Big news has been revealed for Season 13 of Chicago P.D. following the recent exit of a major star. Last month, it was revealed that Toya Turner would not be returning as Kiana Cook in Season 13. Now, a replacement actress has been found.
Per Deadline, Arienne Mandi (The Night Agent) has just been cast as a series regular in Chicago P.D. Season 13, filling in the void left by Turner's departure. Mandi is playing the role of Naomi Kerr, described as a "former soldier and military contractor who is said to thrive in dangerous situations," as well as a "fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest." However, it was also reported that this is tentative, as the character's name and other details could change.

As Chicago Pd gears up to begin production on its new season next month, it seems Wolf Entertainment and NBC wanted to make sure one key member of the cast was locked in for the new season well in advance!
Deadline has confirmed that Jason Beghe will be back for season 13, guaranteeing Hank Voight will not be going anywhere. Beghe is still under a multi-year deal, with it seeming that NBC simply opted to pick up his option for the 2025-26 season.
While we know that Beghe will be back for season 13, the status of the rest of the Chicago Pd cast remains unclear. The hope is that the full ensemble will return for the show’s forthcoming season, this includes Marina Squerciati (Kim Burgess), Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek), Laroyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater), Benjamin Levy Aguilar (Dante Torres), Toya Turner (Kiana Cook), and Amy Morton (Trudy Platt), all of whom are hoped to return.

Chicago P.D.star Marina Squerciati discusses the tragic fate of another series' fan-favorite.
Speaking to Deadline, Squerciati was asked about the future of Jack Coleman's Disco Bob Burzek, father to Patrick John Flueger's Officer Adam Ruzek, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's on the hit procedural series. "I love Jack. We went out to dinner recently. As an actor, you’re always like, 'Can I be in the show still? What’s going on?'... I actually don't know to what extent [Jack will be in next season]." Squerciati added, "He's such an amazing actor, and I think some of the best scenes this year have been between Patty and Jack, with Adam helping him through his Alzheimer's. So I wouldn’t want to lose that, but I’m also not the showrunner."

The 2025 One Chicago crossover introduced viewers to never-before-seen duos across the three shows. It gave rise to some interesting interactions, including potential romances. Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon) is known for speaking her mind; when she fancies someone, she will pursue that person. The crossover had her and John Frost (Darren Barnet) working together, and some chemistry was established. Chicago Fire's Hudon thinks a cross-show romance akin to Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Trudy (Amy Morton)'s would be great for Lizzie. "She shows up on [Chicago] Med and flirts with John Frost, so I feel like that’s also a relationship for them to explore as well, Darren on Med," the actress said when asked if Lizzie's future includes Severide's (Taylor Kinney) brother, Damon (Michael Bradway). She added:
"I don’t know what way they’re going to go with love and trust for her, because I think her and Frost get along really well.

The Chicago P.D. Season 12 finale finds the Intelligence Unit in a precarious position, akin to lying on their backs after the rug has been pulled from under them. Reid (Shawn Hatosy) did a number on the members by stripping them of their powers and opening them up to legal consequences. "Forced to cease operations while under investigation by Internal Affairs, Intelligence goes off-book to bring down Reid. Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) consider delaying their nuptials amid the uncertainty," the logline for Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 22, "Vows," teases. However, Intelligence is not like other units; it's more about the people than the powers they have as police officers. And one thing they won't do is go down without a fight. Images from the finale tease their desire to fight back as they regroup amid an uncertain future.

It's coming down to the wire. One Chicago is a pillar of NBC's scripted drama lineup. It occupies the prime time slots on Wednesdays, and has continued to perform in the ratings. There's still no word on whether the franchise will be returning for the 2025-26 season, but we do have a determination date in sight.
It's unusual for Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd to not already have secured renewals this close to their respective finales. All three shows end on May 21, and yet, we have no clue whether the network plans to bring them back or close the book on them. The good news is that we will find out, one way or the other, by May 12.

Look, we love crossover episodes. It's a blast to see characters we wouldn't usually see in the same building interact, and work together to solve a case. But sometimes these crossovers spell out bad news for the fates of other characters. We suspect something like this might be going on with the upcoming Chicago Fire and Chicago Med crossover.
Jocelyn Hudon, the actress who plays Lizzie Novak, confirmed that her character will be appearing in the season 10 finale of Chicago Med. She didn't explain why, or what she will be doing in the finale, but her mere involvement, as a medic, has us worried about the fate of some of her Firehouse 51 peers. We know that Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) are going to be written out of Chicago Fire before the start of next season, and we could be looking at a situation that results in one of their deaths.

