Daniel Radcliffe Invents Grand Theft Auto in 'Gamechangers' Trailer
Daniel Radcliffe
Just five months after we reported Daniel Radcliffe was circling the Grand Theft Auto legal drama The Gamechangers, the first trailer has surfaced on YouTube channel NewTrailersBuzz. The TV movie is slated to debut September 15 on the UK network BBC 2, but it isn't clear when it may debut in the U.S. This project will give fans of the beloved Grand Theft Auto video game series new insight into the legal trouble that Rockstar Games founder, Sam Houser (Daniel Radcliffe) found himself in.

The story is set in 2002, centering on Houser's legal battles with a Florida lawyer named Jack Thompson (Bill Paxton), who embarked on a crusade against the violence and profanity found in the video game series. The attorney had already made headlines before, attacking media companies for glorifying rap music and putting violent content on television. He was eventually disbarred in 2008 for inappropriate behavior.

David Jones and Sam Dailly created Grand Theft Auto,...

Path, Hipster apologise for data leak
The Gamechangers
Path and Hipster have issued apologies following reports that their iPhone apps leaked sensitive user data. Both firms' applications uploaded users' address-book information to company servers without permission to help them locate friends running the same software. Path is a social media application billed as a "smart journal that helps you share life with the ones you love". Chief executive David Morin has now acknowledged that the firm "made a mistake" with its implementation of the 'Add Friends' feature. "Through the feedback we've received from all of you, we now understand that the way we had designed our 'Add Friends' feature was wrong," he said in a blog post. Morin added that all data was encrypted before it was sent to the company servers, but assured customers that it has since been deleted. (more)...

The Notable Films of 2010: Part Ten
St. Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold

Opens: 2010

Cast: Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, David Tennant, Gemma Arterton, Talulah Riley

Director: Oliver Parker, Barnaby Thompson

Summary: A rollercoaster-style treasure hunt for the legendary Fritton’s Gold ensues as the feisty and ever-resourceful schoolgirls of St Trinian’s face their most fearsome establishment rivals yet - the villainous Pomfrey and his sidekicks from the women-hating secret society known as AD1.

Analysis: While it didn't travel much beyond the UK, 2007's reboot of the "St Trinian's" franchise nearly doubled its £7 million production budget in sales in the UK alone - making it one of the top grossing independent British films of the past decade. Reviews were decidedly mixed but generally pretty weak at the time, so the greenlighting of a sequel surprised quite a few.

Despite a critical drubbing, the core audience of young British teenage girls seemed to be satisfied by...
