Marion Cotillard has been in the business since the age of 18 and, within the more than two decades of churning out more than 50 feature movies, has rarely — if ever — turned in a bad performance no matter which role she inhabits. And now, with Allied set to hit theaters on November 23, the French-born actress is expected to wow us once more.

Allied, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis, stars Cotillard as a French Resistance fighter named Marianne Beausejour and Brad Pitt as an intelligence officer in North Africa named Max Vatan who begin a relationship while behind enemy lines. The two decide to take their romance to London — where they marry — but their love is tested by the pressures of World War II.

Rome -- The Smell of Us, the latest from Kids director Larry Clark, will have its premiere on August 31 as part of Venice Days, the independent sidebar of the Venice Film Festival, the film’s international distributor, Wild Bunch, has confirmed. The feature stars Michael Pitt, Alex Martin and Niseema Theillaud in a story of a group of self-destructive skateboarders in Paris. The Smell of Us is Clark's first film to shoot outside the U.S. Photos The Scene at Comic-Con 2014 Clark wrote the script with Mathieu Landais, a young writer more commonly known as S.C.

The thriller Switch will be released in France's theatres on July 6. This film has a Canadian connection. In fact, Switch is the first French film in which Canadian actress Karine Vanasse plays.

In this film, she stars as a Montrealer named Sophie Malaterre. She decides to go live in Paris. In order to do so, she exchanges on a web site her apartment with someone else. However, once in Paris, the police tells her that a corpse has been found in Sophie's new apartment in Paris.

The film also stars Eric Cantona, Mehdi Nebbou, Aurélien Recoing, Karina Testa, Bruno Todeschini and Niseema Theillaud. Other Canadians in the cast include Maxim Roy and Sophie Faucher.
