Had a fight scene with Mel Gibson that was cut from Lethal Weapon (1987).

Started out as a bit player in a few moderately successful horror films in the early to mid-'80s, but has since risen to more prominent roles in bigger-scale films, often starring with 'Eddie Murphy'. His first major starring role in Juwanna Mann (2002).

He was picked to play the Voodoo Maestro from Scooby-Doo after Anthony Anderson turned down the role due to schedule conflicts with Kangaroo Jack.

Is of African American and Dominican descent.

He portrayed the Green Ranger in Haim Saban's unaired pilot "BIO-MAN".
