The Molly Maguires

It’s Labor vs. Capital, in basic terms! Sean Connery is the tough, embittered miner looking to strike back against the bosses, and Richard Harris the underdog who sees a way out by becoming an agent provocateur for the Pinkertons. An admirable true-life history lesson, Walter Bernstein & Martin Ritt’s downer of a drama didn’t grab the public’s imagination. But there’s no better vision of the time and place, thanks to James Wong Howe’s realistic, nearly monochromatic cinematography.

Game Of Thrones Fans Are Furious About Last Night’s Episode
If there’s one thing that the last season of Game of Thrones has done, besides kill almost every character, it’s divided fans. And after sticking through eight seasons of the show, it seems they have a right to be angry.

The penultimate episode of the series, which aired last night on HBO, delivered some real craziness. Unfortunately, however, it’s the twists and deaths that have longtime fans in an uproar. Perhaps the biggest objection is about Daenerys Targaryen. She’s always been the hero of Thrones, overcoming odds and appearing to be a just and fair queen. Mostly. But this season has her turning into the villain, especially after last night, when she burned the Red Keep to the ground, people and all. Hail the mad queen!

Jaime Lannister’s character development has also seemed completely wasted. He’s spent nearly the entire series trying to find redemption and then what happens?...

The pair, who play long-established characters Darren and Nancy Osborne, take a 'jog down memory lane' in the gym-themed picture - a nod to the Channel 4 show's well-toned cast members. Darren and Nancy have often featured in the pages of Inside Soap, especially throughout the recent ups and downs in their marriage. Recalling his first days at Hollyoaks, Dawson told the magazine: "It was very daunting! The set felt like such a big place and I didn't know anyone. But Jimmy McKenna [Jack] soon showed me the ropes, and I realised how fun it is here. Mind you, I'm more like the father now, and he's the son!" Asked whether life at the soap is as glamorous as fans might (more)...
