Mark Harmon‘s Leroy Jethro Gibbs left NCIS in the fourth episode of the nineteenth season. Before he left, the show introduced a capable leader for the McRt team in FBI Special Agent Alden Parker. Gary Cole’s character may have initially come across as a hindrance in Gibbs’s way of going after the evil corporation Sonoma.
However, we immediately cozied up to him after he threw his FBI career on the line for Gibbs and got fired after leaving Gibbs to live a peaceful life in Alaska. By the time Director Vance offered up the position to Parker, at least some of the fans were happy with the decision. Since then, Cole has completed four seasons of NCIS without Harmon’s Gibbs.
Not many fans were impressed with the 22nd season of the show that came after a shortened 21st season. It had no high-stakes storyline that concluded on a satisfactory note.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is set to premiere in September, and the two stars, Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, appeared for a panel at Comic-Con recently. The duo play the titular characters from the NCIS original series, who appeared together for nine seasons on the show. The last time we saw them together was during the eleventh season of the show.
When the fan favorite ‘Tiva’ returns to the screen, we all desire Mark Harmon‘s Gibbs to be there to witness it. Harmon stayed long after both Weatherly and Pablo were gone from the Og show. He exited the show in Season 19, but remains attached to the franchise as an executive producer of NCIS: Origins.

All aboard the nostalgia train. After fans basically broke the internet, garnering a whopping 7 million views on the newest trailer for NCIS: Tony & Ziva in less than a week, the stars are revealing their motivations behind the upcoming NCIS spin-off. While the series in and of itself of the military drama, Jag, the crime drama has eclipsed the series in longevity as it enters its 23rd season in October. NCIS: Tony & Ziva premieres September 4, exclusively on Paramount+ and now leads Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are talking about how the series calls back to one of the characters that theirs interacted with most, Mark Harmon's Leroy Jethro Gibbs. While Gibbs has already been at the forefront of many fans minds, with the prequel series, NCIS: Origins, de Pablo shares what made her think of the character, often seen as a father figure to her Ziva David.

Freakier Friday, the long-awaited sequel to the beloved 2000s classic, is bringing back most of its original cast, with the iconic duo of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis leading from the front. Moreover, unlike other comeback sequels of its kind, the sequel retains most of its main ensemble, including former NCIS star Mark Harmon and former teen heartthrob Chad Michael Murray.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva fans at San Diego Comic Con not only got the chance to see a fresh new trailer for the upcoming NCIS spin-off, premiering on Paramount+ September 4, but they also got a chance to see the first ten minutes of the very first episode "No Country Is Safe." Collider's Meredith Loftus was in attendance for the presentation, which included a panel with leads Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly, as well as showrunner John McNamara. It was moderated by NCIS' Brian Dietzen.
Loftus describes the first ten minutes beginning in Budapest. Tony Dinozzo (Weatherly) is doing what he does best, and chaotically arriving on scene. He meets up, in a tux, with Ziva David (de Pablo), who's wearing a wedding dress. Tony tells Ziva that she looks incredible and Ziva insists they get it over with. In exciting news, the cast and crew of NCIS are hard at work on season 23; in worrisome news, two actors are suspiciously missing from a behind-the-scenes video. The CBS military police procedural TV series has featured many cast changes over the years. Perhaps NCIS is in store for another shakeup in season 23.
The NCIS universe's Instagram page posted a video from the cast's first day on the set of season 23 on July 17, 2025. Katrina Law, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Rocky Carroll, and Gary Cole were all in attendance to announce the monumental event. However, NCIS has seven cast members, not five. That begs the question — where are Brian Dietzen and Diona Reasonover?

As gamers, we all love to judge fast and tear down games that don’t meet our expectations. In most cases, the criticism is fair. Just take a look at something like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), is it even worth your drive space? However, if we’re being honest, sometimes we take things too far and write off titles in a matter of seconds.
Our early reviews and memeing into oblivion can sometimes seriously damage or ruin a game even before it’s had a fair chance in the market. And yet, every now and then, we see a game rise like a phoenix from the dark ashes of hate to break every single record under the sun. So, let’s take a look at 10 video games that we all mocked at launch, but they proved everyone wrong by doing a zero-to-hero story.

Attention NCIS fans! CBS has officially announced the premiere dates of its primetime shows, including NCIS. Season 23 is sure to be filled with plenty of new cases and personal arcs for the characters and we’re excited to see where things continue to go for the agents. However, we do need to wait a little later in the fall 2025 season to watch the premiere of season 23.
CBS has moved NCIS to Tuesday nights with new episodes starting on October 14 with the season 23 premiere. The move to Tuesdays is due to the FBI franchise losing two of its shows and CBS needing to fill those timeslots. This means that NCIS will take over the 8/7c time block that was previously taken by FBI, which is now moving to Mondays.