“We Don’t Agree”: ‘Chicago P.D.’ Star Teases Cook’s Intelligence Conflict in Her First First Ci Case
One element that sets NBC procedural Chicago P.D. apart from its One Chicago counterparts is its more character-centric approach, where each episode focuses more on an individual character of the Intelligence Unit. Early in Season 12, the show introduced a new character, Patrol Officer Kiana Cook (Toya Turner), who was soon promoted to the undermanned Intelligence Unit. While the show has gradually developed her character, some viewers have found the pace a bit too slow, eager to see more of Cook’s backstory and personal journey explored in depth. Thankfully, the next episode, "Name Image Likeness," puts Cook in the forefront as she works her first case involving a confidential informant, and actress Toya Turner, who plays the character, has previewed a bit of what to expect from episode 19.

Eamonn Walker has really make a ruckus when it comes to his impending Chicago Fire return. The actor already had eyes on him, due to the fact that he hasn't appeared on the show in a year, but his recent Deadline interview has drummed up lots of excitement (and concern) about the episode "Post Mortem."
We knew Walker's character, Wallace Boden, would be all business coming back to Firehouse 51, and would be forced to contend with a dire situation, but the actor made it clear that the stakes are higher than we initially thought. Especially when it comes to the future of Chief Pascal (Dermot Mulroney).

Pascal has taken over Boden's role at 51, but he may cross the line in "Post Mortem.

Chicago Pd is the least sentimental of the One Chicago shows. It's grim, often straightforward, and prefers not to linger on the emotional turmoil of its characters as much as Chicago Med or Fire. It's a strength, generally, but it also means the moments that could be big and romantic are downplayed in favor of smaller, more intimate showcases.
Weddings are not a common occurrence on Chicago Pd. In fact, the only time we a Pd character get married in a big ceremony, it was Platt (Amy Morton), and it was during an episode of Chicago Fire. It's why there's so much riding on the upcoming ceremony between Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger).

Exclusive: In a very interesting move, Deadline hears that producers of the currently previewing Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk, Bill Burr and Michael McKean are planning to stage the play with an all-female cast once the current gang’s limited engagement ends on June 14.
Directed by Patrick Marber, the Culkin-led cast of Glengarry has already been extended twice since beginning previews March 10. Opening night, at the Palace Theatre, is March 31.
A production spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline: “Over the years there has been interest expressed to both playwright David Mamet and producer Jeffrey Richards about an all-female cast of Glengarry Glen Ross. In fact, there was a reading in 2022 with a female company. At this time, the focus is on the production currently on Broadway starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk, Bill Burr, Michael McKean, Donald Webber, Jr., Howard W. Overshown,...

One Chicago went big in 2025. It had six years since the franchise brought all three of its titles together for a singular narrative event, but "In the Trenches" proved to be worth the wait. It was a delight to see the characters interact, and to save lives on a citywide scale that, frankly, they don't usually need to.
Because there are three episodes, and three shows, with their specific narrative requirements, we decided to break down "In the Trenches" and determine which part of the story worked best, and which fell short a bit. We like them all, but here's always going to be one hour chunk in a crossover that plays better than others. Here we go, from worst to best.

It doesn't come more lovable than Mouch (Christian Stolte) on Chicago Fire. He's one of the most consistent members of Firehouse 51, and his steady presence has helped to save countless lives over the last 13 seasons. 2025 has been a particularly rough period for the firefighter, though, and the latest batch of episodes has proved it.
Let's start with the One Chicago crossover. Mouch got into a spat with his wife, Chicago Pd standout Trudy Platt (Amy Morton), only to discover her gunned down during a chase. The character rushed to her side in the hospital, and was forced to stand by as she flatlined and came back multiple times. It's a devastating crossover to watch from his perspective, and one we thought would serve as an outlier for the Mouch stories to come.

Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) are slowly making their way to their wedding day. It hasn't been the easiest stretch for either character, especially Ruzek, but we cannot wait to see them set aside the demands of their day-to-day jobs and have a full on wedding celebration.
Weddings are pretty commonplace on Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, but Pd has never been one to go all out. This will be a first, and as such, we think it's important that a few characters from 51 get an invite. The most obvious Chicago Fire character who should be present for the Burzek wedding is one Mouch (Christian Stolte). The character is married to Trudy Platt (Amy Morton), who absolutely will be present, so that's a no-brainer.

