Trump Deports Immigrants to South Sudan After Supreme Court Clears the Way
Image
President Donald Trump’s administration deported eight immigrants to South Sudan, a dangerous country where most of the men have no ties, the Department of Homeland Security said Saturday.

The Friday night deportations come after two federal judges refused to block the move, citing recent rulings by the Supreme Court. The State Department warns Americans not to visit South Sudan “due to continued security threats.”

“These sickos will be in South Sudan by Independence Day,” Dhs Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement on Thursday, calling it a “win for the rule of law,...

Bill Belichick Reveals Why Girlfriend Jordon Hudson Was at CBS Interview
Image
Bill Belichick is still defending the decision to allow his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, to participate in his interview with CBS in April. Wral News reporter Brian Murphy explained Friday that Belichick said Hudson was at the interview because a publicist from his publisher was not.

Murphy added that a source also said “Hudson planned to be there all along.” But, he continued, “it does make you wonder [what would have happened] if the publicists had been there — maybe things would have gone differently.”

Belichick also sought advice from officials at Unc following the debacle. “I don’t want to make a wrong move here,” he wrote in one text.

“Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,” Belichick also wrote in an email, referring to the publisher of his book. “I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book,...

The Most Intense Pop Culture Experience Of 2025 Isn't A Movie – It's A Live D&d Show
Image
Imagine, if you will, standing in line for hours covered head-to-toe in full body paint, surviving on overpriced concession food, and shuffling through massive crowds for the fleeting chance to see Robert Downey Jr. wink mid-gum chew. For years, that was the mystique of Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. It wasn't merely a convention room; it was a modern-day coliseum, a rite of passage for the most committed pop culture devotees. Hall H once felt alive — a collective organism of cheers, gasps, and groans erupting in perfect synchronicity. For a few charged hours, before everyone stumbled out sweaty, overstimulated, and high on adrenaline, it was unfiltered nerd nirvana.

But in recent years, the roar has faded to a murmur. Marvel understandably forewent Hall H in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, missed it in 2023 due to the dual strikes, and recently announced that they'll sit out 2025 as well. The throne is vacant — or would be,...

‘Dimension 20’ Star Lou Wilson on ‘Battle at the Bowl,’ Wanting to ‘Terrorize’ Brennan Lee Mulligan and Which President Inspired His ‘Cloudward, Ho!’ Character
Image
Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers for Episode 1 of “Dimension 20: Cloudward, Ho!” streaming now on Dropout.

As one of “Dimension 20’s” regular cast members (a.k.a. “Intrepid Heroes”) Lou Wilson has played everything from a cyborg engineer to a foul-mouthed wooden puppet. But for the first time in nearly three years, “D20” fans meet a new Lou Wilson player character (PC) in “Dimension 20: Cloudward, Ho!” which hit indie streamer Dropout Wednesday.

The new series, which debuted just days after “Dimension 20’s” live show at the Hollywood Bowl, is an Indiana Jones-meets-Jules Verne-style adventure installment of the role-playing game TV show that follows the crew of an airship as they “Join forces and take to the skies in search of the missing Professor Comfrey MacLeod, [venturing] off to a fantastical world of machine wonders and perils known as Gath.”

Ahead of the “Dimension 20: Battle...

‘Dimension 20’ and Brennan Lee Mulligan’s Busy 2025 Is Saved by 2 Things: ‘Dissociation and Compartmentalization’
Image
For Brennan Lee Mulligan, juggling the many stories and skyrocketing popularity of his Dropout series “Dimension 20” comes down to two key things – “dissociation and compartmentalization.”

For the uninitiated, “Dimension 20” is a tabletop role-playing game series where a group of comedians and actors play through a story – usually using a “Dungeons and Dragons” ruleset, but not always. The format has ballooned in popularity over the years, with shows like “Critical Role” and podcasts claiming equally large fandoms.

“Dimension 20” and Mulligan kicked off 2025 with a bang in January by playing a live show at Madison Square Garden with the core players known as the Intrepid Heroes – Lou Wilson, Emily Axford, Brian Murphy, Siobhan Thompson, Ally Beardsley and Zac Oyama.

