Fast & Furious' main story will come to an end in 2026 when the franchise returns for its final outing, but the saga is likely to continue through future spinoffs, and there are several characters that deserve their own project. Having had 10 mainline movies since 2001, Fast & Furious has become a huge cinematic spectacle and one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time, eventually branching out into spinoffs for the first time in 2019 with Hobbs & Shaw. The action flick was a big hit, leading to the confirmation of a solo Hobbs spinoff.
There is no exact release date for the project, but Hobbs' solo outing will almost certainly come after the central story reaches its conclusion. In addition, Hobbs & Shaw 2 is also supposedly in the works, but with many aspects of Fast & Furious' future uncertain, it's anyone's guess whether the film will actually happen or not. Regardless, more spinoffs are...

Fast X: Part 2 seemingly gets a new update from Vin Diesel, with a set photo suggesting that filming on the sequel has now begun. After the Fast X cliffhanger ending in 2023, the long-running Fast & Furious franchise is expected to continue with an additional installment, which might be the last for Diesel and the rest of the Fast Saga crew. Fast X: Part 2 filming has previously been reported to be getting underway in early 2025, but Mia Toretto actor Jordana Brewster recently revealed to Screen Rant that she doesn't know what the sequel's filming timeline is.
Diesel now takes to Instagram to share a new set photo, seemingly from Fast X: Part 2. The photo shows a black Chevy Chevelle, a car that Dom has driven in previous installments, driving between another classic car and a camera vehicle. Diesel's caption doesn't explicitly confirm that they're shooting the next Fast & Furious movie,...

A Fast & Furious franchise star is set to join Paul Rudd and Jack Black in the upcoming Anaconda remake, which will provide a comedic reimagining of the original movie. The upcoming Anaconda remake was confirmed in August, co-written by Tom Gormican and Kevin Etten (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) and sporting a more comedic take on the franchise. Black and Rudd will portray the leads in a group of friends going through a midlife crisis, deciding to remake a movie from when they were younger, implied to be the snake-focused horror movie itself.
Now, Deadline has confirmed Daniela Melchior, who portrayed Isabel Neves in Fast X, will be joining Rudd and Black's Anaconda in an unknown role. Melchoir is best known for being the Portugese dub actor for Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and most recently as Ellie in Road House. Her talent in these large...

Fast X sets up a harrowing and epic conclusion to the franchise with an end to Dominic Toretto's character arc. Despite Dominic Toretto leaving the franchise, the Fast & Furious movies are unlikely to end due to their reliable success and Universal's development of spinoffs and future movies. Existing characters like Brian Toretto, Isabel Neves, Tess, Gisele, Jakob Toretto, Ramsey, and Little Nobody have the potential to replace Dom as the franchise's new lead.
Fast X was the beginning of the end of the Fast & Furious series as it is currently known, but there are many characters who can carry the torch after Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) leaves the franchise. The 10th Fast & Furious movie was the first of the two-part finale of the long-running series, as it ended on a cliffhanger where Dom and his son are stranded at the bottom of a dam that's rigged to blow.

The Fast and Furious franchise has a history of introducing surprise siblings, and Fast X continues this trend by revealing that Isabel is the younger sister of Elena. The constant introduction of secret siblings has become predictable and borders on self-parody, and it's time for the franchise to move away from this plot device. Instead of relying on shocking reveals, the action, fight scenes, and stunts should be enough to keep audiences engaged in the future of the Fast and Furious saga.
A plot twist in Fast X continued a surprising Fast and Furious streak to a fifth consecutive movie. Fast X brought Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew back to Brazil to face the consequences of their actions from 2011's Fast Five. It seems as though no matter how fast Dom drives, he can never really outrun his past. The Fast and Furious saga continually pulling Dom and...

Audiences that flocked to theaters to watch Fast X might have been impressed by the movie’s reveal of returning characters and a glimpse of long-forgotten ones. We all know that the franchise is always about the core family of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), but the new installment saved a little fuel to work on a separate family member which is a late introduction to the story. In an interview with Collider's Perri Nemiroff, Daniela Melchior dedicated some time to talk about her debut in the Fast & Furious franchise, and her character Isabel Neves.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Fast XFast X stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez have reflected on bringing back two major characters from previous Fast and Furious movies. The new film, which sees the found family at the center of the franchise facing off against new villain Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) also included surprise appearances from Gal Gadot as Gisele and Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs, the latter of which was in a bonus credits scene. Gadot hasn't been seen in the franchise since Furious 7, while Johnson stepped away after his spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, not appearing in the most recent outing F9.
Recently, The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Diesel and Rodriguez to discuss those Fast X cameos. Diesel, whose alleged feud with Johnson is part of the reason the star didn't appear in F9, said that the cameos were designed to please the fans and highlight the franchise's "running theme of unity.

Warning: Spoilers for Fast X Below!
Daniela Melchior's role in Fast X is far more significant than it initially seemed. In Fast X, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family rev their engines to take down their latest adversary, the hyperactive and sadistic Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa). As the opening prologue of Fast X reveals, Dante is the son of Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), the Brazilian crime boss who was the subject of Dom and co.'s Rio de Janeiro heist in Fast Five, with Dante determined to take his revenge for the heist and his father's death.
One of Dom's new allies against Dante is Isabel Neves (Daniela Melchior), a street racer from Brazil whose skill set is invaluable in helping Dom's family against Dante. However, while street-racing and automotive skills are well-known staples of the Fast Saga, Isabel has a much deeper connection to Dom's past...
