On Thursday, Netflix revealed its full 2025 TV slate. The lineup includes the final seasons of two of its biggest shows, Stranger Things and Squid Game, and a second season of its other biggest show, Wednesday. It also includes promising-sounding limited series like Black Rabbit and The Four Seasons, returns of longtime Netflix favorites like Black Mirror and Chef’s Table, an overwhelming number of sports documentaries, and dozens more shows.

The biggest piece of news in the announcement is the startlingly soon release date for Squid Game Season 3. The second and third seasons shot back-to-back, and so the final season is slated for June 27, just six months after the release of Season 2. Netflix also revealed a handful of previously unannounced projects, including a 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina documentary that counts Spike Lee as a director, and a Long Island serial killer docuseries from director Liz Garbus.

The Emmy-nominated reality series that gained popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic has captivated audiences for five years now. Season 8’s premiere will mark the franchise’s fifth anniversary.

This Valentine’s Day, a new batch of hopeful singles from Minneapolis will test out the love experiment and discover for themselves if love is truly blind. Thirty contestants will meet potential partners in the pods and decide if they want to pursue a marriage with their love interest before ever meeting them face-to-face.

The "NCIS" franchise has said goodbye to some beloved shows in recent years. In 2023, "NCIS: Los Angeles" ended after 14 seasons and 322 episodes, which is a great run for any TV show. Unfortunately, "NCIS: Hawaii" didn't experience the same longevity, as it was sent to the chopping block after three seasons in 2024. What's more, it never got the chance to deliver an all-time great series finale as no one expected it to be canceled, so it bowed out with a frustrating cliffhanger. So, why did CBS decide to cancel the series?

As documented by Variety, CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach revealed that "NCIS: Hawaii" was canceled for a variety of reasons, with factors such as the Hollywood SAG-AFTRA strike and a desire to freshen things up among them. Here's what she had to say:

"Everything came back [from the Hollywood strikes] really strong, but ultimately we have to look at the cohesiveness of the schedule flow.

Some cancellations always hurt more than others. That was certainly the case for the broadcast TV shows in 2024. We are still salty about some of those decisions.

We know that some TV shows have to come to an end. The writing is usually on the wall for some of them. The linear ratings are down, or the show just isn’t getting great reviews. However, this year, there were some cancellations that were completely unjustified. Or we lost great shows that just didn’t have the chance to find their audiences.

We’re taking a look back at 2024 and the TV cancellations that hurt the most. We’re not just sad; we’re salty. This is for broadcast only. There are some streaming cancellations that I absolutely hate!

There are very few comedies on TV now. This year has seen a few hits on NBC, but other networks have struggled.

It was another great year for reality TV! So many new reality shows premiered in 2024, but for our list of the best reality shows of the year, we had to stick with a lot of the old reliables.

We saw new seasons of some fantastic reality shows in 2024, especially the dating and competition series. Those are some of my favorite shows. I'm much less into the Real Housewives type of reality show. After Jersey Shore, everything else hasn't lived up to the hype for me.

Enough about the shows I don't like, let's kick the list of reality shows I loved this year off with The Traitors!

Just this past month, Netflix announced that their hit reality TV dating show would be expanding into a new spin-off. The incredibly popular program Love Is Blind would be filming a new version, one called Love Is Blind: France.

Since the announcement, fans have learned a few more details about the specifics of the show. Perhaps most importantly of all, viewers of the show may be curious to learn that Love Is Blind: France isn't actually being shot in France.

On Wednesday, December 4, Netflix viewers watched as Nick Lachey spoke to a Season 3 contestant on The Ultimatum.

“I, too, was previously married, divorced,” he acknowledged.

After two seasons of Marry Or Move On and one season of Queer Love, this hit Netflix reality dating series is here to stay. Netflix is bringing “Love is Blind” to the City of Love with a French version of its hit dating show, which is set to premiere in 2025.

“Love is Blind” has already been adapted for a plethora of territories including Mexico, Japan and the U.K. France will be the 11th country to get its own version of the show, which is often hosted by a real-life celebrity couple.

In the U.S., the series is fronted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey while in the U.K. Matt and Emma Willis host the show.

The new version, which started production last month, was unveiled by Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajaria at the streamer’s international showcase on Monday.

“‘Love is Blind’ is a very unique format in the sense that it truly tries to find compatibility before chemistry,” said Bajaria. “In India, as you can imagine, we are very used to love being blind.
