David Nixon was born on 29 December 1919 in Muswell Hill, London, England, UK. He was a writer and actor, known for Aladdin (1951), The Spider's Web (1960) and Showtime (1959). He was married to Vivenne Nichols, Paula Marshall and Margaret Burton. He died on 1 December 1978 in Surrey, England, UK.

Bravely fought lung cancer from 1973 until his death in 1978. His final television appearance was only a couple of days before he died.

He was a very heavy smoker often going through sixty cigarettes a day.

He was born the youngest of three brothers.
