Jay has collaborated with talented directors, Ridley Scott, Alan Pakula, David Saperstien, Alan Alda etc. He hails from Towanda PA. where he began his love for the theatre, building sets for small performances at the nearby Lake Wesauking Lodge during summers at his family's lake cottage. Studying Theatre at Syracuse University, Jay Moores Broadway career credits began while working with Boris Aronson, on Hal Prince productions, 'Fiddler on the Roof', 'Cabaret', 'Follies', 'A Little Night Music' and 'Pacific Overtures'. "What I liked about Hals shows, was that the method of getting from scene A to scene B was as important as the scenes themselves" J.J. Moore explained. In 1971 he easily transitioned from stage to film working as an assistant art director on 'Klute' and "The Persuit of Happiness" both starting his career in cinema.
