Cris Morena

Trivia

Cris Morena

Edit
  • Gave birth to two children in the marriage with Gustavo Yankelevich: a daughter Romina Yan (September 5, 1974-September 28, 2010; died from a heart attack at age 36) and a son Tomás Yankelevich (b.1977).
  • Grandmother of Franco Giordano, Valentín Giordano, Azul Giordano and Inti Yankelevich.
  • Is a composer; the soundtracks of her series such as Chiquititas (1995) and Rebelde Way (2002) are all from her authorship.
  • Disliked the changes made from Floricienta (2004) to its Mexican remake, Lola: Érase una vez (2007). She reportedly told the producers "not to fool" themselves, as Floricienta "is no rock star".
  • Is an avid fan of Broadway musicals and the whole musical genre. Borrowed elements from The Sound of Music (1965), Mary Poppins (1964) and Annie (1982) for her most successful production Chiquititas (1995), which also featured choreography influenced by Fred Astaire.
