How Knuckles' Story Is Different From The Previous Sonic Movies Detailed By Co-Creator
Image
Knuckles co-creator Toby Ascher explains how the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff will be different from previous movies. Despite sharing the buddy-comedy setup of the original movie, Ascher teases that the show will have "two wildcards" with the titular echidna and Adam Pally's Wade. By having no typical straight man for the buddy formula, the co-creator promises that Knuckles is "the most laugh-out-loud, funniest version of this franchise."

While the setup looks to borrow the buddy-comedy formula from the franchise starters, Knuckles co-creator Toby Ascher explains how the show’s story is different from that of the previous Sonic movies. A spinoff of the popular Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise, the upcoming Paramount+ miniseries follows the titular hot-headed red echidna in his attempts to train Wade Whipple, a silly deputy sheriff, in the ways of the echidna warrior. The series is comprised of six episodes, which will all arrive on Paramount+ on April 26.

Iverson’s wife Ashley is currently pregnant with their second child. The couple also has a 2-year-old daughter, Evie.

"Twin Peaks," Episode 12 Recap: Next Stop, Wendy's
Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. It's great to be in the know. To have a moment (hopefully more than one) when the veil drops and, per that old song, the mysteries of love (of life) come clear. Part 12 of Mark Frost and David Lynch's revived Twin Peaks opens with just such a scene, as FBI Agent Tammy Preston (Chrysta Bell) is initiated into the Blue Rose Task Force by her superiors Albert Rosenfield (Miguel Ferrer) and Gordon Cole (Lynch). The references Albert drops—to things like "Project Blue Book" and to people like "Chet Desmond"—will be familiar to any Peaks obsessive who has pored over the original series, the Fire Walk with Me movie, or Frost's 2016 tie-in novel The Secret History of Twin Peaks. But remember that...

"Twin Peaks," Episode 9 Recap: Whatever This Is
Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. There's a brief, very beautiful moment in Part 7 of the new Twin Peaks, during the scene in which hotelier Benjamin Horne (Richard Beymer) and his secretary Beverly Paige (Ashley Judd) are investigating a strange sound emanating from the walls of the Great Northern. Ben points in the direction that he thinks the soft, soothing tone is coming from, and for a second he seems to be pointing right at the camera—past it, really…toward our world, at those of us on the other side of the fiction/fact divide. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it breach, but it lays some subtle groundwork for what follows: The aesthetically and thematically provocative Part 8 fitted the Twin Peaks mythos into our very real history of atomic destruction. And this week's...

"Twin Peaks," Episode 7 Recap: …And That's Enough Said About That
Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. So that's how David Lynch does an info dump. First, with a cheeky, knowing scene featuring the brothers Horne: "Jerry, what's going on?" asks Ben (Richard Beymer) after his cannabis-infused sibling (David Patrick Kelly) phones him from the woods. "I think I'm high!…I don't know where I am!" Jerry screams, perhaps speaking for a good subsection of the Twin Peaks revival audience, who have, over the six prior installments, been given only glimpses of a larger picture. Narrative momentum comes in asides; the more prevalent longueurs are reserved for atmosphere and mood, for full immersion in apparent stasis.Part 7 shakes things up, following the brotherly freak-out with several story reveals that come in quick succession. But there's a niggling sense throughout all the...

"Twin Peaks," Episode 5 Recap: I Love How You Love Me
Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. The key image in Part 5 of the revived Twin Peaks is of a woman in ecstasy. Recall, however, the subtitle that series co-creator/director David Lynch appended to his thorny 2006 masterpiece Inland Empire: "A Woman in Trouble." The line separating rapture and anguish is a blurry one, especially for Lynch's ladies, who are as likely to end up exquisitely chiseled corpses (the ubiquitous Laura Palmer; Part 2's doomed henchwoman Darya) as they are world-weary survivors. For the moment, let's focus on Rebecca "Becky" Burnett (Amanda Seyfried), daughter of Rr Diner waitress Shelly Johnson (Mädchen Amick), though Becky's last name—taken from ne'er-do-well husband Steven Burnett (Caleb Landry Jones)—obscures the identity of her father. (Dana Ashbrook's now-law-abiding Bobby Briggs is the most likely candidate,...

