- Tzenko Minkin was born on August 11, 1959 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He studied composition with Professor Alexander Rajchev. At age 12 he made his first recordings in Radio as a pianist who perform their own works. At age of15 years he was writing for percussion quartet. At age of 19 years he made his first author's concert in Sofia with chamber and symphonic works. 20-year-old began working as a freelance composer, writing film and theater music. From 1995 to 1997 he was a consultant for Arts Agency "Sofia Press". From 1998 to 2006 he worked as a music editor of "Balkanton." In 2003 he participated in the commission to finance film production in the Bulgarian National Television. He is co-founder of the Copyright Agency Musicauthor and Member of its Board (from 1992 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2012 he was Chairman of the Board of the Association). He is a member of the Board of the Union of Bulgarian composers (in the years 1993-1999, 2008-2011, 2013 General Secretary and from November 2014 Chairman). From 2011 to 2015 he was deputy Chairman of the National Fund "Culture" at the Ministry of Culture. He is author of more than 120 chamber, vocal symphonic works; choral and other works; music for over 50 films and documentaries, of which there are 15 awards from international film festivals. His works have been performed in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Greece and other countries. He was twice a member of international juries at film festivals in Budapest (Hungary) and Beijing (China). Tzenko Minkin has won awards: "Golden Lyre" festival "Sliven fires" (1979); Award for contribution to Writers Bulgarian literature (1996); Honorary diploma of the Ministry of culture for contribution to the development and popularization of Bulgarian culture (1998); "Sofia award" for music (1989) ; prize "Golden staff" of the Union of Bulgarian composers for "Holy Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom" (2005).- IMDb Mini Biography By: Georgi Djulgerov <georgidjul1943@gmail.com>