Now the show is prepping another bout of live shows starting with one at the Hollywood Bowl on June 1, while also premiering the next season for the Intrepid Heroes on...

Trump Admin Misleads the Supreme Court About Its South Sudan Deportations
Image
Donald Trump’s administration has appealed to the Supreme Court, asking the justices to bless his effort to deport a group of migrants to South Sudan, a war-torn African country, with little notice and in express violation of a judge’s order.

The high court has already smacked down the administration’s efforts to conduct rapid deportations without due process twice now. This time, Trump’s Department of Justice is trying to persuade the justices to undermine the rule of law, with a misleading brief that is undercut both by...

Rubio Says Blocking Deportations to South Sudan Will Harm Humanitarian Aid
Image
A judge ruled this week that Donald Trump’s administration violated his order barring officials from deporting people to third countries by attempting to send a group of Asian immigrants to South Sudan — and directed them to maintain custody of the immigrants at a U.S. military base.

On Friday night, Trump’s Justice Department and Secretary of State Marco Rubio unveiled a wild new argument as they demanded Judge Brian Murphy either reconsider or pause his orders so they can appeal them. The Trump officials argued that blocking the...

Trump Allegedly Violates Court Order, Sends Asian Immigrants to South Sudan
Image
After an appeals court declined to remove an injunction aimed at barring Donald Trump’s administration from deporting noncitizens to “third-party countries” — a country that is not their country of origin — without due process, and without giving them chance to raise concerns of persecution, torture, and death, the government allegedly violated that court order days later.

Two men, who are originally from Myanmar and Vietnam and were being held in U.S. immigration custody, were deported to war-torn South Sudan, according their lawyers, Politico reported. Their lawyers said they received...

The new season, titled “Cloudward, Ho!,” features returning game master Brennan Lee Mulligan and Dimension’s main cast of players, known as the Intrepid Heroes.

According to a synopsis, the new season follows the Intrepid Heroes as they “venture off to a fantastical world of machine wonders and perils known as Gath, where they’ll join forces and take to the skies in search of the missing Professor Comfrey MacLeod.”

Lawyers Say Trump Is Trying to Send Asian Immigrants to Libya
Image
President Donald Trump’s administration is working to ramp up its pointless cruelty toward immigrants, and has apparently been plotting to have the military send Asian immigrants to Libya imminently, according to immigration lawyers.

The plan to deport immigrants to Libya, a war-torn country known for widespread mistreatment of migrants, would represent not just a likely human rights violation but another brazen act of defiance toward the federal judiciary.

Last month, a federal judge in Massachusetts issued an injunction barring the Trump administration from deporting any noncitizen to a third...

Brennan Lee Mulligan on ‘Dimension 20: Titan Takedown’ and Why Learning About WWE Was Like ‘Dante’s Inferno’
Image
Brennan Lee Mulligan has shown “Dimension 20” viewers countless new worlds as the dungeon master of Dropout’s tabletop actual play series, but now he’s stepping into a new realm: professional wrestling.

The latest season of “Dimension 20,” “Titan Takedown,” is a four-episode side quest that swaps Mulligan’s usual crew of comics and D&d aficionados for a quartet of WWE wrestlers: Bayley, Chelsea Green, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods/Austin Creed.

Though Dungeons & Dragons and pro-wrestling may seem like two different universes, Mulligan says the idea for a wrestling season of “Dimension 20” has been brewing for some time. “These wrestlers have tons of fans among the Dropout staff and the ‘Dimension 20’ cast and crew,” he told Variety.

“We’d had Austin [Creed] on ‘Um, Actually’ and word got to me that he loved playing D&d, so there was immediately a connection there. I was like ‘Oh,...

‘Dimension 20’ Star Brennan Lee Mulligan Reveals Which D&d Player Told Him to ‘Eat My F—ing Dice’ and More
Image
Before they made history playing a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, “Dimension 20” dungeon master Brennan Lee Mulligan and the intrepid heroes that star on the Dropout tabletop role-playing game TV series sat down with Variety for a game of “Most Likely To.”