Hear Dale Cooper’s Return in 20-Minute Audio Excerpt from Mark Frost’s ‘The Secret History of Twin Peaks’
Twin Peaks‘ resurrection was announced more than two years ago, and David Lynch began rolling cameras with his huge, insane collection of actors more than a year ago, but co-creator and co-writer Mark Frost has given us the long-dead franchise’s first fresh heartbeat with The Secret History of Twin Peaks, an epistolary novel with a hook that fans can’t resist: in 2016, a mysterious lockbox containing an equally mysterious dossier that, per a letter written by Gordon Cole himself, “appears to have some relationship” to the original series’ events. What follows is hard to put into a concise form, except to say it’s ultimately what the title might suggest — and, as much as anything else, a big, fat teaser for the next chapter.

The Secret History of Twin Peaks is best experienced in book form. It’s a beautifully designed hardcover that takes many steps to present itself...

Big Names On "Twin Peaks" Cast List Of 217
The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.

The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.

in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern,...

West Brom 3-2 Crystal Palace – 6 Things We Learned
Tim Goode/Pa Wire

On Saturday February 27th, Alan Pardew took his horribly out-of-sorts Palace side north to the Hawthorns to face former Palace manager Tony Pulis’ West Brom in front of Sky’s cameras for the evening kick-off.

Palace would be hoping to capitalise on their shock 1-0 Fa Cup win over Spurs the previous Sunday and cement a turn-around in their fortunes. Before this game they had gone nine games without a win in the league and were yet to score two goals in a game (in the league) in 2016.

West Brom’s form has been up and down all season and this was punctuated by their previous two results. An impressive 1-0 win away at Everton in the league was followed by a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Championship side Reading in the Fa Cup that culminated in one of their own fans throwing a...

Jeremy Clarksons around the world: What Top Gear looks like in Australia, South Korea and beyond
Despite winding people up wherever they roam, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond actually made the biggest show in the world, with Top Gear apparently boasting 350 million viewers in 214 countries.

Top Gear may have a very British sense of humour, but this hasn't stopped several nations launching their own versions.

China

Top Gear is truly taking over the world, as it has now landed its own Chinese version on Shanghai Dragon Television, after an initial attempt back in 2011.

There is of course a Chinese Stig and the usual features, with BBC Worldwide stating that it "mirrors the UK show's irreverent humour, presenter camaraderie, epic races, outrageous stunts and challenges, unique celebrity guest participation, and its often eccentric methods of testing cars".

It is hosted by veteran TV host Cheng Lei, Taiwanese singer Richie Jen and former Olympic diving gold medallist Tian Liang. What a team! They certainly look a...

West Brom 0-3 Manchester City – Sterling Makes Debut But Toure Brace Earns City Dominant Win
Nigel French/Empics Sport

All eyes were on Raheem Sterling as Manchester City travelled to the Hawthorns but it was the familiar talent of Yaya Toure that inspired the away side to a dominate victory.

The Ivorian’s shot after just nine minutes got Manuel Pellegrini’s side off to a roaring start as it glanced off David Silva and trundled past Boaz Myhill.

Fifteen minutes later and the 32-year-old had grabbed his second, nonchalantly curling a shot into the top corner to extend City’s lead.

Skipper, Vincent Kompany put the game out of the Baggies reach and headed in from a corner as City delivered an early statement of Premier League title intent.

Debutant Raheem Sterling missed the chance to score on his debut after breaking clear on goal only to see his shot saved by Myhill.

West Brom’s only real chance fell to James Morrison who...

Oscar-Nominated Film Series: First 'Pirates of the Caribbean' One of Most Enjoyable Summer Blockbusters of Early 21st Century
'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl': Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow. 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' review: Mostly an enjoyable romp (Oscar Movie Series) Pirate movies were a Hollywood staple for about three decades, from the mid-'20s (The Sea Hawk, The Black Pirate) to the mid-to-late '50s (Moonfleet, The Buccaneer), when the genre, by then mostly relegated to B films, began to die down. Sporadic resurrections in the '80s and '90s turned out to be critical and commercial bombs (Pirates, Cutthroat Island), something that didn't bode well for the Walt Disney Company's $140 million-budgeted film "adaptation" of one of their theme-park rides. But Neptune's mood has apparently improved with the arrival of the new century. He smiled – grinned would be a more appropriate word – on the Gore Verbinski-directed Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,...

