everywhere early next year on February 27, and one of the film’s stars has pulled back the curtain on working on such an iconic horror tentpole. The Scream franchise has undergone a bit of a makeover with a cast full of newcomers, one of whom is Joel McHale, who will play Sydney Prescott’s (Neve Campbell) husband, Mark. McHale also recently starred in the horror film It’s a Wonderful Knife.

Collider’s Tania Hussaincaught up with McHale recently for a lengthy profile interview, and she asked him what the most surprising thing about working in the horror genre is, be it the “energy” or even the “restraint” it requires. McHale first opened up about his experience on It’s a Wonderful Knife, saying, “That was one of those journeys where you’re like, ‘Imagine not having a child.’ It’s heavy. Really fun to make,...

15 TV Shows That Were Revived After Getting Canceled
Image
Television can be a very fickle mistress. Just when you're getting into a show, the powers that be come out of nowhere and cancel it -- it happens all the time. But while there are plenty of shows that were stricken from the air far too early (check out the most controversial TV show cancellations ever), others have gotten an unexpected reprieve. Because you see, these days a show can't really be considered beyond salvation until all of its actors are dead. Whether they're saved by a rival network, resurrected years later due to fan outcry, or a cancellation order was reversed simply because network execs took the time to reconsider, more shows than you realize have been brought back from the brink of annihilation.

Sure, sometimes these renewals were a mere stay of execution, squeezing out one more season before the show was cancelled again, this time for good.

Reno 911! Cast: Where The Actors Are Now
Image
"Reno 911!" was a satirical take on "Cops," the popular reality docuseries following real cops in the line of duty, making arrests and chasing "bad guys." Airing originally on Comedy Central from 2003 to 2009, "Reno 911!" took the bumbling cop trope to its logical conclusion, portraying the officers of the fictional Reno Sheriff's Department as incompetent stooges. The show existed within the peak of crude, offensive comedy that dominated the 2000s; it featured politically incorrect skits that dealt with race, gender, sex work, and mental illness. Though much of the depiction of mental illness did not age well, a majority of the comedy is strangely still funny. The comedy of "Reno" still elicits chuckles by today's standards due to society's evolved perception of police. After about 15 years of police brutality and misconduct cases, it feels nice to laugh at ineffective or downright problematic police work in a low-stakes way via the cast's antics.

2025 may be nearly half way through, but in the world of TV the year is still young. As such, even though you may feel like the best TV you'll see this year is already behind us as we've headed down to the severed floor for Severance Season 2, stared at our reflection once again in Charlie Brooker's Netflix series Black Mirror, brought out the billy clubs for Disney+ must-see show Daredevil: Born Again, and had our collective socks knocked off by Philip Barantini's Adolescence, we assure you a veritable streaming smorgasbord still lies ahead of us in the coming months.

Yes, we may have just finished collecting our jaw from the flaw after that Andor Season 2 finale, and yes, the second seasons of both The Last Of Us and Doctor Who may have left our heads spinning, but there's still no shortage of returning favourites, fresh franchise offerings, original programming,...

'We Start Him at His Lowest Point': Karl Urban Says Mortal Kombat 2 Gives Johnny Cage a True Redemption Arc
Image
Johnny Cage is traditionally a cocky fighter, but he'll have seen better days in Mortal Kombat II.

"We start him at a very low point. His career is completely in the dumps. He has no self-confidence. He has neglected his martial arts training," actor Karl Urban told IGN about what separates this Johnny from past iterations of the beloved Mortal Kombat character. Depicted as more of a aging, washed up movie star, the live-action sequel will show how, "at his lowest point, he gets called up to, essentially, be a warrior that represents the Earthrealm and fight for the very future of humanity. And as I read the script, I found it just such a compelling, interesting, dynamic journey. We start this character in one place, and as an audience, we get to see him evolve and grow."

Despite being absent from the first Mortal Kombat reboot, its ending directly teased Cage's arrival,...

Karl Urban's Johnny Cage Gets Violent in Bloody Red Band Trailer for Mortal Kombat 2
Image
It's time to test your might. The new red band trailer for Mortal Kombat 2 has finally been released with the sequel coming to theaters after a four-year wait.

The trailer has a heavy focus on Karl Urban's Johnny Cage, putting the fan-favorite character front and center after his absence in the previous film. Also on display are other newcomers and returning stars, who bring Johnny up to speed on the deadly "Mortal Kombat" tournament. Of course, that means that there will be plenty of fatalities, and a glimpse at some of the bloody carnage can also be seen in the trailer. Check out the new red band trailer below.

Given his popularity with fans, the absence of Johnny Cage in the 2021 film was one qualm that critics had. The sequel looks to be making up for that by putting Johnny in the spotlight. Co-star Lewis Tan, who returns...

Emmys 2025: Where’s My Show? Why Some Of Your Favorites Won’t Be Emmy-Nominated This Year
Image
Emmy nominations are coming! It’s that time of year again, where the best talent in television is (hopefully) rewarded for all that hard work and excellence. Come Tuesday, the verdict will be in as the noms for the 77th Primetime Emmys are announced. But some of television’s best and brightest will definitely not be on the docket. Read on to find out why.

