Fort Lauderdale, Fl (Cns) -- Saving Face, a documentary about a South Florida teen who was charged with 2nd degree murder, had its World Premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival on Saturday, October 18th. The film tells the story of Matt Kearn who, at 15, was involved in an attempted robbery that led to a murder of an 18-year-old young man, Antonio Morales. Kearn provided the gun and was at the scene, but did not shoot the victim. He was sentenced to 60 years in prison. The film follows the Kearn's experiences in prison, his family's heartbreak and humiliation, and Kearn's surprising spiritual journey that allowed him to find God and love for the first time.