It's cliched to refer to a landmark or location as a character in a show, but Molly's Pub comes close. The bar has appeared in all four One Chicago shows, and been the setting of some of the most loved and revisited moments in Chicago Fire history.
Which is why the announcement made by Herrmann (David Eigenberg) during the episode "Born of Fire" was so noteworthy. The character informed his 51 co-workers that he intends to expand Molly's into a franchise, and likens it to the real life restaurant chain Ditka's.
There are a lot of dangling plot threads to address post-"Born of Fire," but the title of the follow up episode, leads us to believe that the Molly's Pub expansion will be getting more screen time. The episode is titled "Bar Time." Granted, Chicago Fire likes to sometimes sneak double meanings into titles, but "Bar Time" seems to be...

The One Chicago shows love their crossovers but which ones are the best and worst?
One Chicago has always been a fantastic universe to enjoy. Chicago Fire, Chicago Pd and Chicago Med are genius at how they make it so natural to coexist. Characters from one show can pop into another without looking obtrusive and distracting. There's also the great relationships across the shows from the Halstead brothers to Mouch and Trudy's marriage.
Crossovers between the shows are thus commonplace with NBC often doing special events across all three series. Some are better than others, with the best linking the shows together with a good storyline and character work. The weaker ones don't really offer a reason they need to be linked together when one episode could have done it.
For this list, these are full crossovers, not just characters from one show appearing in another. We're also only counting full One Chicago ones,...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 12.Chicago Fire's most recent episode, “Relief Cut,” sees the crew at Firehouse 51 back to routine after the events of the wildly successful One Chicago crossover event "In the Trenches," with the only reference coming courtesy of Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), who updates the team (and concerned viewers) that Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Trudy (Amy Morton) are doing alright after the heightened emotions of Trudy's near death. As is usually the case, the brief moment of calm that opens the episode is quickly upended by an emergency call. That call puts Herrmann on the path to an epic mic-drop moment that stands as one of his best.

There are some One Chicago characters that are overlooked more than others. We’re taking a look at the six that deserve a little more love from the writers, across Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago Pd.
Let’s face it, Chicago Fire can sometimes become the Stellaride show. There has been a push to offer Violet and Ritter more storylines, but there is always a lot of focus on the two lieutenants in the firehouse. That’s not to say we’re complaining—we love them! However, there are others at Firehouse 51 who deserve more love and attention.
Likewise, there are doctors and officers at Med and in Intelligence who need to get a little more airtime.

Chicago P.D. Season 12 has been packed with action.
That action includes the big crossover event from January 29.
This was the first crossover event since 2019, and the fans loved it.
Unfortunately, the crossover nearly killed Trudy Platt (Amy Morton).
Trudy was shot multiple times during that critical episode, and she flatlined on the table at Chicago Med.
Luckily, Trudy survived the night, but she also had a long recovery in front of her. This means she could miss episodes for a while.
Is Chicago P.D. new tonight?
The Chicago P.D. episode airing tonight is an older one (repeat), which is bad news for NBC viewers tuning in on Wednesday, February 12.
Understandably, Chicago P.D. fans will be disappointed after a streak of great episodes.
During the latest episode, Officer Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) led the team as they investigated the death of a teen who had been in a juvenile detention center.

Chicago Fire has a lot of storylines going at once. There are big things happening for Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), the same way things are happening for our favorite crossover couple, Mouch (Christian Stolte) and and Platt (Amy Morton).
While all these characters are looking to the future, however, Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) will be forced to deal with a foe from her past. The logline for Chicago Fire's next episode, "Born of Fire," confirms that the character will be getting a visit from someone she has a very checkered past with. And we think we know who it is...

"Violet’s former nemesis returns, pleading for her help," the official synopsis reads. Here's the thing.

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for the One Chicago crossover event "In the Trenches."The recent One Chicago crossover, "In the Trenches," is a winner, easily leading the TV ratings for the week. Thrilling from beginning to end, our heroes from Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. all get drawn into the utter chaos that begins with a series of underground gas explosions around Chicago's City Employee Benefits Department building. The cause of the explosion is a mystery that has everyone on edge, acting atypical — or, in Hank Voight's (Jason Beghe) case, pretty much on brand — and driven with a palpable urgency. But what the serious f**k, NBC? Why would you toy with our emotions by killing off Sergeant Trudy (Amy Morton), the strongest and arguably the most fascinating character in the One Chicago franchise? To quote one Taylor Swift, "Why you gotta be so mean?...
