New Orleans paramedics Steve (Anthony Mackie) and Dennis (Jamie Dornan) begin to encounter some awful and viscerally brutal murders, the only connection is a drug named synchronic. When Dennis daughter goes missing Steve becomes obsessed with finding her. He soon finds that synchronic is not just a psychotropic drug that has people dying in mental unexplained ways but get this… Its also a time travel drug. Yup, that’s a plot point in this movie and boy do they bury the lead on that score… The important question being, which rules do we follow? T2 or Back to the Future??]

Something strange is happening in New Orleans — even by Big Easy standards, it’s some bizarro shit. Young folks have been discovered all over the city in highly unusual situations, from being bitten by rare, non-regional snakes to dismembered at the bottom of elevator shafts. Odd bits of detritus (an ancient sword, a centuries-old doorknob, a half-melted Spanish coin) are found at the scenes. “I heard French and the wind,” says one semi-coherent witness to a deadly, er, sabre-stabbing. “Time is a lie” is found scrawled on the wall of a crime scene.

Performances have begun for Center Theatre Group's production of Archduke. Written by Rajiv Joseph, the world premiere of Archduke began previews April 25 and will continue through June 4, 2017, at the Mark Taper Forum. Opening night is set for May 7.
