The art of Casting is a highly specialized skill, a gifted talent that I developed over years of working in the business. Being in the company of so many great actors & directors & entertainers. I'm gifted with a keen intuition about the right person for a role. I believe that casting is pivotal to every project. It is an invisible art, the art that can distinguish talent from a lack of talent, appropriateness from god-awfulness. Having an eye for actors & all performers, along with the diplomacy to handle all sorts of situations & steer a filmmaker, producer or director toward the right performers, is what makes a good casting director so invaluable in today's industry. Mali Finn was my mentor & teacher I was a member of her casting team on 61* which she won the Emmy for casting.
