Daredevil: Born Again Stars Charlie Cox And Vincent D'Onofrio Share A Spoilery First Look At Season 2 Set
Image
We've known for a while now that work is underway on Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and following last night's season 1 finale, stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio have shared a message with fans from the show's set.

In that, a battered and bloody D'Onofrio reveals that they're currently filming in Fogwell's Gym. Not only is this where Battlin' Jack Murdock used to fight, but it's a location we saw Matt Murdock train at during Netflix's Daredevil.

Set photos have confirmed that this will be the location of a charity boxing match with the Kingpin taking on someone called "Matter Horn." Later images revealed Daredevil locking horns with an old foe.

Here's what Cox and D'Onofrio had to say about what's to come for Daredevil and the Kingpin:

Cox: What's up, Daredevil fans? Thank you so much for watching the first season of Born Again. You've been with us through the death of Foggy,...

Daredevil: Born Againbrings back the iconic protector of Hell's Kitchen for another adventure set in the larger world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Charlie Cox played Matt Murdock, a blind attorney who moonlights as a crimefighting vigilante, in Netflix's original series from 2015 to 2018, kicking off what has since been dubbed "The Defenders Saga." After several isolated appearances in various MCU projects, Cox now leads a revival of the original Netflix series, which also features the returns of several supporting cast members, including Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Born Again's upcoming episodes are only the beginning, with a second season already...

‘Daredevil’ Season 1 Recap: Matt Murdock’s First Fight for Hell’s Kitchen
Image
Welcome to the world of “Daredevil,” where Catholic guilt, hallway fights and philosophical pondering reign supreme and the parallel journeys of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk unfold, leading one to become the red-suited hero known as Daredevil and the other to shed his heroic aspirations and embrace the dark mantle as the Kingpin.

The first season charts those journeys in tandem, introducing us to Charlie Cox’s Murdock, an up-and-coming lawyer who was blinded as a child in an accident. But that accident also gifted him with super-sensory powers that allow Murdock to take justice into his own hands outside the law after working hours. Though he will become Marvel’s horned hero Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, he spends most of the first season as “The Man in the Mask,” donning a pedestrian black outfit including a black mask pulled over his eyes.

Murdock works with his best friend and fellow lawyer,...

Everything to Remember About 'Daredevil' Before Watching 'Born Again'?
Image
Quick LinksDaredevil's OriginKingpin's HistoryDaredevil Seasons 1 Through 3 ExplainedSeason 1Season 2The DefendersSeason 3What Happened to Daredevil and Kingpin After the Original Series Ended?

Daredevil is one of Marvel's most iconic heroes, and when the character's self-titled Netflix series debuted in 2015, it was a major television event. Seen as a marked improvement over the 2003 Ben Affleck-led film, this new version of Daredevil kicked off a brief but successful period of Marvel television series on Netflix that came to an end in 2019, with the dawn of the McU's Disney+ era. With how popular both Daredevil the series and the character were, it is no shock that Disney+ greenlit Daredevil: Born Again, a nine-episode series that premieres on Mar. 4, 2025.

Instead of a reboot, Daredevil: Born Again will continue the storyline from the original three-season series and is bringing back many returning favorites, including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin.

‘Daredevil’ Full Recap (Seasons 1-3): Story So Far
Image
Blind justice will take over the MCU as Marvel’s darkest, most spiritually tormented hero returns to the small screen next week with Daredevil: Born Again. Writer Frank Miller’s iconic 70s run of Daredevil, which reimagined the titular hero in a gritty, realistic, and tragic setup—with greater emphasis on the psychological recesses of the character, and the success of CW’s Arrow, which paved the way for grounded, dark small-screen superhero ventures—acted as the foundation of Netflix’s Daredevil back in 2015. With Charlie Cox’s brilliant portrayal as The Man Without Fear, the series continued for three successful seasons—and through its nuanced characterization, storytelling, cinematography, and action sequences, it offered viewers some of the most iconic moments of comic-book media in the process. After an untimely cancellation by Netflix in 2018, fans have been begging for a much-deserved continuation of the series—which they will finally get...

10 Things You Forgot About About Daredevil During the 7-Year Wait for Born Again
Image
The recent release of the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again has fans psyched to see beloved superhero Daredevil helm his own show for the first time since 2018. Daredevil is easily one of Marvel's most successful television endeavors. The superhero action series ran for three seasons, earning five Emmy nominations and amassing a fiercely loyal fanbase.

Most viewers probably remember the basics: blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) protects the people of Hell's Kitchen by relying on his super-powered senses and ninja skills. Matt's mission is aided by his college friend and fellow lawyer Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), his ex-girlfriend and coworker. However, the cult-classic series is full of twists and turns that viewers likely forgot during the long seven-year wait for the revival. Plus, Murdock makes a number of cameos easily missed by those who aren't MCU die-hards.

10 Darkest Daredevil Villains Marvel Should Bring to the Screen
Image
As one of New York City’s most established heroes, Daredevil has some of the most consistently compelling rogues in all Marvel Comics – yet only a handful have been adapted onscreen. Fans have seen heavy hitters like the Kingpin and Bullseye expertly portrayed in the MCU thanks to Netlfix’s fan-favorite Daredevil (2015) series, but ol’ Hornhead has more foes than just these two.

