It’s been a decade since Sebastian Roché was seen as the villainous Jerry Jacks on General Hospital. Now, the actor has revealed whether he’ll ever return to the soap he once called home.
Never Say Never
Roché played Jerry, the evil brother of Jax from 2007-2015, a character most notable for the Metro Court hostage situation of 2007, Robin’s (ex-Kimberly McCullough) “death” in 2011, and Port Charles’ tainted water in 2012.
Since exiting the soap in 2015 when Jerry got sent to prison, Roché has held numerous roles on shows like Batwoman, MacGyver, and 1923. The actor recently spoke with People about the possibility of returning to Gh.

“I think it’s firmly in the past,” Roché admitted. “It was a great experience, but now I’m really in the creative. We have a lot of plans,” he shared about himself and his wife,...

There are so many wonderful kinds of animation styles, and one underrepresented but powerfully enduring aesthetic is that of stop-motion. Whether through the use of cut-outs, claymation, or puppetry, stop-motion is a cinematic technique whereby the camera stops and starts in rapid progression to give animated figures the impression of movement. This is a highly time-consuming and meticulous animation technique, and although other styles may be simpler and more affordable, some of the best-animated movies of all time utilize a stop-motion style.
As a type of filmmaking that’s already set apart from the average movie, stop-motion animated features often lean into thought-provoking themes and have addressed serious issues around mental health, childhood trauma, and the undeniable perseverance of the human spirit. While there are well-known stop-motion classics, including The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, plenty of more recent releases prove this genre is not dead.

Despite the widespread popularity of Disney and Dreamworks, animation as a medium of storytelling remains criminally underappreciated, to the point that it's still largely considered a genre of filmmaking. While there's an Academy Award exclusively for animated feature films, the Academy is yet to consider, for example, voice acting as worthy of an Oscar. Even the Oscar for visual effects has never been awarded to an animated film. Only three animated films have been nominated for it, of which one is the live-action remake of The Lion King, which is still entirely animated.
As a result, it's not uncommon for animated films to fly under the radar or have low expectations from viewers. Even though animated movies are often dark, they're still largely considered to be only made for children. Even if that were the case, there's no reason an adult can't enjoy animated movies, as seen with some of...

While some may consider Fantasy as a genre to be kids' stuff, some of the greatest films of all time have been one form of fantasy or another. It's an incredibly flexible and inclusive genre, and it doesn't hurt that fantasy films are increasingly high-grossing at the box office. Yet much of that phenomenal popularity often hinges on franchises, and for those who haven't yet been bitten by the fantasy bug, an eight-film saga like Harry Potter doesn't exactly seem like the most accessible starting point.
There are dozens of incredible fantasy films that stand on their own and make for a fantastic introduction to the genre, whether you're looking to find something to show your kids over the holidays or convince your uncle that fantasy films can be masterpieces. And even as an adult, many fantasy films just hit different, bringing an emotional depth that can touch us more...

A new trailer for Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons has arrived online. This latest DC animated feature is interesting as it started life as a short-form series on CW Seed. But more than 50 minutes of footage has been added, given fans an entire movie to enjoy. The trailer showcases the R-rated adventure to come, with Slade Wilson getting his hands very dirty on a quest to save his family.
The trailer opens up with Slade Wilson's transformation into the assassin known as Deathstroke. Things get action-heavy in a hurry before we find the mercenary put in a tough spot. A large body count is racked up, plenty of bullets fly and there is quite a bit of emotion layered in to break up the violence. Even though this came to life in a non-traditional way, converting a series into a full-length movie, it looks to be in line with what we...

With Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson unlikely to return for Arrow‘s eighth and final season and the character now being played by Esai Morales over on DC Universe’s Titans, The CW somehow managed to have him remain in the Arrowverse in some fashion. Ingeniously enough, the Deathstroke animated series we’ve been hearing about for some time will serve that purpose.
In the tradition of Vixen, Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Constantine: City of Demons, Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons will be the next animated web series to air on The CW Seed online streaming site. No concrete premiere date has been given at the time of this writing, but the first of twelve episodes will air beginning sometime in the first quarter of 2020.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Ten years ago, Slade Wilson—aka the super-assassin called Deathstroke—made a tragic mistake and his wife and son paid a terrible price.

With the cameras currently rolling, the cast for David Green’s (Earth to Echo) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is slowly but surely coming together, with word from Deadline that Brittany Ishibashi (Emily Owens M.D., Political Animals) will be taking on the role of Karai, loyal member of the Foot Clan, and depending on what version of the story you’ve seen, is either the Shredder’s (played this time round by Brian Tee) successor or related to him in some way. Karai was actually seen briefly in the the original movie, played by Minae Noji, but a bulked up role the second time round may have called for a recasting. Ishibashi joins the original cast, including Will Arnett and Megan Fox, swell as other newcomers, including Stephen Amell as vigilante Casey Jones, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, and Gary Anthony Williams as the warthog part of fan favourite duo Bebop and Rocksteady.

