Alex McNaughton

Alex has been a member of the Director's Guild of Canada for over 25 years and became one of the first Canadian members of the Location Manager's Guild International in 2016. As a Location Scout, Alex's job is to find the perfect filming location suitable for the action within the script, the director's vision and the producer's budget. As a Location Manager his job is to ensure that the logistical requirements of the production, the bureaucratic dictates of the local government, the needs of the home/building owner and the concerns of the neighborhood are all met - within budgetary boundaries of course. Apart from a brief stint in the "real world" as a supervisor in Oshawa's General Motors car plant in the mid 2000's, Alex has been involved with the film industry since 1994. He has scouted and location managed on over 60 different TV & Film projects as well as dozens of commercials and music videos.