The NCIS series is one of the longest-running live-action series and most successful franchises in TV history. NCISis finally in danger of losing its spot on top of the streaming charts.
Per Flix Patrol, the long-running procedural has officially slid down to the number ten spot on the list of the top streaming series on Paramount+. As of the now, NCIS sits behind SpongeBob SquarePants, Seal Team, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, while South Park, MobLand, and Yellowstone dominate the number one, two, and three spots on the list, respectively.
A spin-off of Jag, the mainline NCIS series premiered back in 2003 and immediately established itself as the latest hit television sensation. The series kicked off with a leading cast consisting of Mark Harmon as NCIS Supervisory Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Sasha Alexander as NCIS Special Agent Caitlin Todd, Michael Weatherly as NCIS Senior Field Agent Anthony Dinozzo, Pauley Perrette as NCIS Forensic Specialist Abby Sciuto, David McCallum as Doctor Donald "Ducky" Mallard, and Sean Murray as NCIS Field Agent Timothy McGee.

The latest streaming stats are in, and it looks like Paramount+ subscribers are pressing pause on their latest NCIS rewatch. The long-running military police procedural has shockingly dropped out of the No. 2 spot in the streamer's Top 10 TV Shows list for the second time this week.
Per FlixPatrol, NCIS has just dropped to No. 3 on Paramount+'s Top 10 TV Shows list in the United States. The last time this happened was on June 30, when SpongeBob SquarePants briefly overtook the No. 2 spot from NCIS. While not as major of a drop as some might have expected, NCIS doesn't often waver from the No. 2 spot, having consistently held it for a while now, with the same going for SpongeBob at No. 3. However, both shows have lost a spot due to the renewed interest in the Showtime drama series The Chi, which has jumped up a massive five spots to No. 2. All eyes...

NCIS returns for an impressive 23rd season this Fall, and it will feature a slight shift. Instead of diving into cases, the season will largely focus on what makes the team what it is — the characters. Showrunner Steven D. Binder told TV Line that characters will be explored in a way they haven't been in a long time, which is great news for fans of various team members. "We really want to get to everybody in a big way." he said. This decision is partially inspired by a recurring complaint where characters have been sidelined in favor of cases. Binder has heard these criticisms and the show will change to accommodate them in Season 23. He explained:
"I know people always say, ‘I watch the show for the characters’ — that was always our thing — and I really want to make this a character-forward show in a way we haven’t seen before.

Earlier this week, Netflix teased the second season of One Piece, it's live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's historically successful pirate manga. This new season will introduce a bunch of popular characters. That includes Tony Tony Chopper, a talking reindeer who joins the Straw Hat pirates as the ship doctor.
Now, at their Tudum event, Netflix finally pulled the curtain on this character. Watch below:
Tony Tony Chopper is played by Mikaela Hoover, and by "played," I mean she's voice the character and provide facial capture. Ever since the legacy TV series "Jag" quietly launched the "NCIS" universe, viewers have been graced with more military police procedural action than they could ever have hoped for. "NCIS" premiered in 2003, and after over two decades and numerous spin-offs, the show has successfully wrapped up its season 22. This, of course, begs the question: Will the train keep rolling? Can the audience expect a new season full of the Major Case Response Team's toughest investigations?
In a nutshell, the answer is yes. A new season of the CBS show will eventually bring us back to the Washington Navy Yard, because "NCIS" season 23 is most definitely coming. As for precisely when this will happen, what story arcs the upcoming season will focus on, and which familiar faces we can expect to return on both sides of the camera ... well, those are the questions that matter. NCIS season 22 may be over, but we’re still thinking of what lies ahead for many of the characters. While we may have an idea about how some characters, like Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole), may fare thanks to the season 22 finale episode, what is in store for Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray)?
McGee’s arc centered on his feeling that Laroche was a mole within NCIS. This occurred after Nick Torres’s undercover identity was compromised, and the only person who had access to his personnel files was Laroche himself.
Over the course of season 22, McGee attempted to find out what Laroche was up to, but it began to affect both his professional and personal life. He was staying at the office more often than getting rest. At one point, his job was even on the line when Laroche figured out he was watching him and filed a formal complaint.

The Big Bang Theory spin-off, Young Sheldon, has brought several talented actors into the spotlight, from lead star Iain Armitage to Zoe Perry, who portrayed Mary Cooper, Sheldon’s mother, throughout the CBS series. Perry has since reprised the role in the new spin-off, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

The NCIS: Tony & Ziva first-look trailer made me laugh like a little kid. As a surprise, Paramount+ announced the spinoff would be coming in August 2025 instead of later in the fall. During the May 8, 2025 Paramount Global Earnings Call, Paramount touched base on their shows, mentioning that Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 premiered earlier that day, NCIS: Tony & Ziva had been moved up to an August release, and four of Taylor Sheridan's shows filled the rest of the year's schedule.
Tony Dinozzo is one of my favorite characters. Although I loved Kate Todd and was devastated by her departure, it allowed CBS to cast a hardcore female agent who would test Tony like Kate did for two seasons. Ziva's addition in season 3 was the perfect move for the franchise. But no one knew they'd become an NCIS on-and-off-again love story to last decades.