Now the MCU is poised to bring the Man Without Fear back into the fold with the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again (2025) series on Disney+ along with new villains like the malevolent Muse. But Marvel adaptations have still barely tapped the well when it comes to Matt Murdock’s enemies, and each of these entries could be a grim new MCU standout if given the chance.

The Daredevil Storyline That Literally Sent Matt Murdock to Hell
Image
“Going to Hell for God is the logical end for the Catholic devil,” declares Matt Murdock in 2023’s Daredevil #12.

Matt Murdock isn’t the only religious superhero in the Marvel Universe. In addition to fellow Catholic Nightcrawler of the X-Men, there’s the Presbyterian Christian Wolfsbane, Muslim Ms. Marvel, pantheist Black Panther, and Jewish characters like Moon Knight and Kitty Pryde. But Daredevil might be the Marvel superhero whose religion plays the most pronounced role in his stories.

Of course, Daredevil isn’t the first Marvel hero to go to Hell and literally fight the Devil, as Ghost Rider, the X-Men, and anyone who had to deal with Mephisto can attest. But when it’s guilty Catholic Matt Murdock donning his Daredevil duds to deal with the Devil, then it’s a really big deal. Which is exactly why Chip Zdarsky — who wrote Daredevil #12 with artist Marco Checchetto, colorist Matthew Wilson,...

Daredevil's Version of "Uncle Ben" is Comics' Most Underrated Mentor
Image
Daredevil: Black Armor #1 highlights the significant impact of Battlin' Jack Murdock on his son's Matt Murdock's superhero journey. In the series, Matt assumes the identity of Jack Batlin, with the name based on his late father's boxing persona, while this new identity serves to help him to stay connected to the city's underbelly. Jack Murdock serves as an underappreciated mentor figure, similar to Uncle Ben, influencing Daredevil's actions past and present.

Warning: Spoilers for Daredevil: Black Armor #1!

Out of all the mentor characters in the Marvel Universe, Daredevil might have the most underrated: Battlin' Jack Murdock, who died before young Matt began his superhero run, after the boxer refused to take a dive for some gangsters for his fight, resulting in him being murdered soon after. Still, Jack's impact remains significant on Matt to this day.

Daredevil Fans Are Wrong About Why Matt Murdock Became A Lawyer
Image
The death of Daredevil's father was one of the worst things to ever happen to Matt Murdock, and many fans think the fact that his death went unpunished is why Matt became a lawyer. But one of Daredevil's major origin retellings proves that this wasn't exactly the case.

Matt Murdock had a fairly difficult childhood, living with a single father who supported his son by fighting in paid boxing matches. Jack Murdock was terrified that his son would end up going down the darkest path: fighting other men because of Jack's example. This is why Jack pushed Matt to devote himself to learning and bettering himself through non-violent means. But when Jack was asked by the mob to throw his biggest fight ever, Jack chose to win, just to prove he could and still hold onto some dignity. This resulted in the mob killing Jack, and some fans think this...

"Going to Hell is the Logical End": Daredevil Admits the Tragic Way His Story Will End
Image
Warning: contains potential spoilers for Daredevil #12!Daredevil has admitted the incredibly tragic way he believes his story will end. Daredevil’s life has been marked by continual tragedy, which may explain why he feels it will come to an even more heartbreaking end - and a preview for Daredevil #12 seems to confirm this. The issue, part of 12 of "The Red Fist Saga," sees Daredevil at his lowest point yet, but there is still farther to fall.

The issue is written by Chip Zdarsky, drawn by Marco Checchetto, colored by Matthew Wilson and lettered by Clayton Cowles. Daredevil is despondent: the souls of the world leaders, as well as his best friend Foggy Nelson, are trapped in Hell thanks to the Hand. Daredevil feels it is his mission to save them, and he feels the only way to do so is to kill himself by a supernatural vortex which will send...

Psycho II (1983)

"Daredevil: Born Again"
The new "Daredevil" live-action TV series "Daredevil: Born Again" starts shooting February 2023 in New York City, not as a continuation of the Netflix TV series , but as a fresh 'reboot' according to actor Charlie Cox, who reprises his role as blind vigilante crime-fighter 'Matt Murdock':

"It is a Season 1, it is not Season 4, so it is a whole new thing," Cox said. "Which I think is the way to go. If you are going to do it again, do it differently...right now I'm just buzzing that it's kind of happening again, it's starting up again.

Alfred Hitchcock in Psycho (1960)
Psycho III (1986) Revisited – Horror Movie Review
Alfred Hitchcock in Psycho (1960)
It’s time for a new episode of our video series The Black Sheep, and in this one we’re here to discuss the merits of a sequel to the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho. And it’s not Psycho II, which is widely seen as a surprisingly worthy “twenty-three years later” follow-up. The one we’re looking at today is the less popular Psycho III (watch it Here), which was directed by Anthony Perkins himself. To find out what we had to say about Psycho III, check out the video embedded above.

Scripted by Charles Edward Pogue, Psycho III has the following synopsis:

Former mental patient Norman Bates is once again operating his infamous motel. Assisted by the shifty Duane Duke, Norman keeps up the semblance of being sane and ordinary, but he still holds on to some macabre habits. Eventually, Norman becomes interested in Maureen Coyle, a troubled tenant...