Ed Sheeran Recounts His Struggle to Succeed in Glamour June 2015
There’s nothing conventional about his look, sound or approach, and yet Ed Sheeran is one of the most prolific pop stars in recent memory.

The “Don’t” crooner told Glamour magazine’s June 2015 issue that things weren’t easy early on-

“It was hard, but throwing in the towel never made any sense to me. Simply, I didn’t have a plan B. My dad gave me an article on [British singer] James Morrison that said he played 200 shows a year and eventually got signed. So I set out to play more than 300. When I started, I wasn’t that good, but I knew if I just kept playing, I’d get better.”

And along the way he ended up becoming besties with Taylor Swift- “The first time Taylor and I really connected was just hanging out at her place. We grabbed our guitars and started writing songs, including ‘Everything Has Changed.

Nufc Are Finally On Top Of The Table

It’s not all doom and gloom at Newcastle United right now. They may be stuck down in 15th in the Premier League and fighting for their top-flight future, but they are at the very summit of another table – unfortunately it just so happens to be the injury table.

This is a sight that Newcastle fans have seen all too often in recent years, and their injury room currently contains 10 players – two more than second-placed Queens Park Rangers.

Papiss Cisse (knee), Adam Armstrong (thigh), Siem de Jong (thigh) and Paul Dummett (hamstring) have all joined the list this week, rocketing the Magpies right to the top.

And while we’re still sad to have lost him, the late King of Pop’s legacy will continue to live on forever through his music.

On the fifth anniversary of Jackson’s death, we celebrate his life with five amazing cover versions of his hits, proving that his influence is still strongly felt anywhere music is played.

1. “Bad” by Glee’s New Directions & Warblers- The title track from Jackson’s 1987 album served to distance him from his squeaky-clean image. And on the hit show “Glee,” the rivalry between the New Directions and the Warblers comes to a head with a parking garage cover reminiscent of the original music video. Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Naya Rivera and Grant Gustin all take stellar solos as well.

Newcastle Plotting Move For West Brom Striker Saido Berahino
Mike Egerton/Empics Sport

Newcastle are rumoured to be lining up a summer swoop for West Brom’s Saido Berahino as we continue the search for striking reinforcements ahead of next season.

It was confirmed earlier this week that we wouldn’t be retaining Loic Remy or Luuk De Jong once their loan deals at St James’ Park expire, while we know that Shola Ameobi will be released, and reports in the Daily Mail indicate that Berahino, an England under-21 international, is a target for Alan Pardew.

The 20-year-old faces an uncertain future at the Hawthorns following a dressing room scuffle with team-mate James Morrison following a 3-3 draw against Cardiff towards the end of the season and that could work to our advantage.

Preliminary contact has been made over a possible switch to Tyneside for Berhanio, although it’s likely we’ll be forced to wait until the Baggies...

Those Who Kill: A&E TV Show Returning; Not Cancelled But...
Ratings-challenged Those Who Kill is coming back to television -- but it's not returning to A&E. While the show hasn't been cancelled, the move isn't exactly a sign of confidence from the cable channel.

The show revolves around a homicide detective (Chloe Sevigny) and an academic forensic psychologist (James D’Arcy) who work to solve crimes in Pittsburgh. Others in the cast include James Morrison, Omid Abtahi, Kerry O’Malley, Bruce Davison, Kathy Baker, Michael Rispoli, and Anne Dudek.

A&Amp;E pulled Those Who Kill from the schedule after two episodes had aired to low ratings. The premiere attracted 3.07 million but the second installment plunged to just 830,000.

On the show's Facebook page, it was quietly announced that the Chloe Sevigny series will return this Sunday on Lmn TV (Lifetime Movie Network). Lmn is a sister network to A&Amp;E.