Of course, not everyone gets to take home the gold, and indeed, not everyone gets as far as a nomination, but some are left out of contention for reasons that have nothing to do with audience or critical appreciation or Television Academy voter preferences.

For example, last year, due to strike-affected delays and production timing, popular shows like The Bear Season 3, both parts of Bridgerton Season 3, House of the Dragon and The Boys were not eligible for nominations.

The Television Academy’s eligibility rules state...

Billy Bush Claims He Flagged Donald Trump’s Lewd ‘Access Hollywood’ Comments to His Producer in 2005
Image
Billy Bush brought up Donald Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood tape during a new interview with Rob Lowe on the actor’s SiriusXM podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, revealing that he flagged the president’s lewd comments to a superior more than a decade before the scandal broke.

“The day of the filming in 2005, I called my producer [and] said, ‘You’re not gonna believe what Trump said. He is going after Nancy.’ All I said was ‘Nancy O’Dell’ because I didn’t hear the other stuff,” Bush told Lowe, referencing his Access Hollywood colleague O’Dell. The “other stuff” seemingly refers to Trump’s comments about grabbing women by the genitals. “I said, ‘He’s trying to take Nancy furniture shopping to sleep with her. This is crazy. One of the biggest guest stars in FX's The Bearseason 4 has revealed whether they will return in future episodes after solving a series-long mystery in the latest installment.

All 12 Stuntcast Guest Stars in Season Four of ‘The Bear,’ Ranked
Image
Warning: contains spoilers from Season 4 of The Bear.

Last year, just ahead of The Bear’s Season Three premiere, Oliver “Cicero” Platt gave an interview to Andi Ortiz at The Wrap. On the subject of “Fishes,” the Christmas flashback episode from The Bear’s second season, Platt revealed that series creator Christopher Storer had been hearing from actors who wanted to appear on the show, but that Storer’s vision was so clear, such actors’ fame or glamor were of no consequence to him: “Like, f—ing Marlon Brando could be calling him, and if Marlon wasn’t right for whatever the role, he’d find a polite way to say, ‘I’m so flattered. I’m gonna have something else for you in the future.’”

And yet, “Fishes” is memorable, in large part, for the many distractingly well-known faces who show up to play members of the extended Berzatto family.

‘The Bear’ Season 3 Recap: What To Remember Ahead Of Season 4
Image
FX has served up another season of The Bear, which takes place in the competitive world of cooking and hospitality.

Season 3 kicked off with a montage of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) going to train in New York under the intense Chef David (Joel McHale) and more in New York City with an emotional goodbye from his sister Natalie (Abby Elliott). This opening in the first episode set the tone for Carmy’s continued drive to level up The Bear into a fine dining establishment. The first episode of Season 3 also showed how Carmy, Nat, Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and more dealt with the death of Michael “Mikey” Berzatto that rocked the family and brought Carmy back to Chicago to manage The Beef in Season 1.

Of course, much more happened for the intense chef as well as the rest of the ensemble in the kitchen. Find a refresher of what happened in...

Let's dream-cast an English-language spinoff of Squid Game
Image
No one saw the popularity of Squid Game coming, but here we are. Thanks to the combination of betrayal, drama, and comedy, the high-stakes survival drama became a perfect binge for Netflix subscribers. It led to the reality show Squid Game: The Challenge, and now an English-speaking spinoff is being developed by director David Fincher (Fight Club and Se7en).

To be fair, we're still not sure if the spinoff will actually happen of it if will die before it sees the light of day. Also worth noting it that it's not a remake, but they're not looking to case English-speaking version of the characters we already met in the original. Instead, it will be a new story set elsewhere in the world, with a whole new crop of cash-strapped contestants drafted to participate in the deadly Squid Games in the hopes of walking away with the grand prize, even...

‘The Bear’ Season 3 Recap: What to Remember Before Season 4
Image
“The Bear” Season 3 was criticized at the time of its release for its inconsistent plotting and lack of forward progression.

While it is true that less happened in the season than those that preceded it, though, there are still moments and developments throughout it that are important to remember before you watch “The Bear” Season 4. Case in point: Even the season’s reflective premiere, which is comprised mostly of flashbacks to Carmy’s (Jeremy Allen White) ascent up the culinary industry, revealed to viewers that Marcus’ (Lionel Boyce) mother died on the Bear’s preview night.

With that in mind, here is everything you need to remember from “The Bear” Season 3 before you watch the FX series’ newest episodes.

Shane Gillis to Host 2025 Espys
Image
Shane Gillis will host the 2025 Espys, ESPN announced Tuesday.

The comedian will take the stage at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre to host sports’ biggest night on Wednesday, July 16. The 2025 Espys, which are presented by Capital One, will air live at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on ABC and will stream live on ESPN+.