While everyone agreed that all six players do their fair share of causing problems, Mulligan admitted there’s one intrepid hero with a particular aptitude for antagonizing the dungeon master:

“As the Dm, I’m pointing at a specific person that is right for me [Thompson],” Mulligan said. “I’ve only been told to ‘eat my fucking dice’ on camera by one person. If ‘antagonize’ is an active verb, I think it’s Siobhan.” Thompson, for her part, agreed wholeheartedly: “Oh yeah, I’m not antagonizing him, I’m actually bullying him.”

Though Thompson may be the most outwardly adversarial, Mulligan and the rest of the...

Image
Madison Square Garden was sold-out and packed with screaming fans on Friday night, but it wasn’t for a Grammy-winning artist or New York sports team: It was a group of “intrepid heroes” who have taken over the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

Dimension 20, a group of D&d players who specialize in monster slaying and absurd improv on the streaming service Dropout, took Msg by storm for their first major live show, “Gauntlet at the Garden.” Led by their dungeon master Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Dimension 20 crew, made up of Zac Oyama, Emily Axford, Lou Wilson, Brian Murphy, Ally Beardsley and Siobhan Thompson, revisited their popular NYC-inspired Unsleeping City campaign. However, D20 fans were in for a treat as surprise crossover characters from other games popped into the show after being influenced by random dice rolls from the audience. Once considered a niche, nerdy hobby, Dungeons and Dragons has rocketed to mainstream popularity,...

The rest of the trailer snaps between these two extremes. One moment, it shows Aaron playing football with the crowd roaring in his ears. The next, he’s brandishing a gun or hanging out in a sleazy house. No matter what the trailer shows, the same ominous ticking can be heard in the background.

FX’s American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez trailer paints a grim picture of a gridiron warrior gone wrong
Image

Dimension 20, Dropout‘s Dungeons & Dragons show, is coming to Madison Square Garden for a night of live Ttrpg adventure.

Dimension 20: Gauntlet at the Garden takes place Jan. 24, 2025. Since the show’s unveiling earlier this month, there’s been...

Wild ‘Succession’ Finale Theory That Ties a Character to an Obscure Major Leaguer Is Acknowledged by MLB
“Succession”-mania has reached the Major Leagues, with the MLB on Saturday acknowledging a viral fan theory about the HBO show’s finale that ties into a historic World Series play. As MLB.com writer Brian Murphy put it, “We’ll see if the conclusion does indeed tie back to a piece of baseball history from 103 years ago.”

Careful for “Succession” spoilers below.

The MLB shared Nameberry’s viral TikTok video connecting the “Succession” character Tom Wambsgans’ surname to an obscure MLB player whose sole memorable moment in the Majors came in Game 5 of the 1920 World Series. Bill Wambsganss, an infielder for Cleveland, is the only player in league history to turn an unassisted triple play in the postseason.

Click here to read the full article.

A lawsuit exposing a rift between two of Paul Newman’s daughters and the late actor’s charitable foundation alleges its leaders are betraying Newman’s directives for his family to be intimately involved in the organization.

They allege the Newman’s Own Foundation improperly cut the mandated contributions to entities controlled by the daughters, Susan Kendall Newman and Nell Newman, from 400,000 to 200,000 annually, according to the suit filed on Tuesday in Connecticut state court. They claim it’s the first step toward completely ousting their family from the foundation funded by profits from their father’s publicity rights.

“Newman’s Own Foundation lost its way and strayed from its mission to preserve and honor Paul Newman’s legacy,” states the complaint. “The years since Mr. Newman’s death consist of a long and consistent pattern of disregard, by those in control, of Mr.

Whistleblower: Trump Officials Endangered the Nation to Protect Trump’s Fragile Ego
Image
Washington — They juiced the numbers to fabricate a non-existent terrorist threat on the southern border to make the case for President Trump’s border wall. They buried the intelligence about Russian interference in American elections to keep the president happy. They demanded the reassignment or termination of “deep state” analysts whose reports didn’t fit the administration’s predetermined narrative about violence and corruption in Latin America. And they retaliated against the career official who dared to question or resist these moves.