Those Who Kill: A&E Drama Pulled; Cancelled?
A&E has dropped Chloe Sevigny's drama Those Who Kill from their schedule after two episodes.

Those Who Kill revolves around homicide detective Catherine Jensen (Sevigny) and academic forensic psychologist Thomas Schaeffer (James D'Arcy) who work to solve crimes in Pittsburgh. Others in the cast include James Morrison, Omid Abtahi, Kerry O'Malley, Bruce Davison, Kathy Baker, Michael Rispoli, and Anne Dudek.

The new detective series debuted to 1.4 million viewers. That was less than half of its lead-in, Bates Motel, whose second season premiere drew 3.07 million. Then, in week two, just 830,000 tuned in to watch Kill.

Now that Those Who Kill has been pulled, the cable channel will shift Bates Motel to the 10pm timeslot. A rerun will air at 9pm.

Though the ratings for Kill have been very poor, A&Amp;E hasn't cancelled it. Though things...

'Those Who Kill': Chloe Sevigny and James D'Arcy track down '21st century monsters'
Sitting in a posh hotel suite in Pasadena, Calif., James D'Arcy, British star of the A&E Network serial-killer drama "Those Who Kill," premiering Monday, March 3, recalls taking the first-time plunge into an open-ended TV series.

"The nature of television is you have a vague idea of where you're going, but that can change," he tells Zap2it. "It's the first time I've done something where I don't know what the end was when I accepted the role. It's the first time I've done anything where I didn't read all the scripts."

"That's always challenging for me as well," says his co-star, Chloe Sevigny, who's done film, stage and TV series ("Big Love," "Hit & Miss," "American Horror Story: Asylum"). "You don't have any control."

Luckily, both are doing a show with a TV veteran at the helm. Glen Morgan ("Wiseguy," "The X-Files," "Millennium," "Bionic Woman") adapted it from the Danish...

'Those Who Kill' review: Chloe Sevigny shines in bizarre crime drama
You might think A&E's new cop drama "Those Who Kill" is another in a long line of crime procedurals. You would absolutely be wrong, though. While it might give off that vibe early on, it is clear that what the show is really about two very different people trying to find some sort of middle ground in an effort in order to solve some pretty horrific murders ... and that's before delving into their personal histories.

Chloe Sevigny's Catherine Jensen is a homicide detective who is willing to break the rules if that's what it takes to solve the mystery. She lets herself get too close and has a borderline obsessive and unhealthy relationship with her cases.

Luckily, she brings a forensic psychologist on board who has that same sort of obsession, though in a different way. Thomas Shaeffer (James D'Arcy) puts himself in the mind of the killer,...

Dancing on Ice All-Stars: Sam Attwater eliminated in semi-final
Sam Attwater has become the latest celebrity to leave Dancing on Ice All-Stars.

The former EastEnders actor follows in the footsteps of Kyran Bracken, who exited the ITV competition at the end of last Sunday's (February 23) live show.

Attwater and his partner Vicky Ogden left the competition after a shock result saw favourites Ray Quinn and Maria Filippov in the skate-off.

The two couples found themselves in the bottom two after the judges' scores and public votes were combined.

Attwater performed an upbeat routine to Flo Rida's 'Club Can't Handle Me', while Quinn performed to James Morrison's 'You Make It Real' to keep his place in the competition.

Judges Karen Barber, Ashley Roberts, Jason Gardiner and Robin Cousins unanimously voted to keep Quinn in the competition.

"Listen, I've done five skate-offs so it's my time to go. I feel like the winner and I have something more than a trophy,...

Crystal Palace 3-1 West Brom: Debut Delight In Relegation Battle
Sean Dempsey/Pa Wire/Press Association Images

It was the Premier League debutants that made the difference this afternoon in a crucial game between two relegation candidates, as three of the four goals were scored by new players.

Tom Ince opened the scoring after 15 minutes in his first start in Palace colours before fellow deadline day signing Joe Ledley headed home his own debut goal. In the second half it took just 40 seconds for West Brom debutant Thievy Bifouma to find the net but the comeback was halted by Marouane Chamakh’s penalty.