Since the advent of streaming, prestige shows, which often lean toward being an elongated movie, whose story is told over multiple seasons of TV, have become the norm. With more and more shows leaving behind the age-old formula of 20-episode seasons, the future of procedural dramas, which were the heavy hitters in the 2000s and early 2010s, remains uncertain.
Although shows like NCIS are here to stay, which was renewed for its 23rd season last month, the CBS drama will be adapting to the changing entertainment landscape by incorporating several shifts.

While he was convinced that something was amiss, other characters thought he might have been trying to cope with losing to Laroche. The Season 22 finale took everything in a different direction as the team uncovered a major operation. By the end, Laroche left his position wide open for McGee to try again. However, NCIS showrunner Steven D. Binder is unsure that McGee becoming the new deputy director would be a step in the right direction for the character. "I’m not sure how much fun there is to be permanently putting McGee in a middle management role," he told TV Insider when discussing what's on the horizon in Season 23.

After two decades on NCIS, Sean Murray isn’t sticking around just for nostalgia or a steady paycheck. The longtime fan-fave has made it clear: he’s only in as long as one key condition is met. For Murray, it’s all about the storytelling. If the show ever stops evolving or becomes a procedural snoozefest, he’s out.
No drama, no grand exit, just a quiet fade if the spark is gone. It’s a refreshingly honest take from a veteran star who knows when to walk away. And with NCIS still delivering, for now, Murray’s badge isn’t hanging up just yet.

NCIS is wrapping Season 22 this Monday, May 5, and the show has some major things planned, according to series star Wilmer Valderrama. The actor who plays Nick Torres appeared on CBS Mornings and discussed the upcoming season finale with the show's hosts. Valderrama revealed that the season-ender features a major death that will shake up the show's main crew. "Somebody does die, and it's not the murder of the week. It's somebody very ... unfortunately ... very close to us and it's going to be very earth-shattering and really heartbreaking," the actor said. He refused to reveal who the victim is, even when his character was floated around as the potential victim. The death will have far-reaching consequences beyond the episode and into the succeeding season. "The biggest idea was to say 'how do we disrupt the peace of Season 22 and set out the tone for Season 23,' and this episode does that...

Things might look chill on-screen, but word is there’s some serious side-eye happening behind the scenes at NCIS. Two of the show’s big names, who act all buddy-buddy for the cameras, are reportedly clashing harder than a season finale plot twist. Ever since the show’s power shift, both have allegedly been gunning for more screen time and top-dog status. Sure, they keep it professional where it counts, but fans are starting to clock the weird vibes.
Is it just smoke, or is there some spicy behind-the-scenes beef cooking? Either way, this alleged feud’s got more drama than a double homicide case.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS Season 22 Episode 19 “Irreconcilable Differences.”] McGee (Sean Murray) is determined to take down Laroche (Seamus Dever) no matter what on NCIS, and in the penultimate episode, his former boss who knew a thing or two about personal pursuits, Gibbs (Mark Harmon exited in Season 19), is brought up quite a bit. The episode begins with McGee, dressed like Gibbs and even pouring himself a drink like the man, in his basement, noticing an Alaska postcard. Then the TV in the room shows a feed of himself there … walking around the back of a boat, so McGee follows suit. It says Tim. When he hears someone upstairs, his immediate reaction is “Boss?” but it’s Laroche. “Don’t look so surprised, you knew this was coming,” he says before shooting him, and McGee wakes at his desk to everything he has on the man on his computer screen. Basement dreams can mess with your head,...

While Mark Harmon’s Agent Gibbs led the NCIS team for the longest time, he left the show in 2021, and the position of the longest-appearing NCIS cast member went to Sean Murray. The latter plays Timothy McGee in the show, the resident computer geek who was Gibbs’ tech advisor and is now one of the series’ lead characters.
Murray joined the show in 2003, and his performance has been appreciated by fans. However, he has also received criticism for the way his character progressed and his personality changed. From being a nerdy and morally unambiguous rookie to being a stoic and wiser agent, McGee’s transition has been great yet not free from criticism.

Movies are like comfort food for the soul. Whether you’re looking to laugh, cry, or just escape the chaos of daily life, there’s always something playing that fits the mood. But let’s be honest, movie lovers can be very picky too. One second, we’re praising a film’s aesthetic, and the next, we’re tearing it apart because the villain’s logic didn’t make sense or the protagonist made a decision no sane person would ever make. Filmmakers try their best, but even the best of the best slip up sometimes.
It’s kind of wild how even the most loved movies—yes, the blockbusters and cult classics—have plot holes that are just sitting out there, waving at us. Unless you’re watching with a super sharp eye (or you’re on your fifth rewatch), you probably never noticed them or thought about them hard enough.

She thinks he’s nice, but McGee protests, showing a mint (Laroche’s brand) he found under his desk, an indication, as he sees it, that he’s been spying on him. And this isn’t about losing out on the job to him, he insists, but rather about him hiding things from the team and playing politics with cases. After an anonymous tip, the team arrests and interrogates a hitman known as The Poet, only for him to die by suicide...