It looks like Karai will have a larger role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, as Deadline report that the character has been recast, with Brittany Ishibashi replacing Minae Noji. Karai's origins are never alluded to in the first movie, but there have been several variations of them over the years. In classic Tmnt lore she's depicted as being either the daughter or granddaughter of Shredder, but in the new animated series for example, she's is actually Splinter's daughter, who's stolen and raised by Shredder to believe that the Turtles' sensei is the one responsible for the death of her mother. Ishibashi most recently appeared in TV shows such as Grace And Frankie, Bones and Emily Owens, M.D., as well as features Everything Before Us and The Harvesting. The actress joins Gary Anthony Williams, Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Laura Linney and Brian Tee in the...

Films with great women’s roles aren’t always great films. Films with poor female representation aren’t necessarily bad films. But poorly written female roles will always be a problem for cinema so long as they continue to persist. The damsel in distress. Angel-whore. The token girl. Trophy wives. Mother, daughter, sister. The unconditional love interest. These are among the popular clichés most frequently applied to female characters as they’re written on the page. Some films are so desperate for conflict that they just keep going to the well without altering the mold. Have women not earned the right by now to play more villains, complicated lovers, a-holes, The Best Friends, soldiers, comic reliefs or leads? Can a woman be sexy in a film and still have a great role? Yes. Give her agency. Can a woman support other characters but still have a great role? Yes. Keep her vital.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took in an impressive $65 million at the box office this past weekend, replacing the beloved Marvel sci-fi epic Guardians of the Galaxy as the number one movie in the country. Audiences enjoyed producer Michael Bay's rebooted take on the popular franchise, though critics didn't treat it too kindly. It didn't matter what they had to say though, as Paramount proudly announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 for June 6, 2016. That's a full two years for the filmmaking team to get it right!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is finally in theaters this weekend, and to celebrate, Paramount and Platinum Dunes have released 25 hi-res photos featuring an entire cast of iconic characters. We get some great new shots of Mikey, Donnie, Leo and Raph as they show off their martial arts skills. There are new images of both Splinter and Shredder, giving us a better look at the Sensei and the villain. And, of course, we get more of Megan Fox as April O'Neil in her yellow jacket and green nail polish. Will Arnett, who plays Channel 6 cameraman, and William Fichtner, who plays bad guy scientist and billionaire Eric Sachs, are also along for the ride. Plus, this latest batch of photos offers a chance to check out some of the cool set designs. Especially impressive is Master Splinter's wall of boomboxes inside his training dojo. Check them all out here:

After what seems like a very long wait, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is finally in theaters this weekend. And while some fans will find a number of reasons to dislike this latest live action incarnation of the hugely popular franchise, they won't be able to deny how much fun the actual turtles are once these four brothers arrive on screen displaying their individual skills and personalities. Its been a long road for director Jonathan Liebesman and Platinum Dunes producers Bradley Fuller and Andrew Fuller, one that has been rife with controversy and sometimes pure hatred from hardcore Tmnt enthusiasts who truly believed the property was about to face a wrecking ball.
Well, the smoke has cleared and we've seen the movie. It's actually quite a lot of fun and not the abomination many feared. We recently caught up with the directing and producing trio to chat about the finished movie...

After being introduced to Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last week, Paramount Pictures has released a new featurette focusing on Megan Fox's April O'Neil. The actress explains that April has a closer connection to these mutant brothers than she first expects, while director Jonathan Liebesman reveals that April wants to prove herself as a serious journalist.
Take a look at this featurette, which includes new footage of the Turtles' first meeting with April, where they try to intimidate her into keeping their identities a secret.

I’m pretty sure no one is excited about the new Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The character design, casting decisions, rumored changes to the origin story, even recent posters have elicited jeers from fans, especially those of us who grew up reading the comics and/or watching the original series and movies (Like, why did they change Irma’s* name to “Taylor” and cast Abby Elliott? Fuck that noise). Cinema Blend reports that at a press conference last Friday, Megan Fox, who plays April O’Neil for some reason known only to God, responded to a a question about the backlash and had some choice words for fanboys (and girls):
"Let me tell you something about those people. How much money did Transformers 4 make? Exactly. Those people can complain – they all go to the theater. They're gonna love it – and if they don't love it,...

With the finished product hitting theaters in exactly one week, Paramount Pictures has debuted 11 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett are seen taking direction from filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman on the set of this action-packed reboot, including new scenes that haven't been revealed before, which may offer a few minor spoilers, so watch at your own risk.
One scene in particular features April O'Neil holding what appears to be a large vial of green ooze, as she threatens to drop it off a rooftop. It isn't quite clear what is happening, since there is no sound, but it is intriguing nonetheless. Vern Fenwick is also seen sneaking photos inside the Turtles' lair, while commenting on how much this story about four mutant turtles is really worth.

Although the summer movie season is winding down to a close, one of the last big summer tentpoles arrives in theaters one week from today, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. To get fans ready for these heroes in a half-shell, Paramount has released a new featurette that introduces fans to Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), the News Channel 6 cameraman for April O'Neil (Megan Fox). Along with never-before-seen footage, this featurette includes an interview with Arnett, who reveals that Vern reluctantly helps the Turtles and April O'Neil defeat the nefarious Shredder (William Fichtner) and his Foot Soldiers.
If that isn't enough turtle footage for you, we also have five new TV spots with more footage from director Jonathan Liebesman's action-adventure, arriving in theaters August 8.