Gillis’ appointment as host marks a switchup from recent Espys hosts, which have more recently seen beloved sports stars host the awards ceremony. Serena Williams hosted in 2024 and other hosts from recent years include Stephen Curry, Russell Wilson, Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird, Danica Patrick and Peyton Manning, among others.

The “Tires” star and writer joins a slew of non-athletes who have hosted in the Espys, including Anthony Mackie, Tracy Morgan, Joel McHale, Drake and Jom Hamm.

Match Game Returns With An Exciting New Host And It’s About Time
Image
Alec Baldwin was the perfect Match Game host.

His sly wit and comedic timing were perfect due to his deadpan approach.

However, the show must go on, and it is continuing without Baldwin following the unfortunate incident on his independent film, Rust.

(Disney/Patrick Harbron)

Match Game was shelved for years, possibly to distance the show from Baldwin, but also to clear the way for a new host.

I won’t get into the minutiae behind the decision-making here, as I often disagree with significant hosting changes like this one.

'Scream 7' Star Anna Camp Hypes Sidney Prescott Being Back in Action in Slasher Sequel
Image
Scream 7, the official return of the Scream franchise after a three-year hiatus, is set for release in February 2026. Fans remain clueless about the details of the slasher sequel, with Paramount Pictures keeping things close to the chest. During filming, the cast and crew were vocal when speaking about the horror sequel, but lately, things have been quiet on the Ghostface front. Fortunately, Anna Camp, one of the franchise's newcomers, has spilled a few details. However, Camp did not spoil anything important, and simply preferred to raise anticipation about the return of none other than Sidney Prescott herself, Neve Campbell.

In an exclusive interview with MovieWeb's George Edelman, Camp talked about her arrival in one of the most beloved horror franchises of all time. It's been a long time coming for the actor whose previous horror credentials include TV appearances in True Blood, Creepshow and You. Camp's latest work is the action comedy Bride Hard,...

6 Years Later, All Seasons of This 88% Rotten Tomatoes Cult Comedy Are Arriving on a New Streaming Platform
Image
If you are a Community fan and own a Hulu subscription, next month will be a great one for you. This week, the streaming platform announced that all seasons of the cult comedy are being added to the library, and you can start binging as early as July 3. In case you missed the series, this is the perfect chance to find out why it became such a high-rated show back when it started airing in 2009. The entire story has six seasons – and a movie that has been in the works for a decade.

One of the reasons why Community became as popular as it did is because pretty much every episode contains a ton of references to other shows and movies. It could go as big as referencing Batman movies but also use some lesser-known references to inspire an entire episode, like the one built around the 1981 cult comedy My Dinner With Andre.

“It Can Live in Any Form”: Horror Icon, 60, Explains the Scream Franchise's Longevity
Image
For those who have been worried or at least wondering if Scream will come to a screeching halt following the upcoming Scream 7, a recent statement from its creator, Kevin Williamson, leads us to believe it will go on and on — as long as the studio gives it the okay. While an eighth installment hasn’t been confirmed, Williamson shared his belief with the New York Post that the franchise has immense staying power no matter who stays or who goes, revealing,

“The thing about Scream is it can live in any form. And you can return to a character like Sidney and Gale and tell that story, and then the next one can be about someone else. I really like the idea that ‘Scream’ has evolved into a franchise that can expand in those ways.”

Cases in point can be found in the last two films, 2022’s Scream and...

‘Scream 7’s Ethan Embry Recalls Wes Craven’s Reaction To His Audition For Og Film
Image
Nearly 30 years after it slashed its way into fans’ hearts, Ethan Embry is joining the Scream franchise.

After the actor’s casting in Scream 7 was announced in February, he recalled auditioning for the original 1996 Wes Craven-helmed teen slasher film that launched the popular horror franchise.

“The one thing that I can tell about Scream 7 was that it was absolutely incredible to be invited,” he told Bloody Disgusting. “That is a lovely community of people, from the very beginning to what it is now. And I’ve been wanting to be a part of that franchise since the very beginning.”

Embry added, “I remember auditioning for Scream 1. I can’t remember if it was for [Jamie Kennedy’s Randy] or [Matthew Lillard’s Stu]. It was one of those. But I remember not getting good feedback from Mr. Craven.”

While plot and character details remain under wraps, Embry...

Guess How Many Thousands of Dollars Joel McHale Spent on His Hair Transplant
Image
It’s doubtful that Joel McHale would have had his successful leading-man career in Community and other comedy projects if he hadn’t addressed the fading hairline he was rocking in this Ihop commercial.

McHale’s handsome head of hair is one reason comedian Mark Normand is considering his own hair transplant, he said this week on the We Might Be Drunk podcast. Considering how great other transplantees like McHale, Seth MacFarlane and Jimmy Kimmel look, Normand said, it might be time for him to join Team Transplant.

McHale told Normand that it was a worthy quest; after all, he was “fully bald” before he had four procedures himself. “I did it way back when, when it was a strip, which was painful,” McHale said. “Don’t do the strip.”

These days, hair experts simply “pluck it from the whole back section,” says McHale. “And it’s a miracle.”