Victor Anichebe had the first chance of the match when a long ball sent him through on goal but he could only hit a tame shot straight at Julian Speroni.

After a quarter of an hour the Eagles took the lead. Yannick Bolasie slipped a pass through to Tom Ince, who cooly lifted the ball over the...

West Brom 1-1 Everton: Lugano Pinches Point On Pepe Mel’s Baggies Bow
David Davies/Pa Wire/Press Association Images

Diego Lugano’s second half header ensured Everton slipped to sixth in the Premier League as Pepe Mel picked up a point in his first game in charge of West Bromwich Albion. The visitors had led at The Hawthorns through a fourth goal of the season for Kevin Mirallas.

Albion started brightly with the controversial Nicolas Anelka feeding strike partner Matej Vydra as the young Czech worked Toffees keeper Tim Howard on eight minutes. Mel’s new managerial magic swiftly subsided, however.

Bryan Oviedo, in the Everton XI in place of the injured Steven Pienaar, fired wide twice in the space of a minute. First he volleyed the second ball from a free kick across goal when Liam Ridgewell’s clearance fell to him.

Oviedo then snatched at a second effort and Mirallas worked Ben Foster in the home goal after coming inside.

West Brom vs Everton: Match Preview, Team News & Likely Line-Ups
Nigel French/Empics Sport

Date: Monday, 2o January 2014; Venue: The Hawthorns, West Bromwich; Kickoff: 20:00 GMT

Pepe Mel makes his debut in the West Bromwich Albion dugout knowing Everton have won on three of their last seven Premier League trips to The Hawthorns.

The Baggies took three points from their last home game against the Toffees in September 2012. Shane Long, who has been sold to Hull City this winter, and Gareth McAuley were on target in that victory.

When the sides met in the reverse fixture last August neither side could score. Nikica Jelavic led the line for Everton that day, but like Long has left his former employers for the Tigers.

Life goes on for both clubs and talented youngsters spearhead their respective attacks in Saido Berahino and Romeluk Lukaku – who faces the club he spent last season on loan with. Leighton Baines may be the man for Roberto Martinez...

The Voice (2011)
It's one thing to perform one of your coach's career-defining songs; it's yet another to do it powerfully and earn her full blessing.

That's what New Jersey teen Jacquie Lee did Monday night on The Voice when she tackled Christina Aguilera's coming-of-age ballad "The Voice Within" with a vocal range rivaling her own coach, who was feeling their connection.

"I do find so many similarities in you, not only as a vocalist but as a person," a beaming Aguilera told Lee. "It's a struggle to find yourself, so young, in this business … I wrote this song when I was...

'The Voice' Recap: Could Blake Shelton Win Again?
The Voice (2011)
Might there finally be a clear frontrunner on this season of The Voice? Because Cole Vosbury has had a pretty solid showing on the iTunes songs chart every week since viewer voting began (this week he's virtually neck and neck with Tessanne Chin, who's at the head of the class for the very first time). At the very least, he is the dark horse to keep an eye on – especially because he hails from three-time winner Blake Shelton's team. (Plus, there's the whole Duck Dynasty vibe he gives off with that broom-like beard.

'The Voice'€. Recap: Jacquie Lee Slays In Emotional Performances
The Top 6 contestants on The Voice performed two songs each last night – one chosen by their coaches and one chosen by themselves. Powerhouse Jacquie Lee of Team Christina Aguilera stole the show with her emotional performances.

The Voice Recap: Cole Vosbury Performances

Cole Vosbury, the last remaining contestant on Blake Shelton’s team, performed Hall & Oates’ “Rich Girl,” as chosen by his coach. Cee Lo Green, Vosbury’s former coach, told the singer he was still rooting for him, while Adam Levine praised his arrangement. Vosbury chose to sing James Morrison’s “A Better Man” and dedicated it to his first love. The emotional performance balanced out his fun performance from earlier.

Tessanne Chin Performances

Tessanne Chin, one of three contestants on Levine’s team, started with Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.” While Chin was nervous because Marley is an important figure in her country, she slayed the song, as usual.
