The Facts Of Life Cast: Where The Actors Are Now
Image
You take the good, you take the bad, and there you have... nine seasons and over 200 episodes of one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. Spun out of NBC's other wildly popular series "Diff'rent Strokes," "The Facts of Life" followed the goings-on at a girl's boarding school in upstate New York. The series became a fast hit, thanks to its chipper tone and uplifting sense of humor, as well as the performances from its cast of talented young actors -- many of whom went on to achieve major success in the film and television industry.

Whether they only stayed in the main cast during its experimental first season, joined as a replacement of sorts in the final installments, or played a part in all of its 200-plus episodes, the actors embarked on a range of professional journeys. Some retired immediately afterward, pursuing careers ranging from music and...

‘Good American Family’ Scores Third Biggest Finale Audience To Date For A Hulu Original
Image
Good American Family ended its run with a sizable audience on Disney+ and Hulu.

The finale drove 6.3M globally in its first six days of streaming, making it the biggest finale of the year across the two streamers, per Disney.

In fact, Disney also says its the third most-viewed finale ever for a Hulu Original, though the company didn’t give details on the top two finales for comparison.

Good American Family, which dramatizes the headline-capturing adoption of Natalia Grace, did appear to be generating quite a bit of buzz for Disney, consistently ranking in the top five on the Hulu Top 15 Today list every day since launch. That success carried over into social platforms as well, where the series scored the most TikTok engagements, shares, and new followers of all scripted Hulu Originals in 2025.

Told from multiple points of view, as a means to explore issues of perspective, bias,...

“Good American Family” stars Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass and Imogen Faith Reid as the Barnett family. Per the logline, the series follows “a Midwestern couple who adopts a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. The actress is currently starting in Good American Family, a brand new drama on Hulu whose first two episodes were made available on March 19.

'Good American Family' Release Schedule
Image
While the ID Channel docuseries The Curious Case of Natalia Grace aired its final episode on Max back in January, Hulu's latest miniseries Good American Familymeans the infamous true story it's based on is far from over. The streaming service will continue to unravel the contentious case through this new dramatized retelling featuring Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo and Creep's Mark Duplass, as Kristine and Michael Barnett — Natalia's adoptive parents, who start to believe the orphan is actually much older than she claims to be.

Previously dubbed Orphan, the show will reexamine the captivating and real tale of Natalia Grace, a young Ukrainian girl with a rare form of dwarfism called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita. The genetic disorder affects an individual's bone growth, resulting in short stature and skeletal abnormalities as well as vision and hearing impairments. For Natalia, the uncommon condition brings her age into question for the Barnett family.

The actress’ first television leading role since “Grey’s Anatomy” finds her in a pickle as her altruistic heart is put to the test. Based on the true story of Natalia Grace, the eight-episode series attempts to tell the story from multiple perspectives, causing viewers to second guess themselves along with the characters.

Ellen Pompeo Is "Blessed" in Trailer for Hulu's Natalia Grace Series
Image
The story behind Natalia Grace may finally be closed on the ID Channel docuseries The Curious Case of Natalia Grace that came to an end last month, but the saga continues thanks to Hulu and their new dramatization of events in Good American Family. The eight-part miniseries stars Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo and Creep's Mark Duplass as Kristine and Michael Barnett, the parents who adopted Grace from Ukraine in 2010.

A new trailer for the series (seen below) showcases what's to come from the Hulu original, which bares a striking resemblance to 2009's Orphan, which, contrary to popular belief, was not based on Grace's story. "I've always considered myself blessed. I've known I was put on this Earth to build a world where all kids can feel safe," Pompeo says as the trailer begins. From there we see Imogen Faith Reid in her acting debut as Grace. "Are you...

Ellen Pompeo Narrates a New Story With Natalia Grace Series Trailer

Ellen Pompeo’s familiar voiceover launches a new story with the anticipated trailer arrival for Good American Family.

Hulu’s ‘Good American Family’ Trailer Scripts the Curious Case of Natalia Grace — Watch
Image

“My mother’s star still shines so bright. Annika Marks & Jenny O'Hara in Dark Comedy 'Killing Eleanor' Trailer
Camryn Manheim, David Eigenberg, Jane Kaczmarek, Chris Mulkey, Jenny O'Hara, Thomas Sadoski, Annika Marks, and Betsy Brandt in Killing Eleanor (2020)
"I wanna be still, the way I want to get still." 1091 Pictures has released an official trailer for an indie, very dark comedy titled Killing Eleanor, which premiered at the Scad Savannah Film Festival and St. Louis Film Festival last year. A new film from director Rich Newey, this off-beat dramedy involves two women who strike up a friendship and a deal to help each other get through, or get out of, life. A terminally-ill old lady convinces a self-destructive pain killer addict to help kill her, in exchange for clean urine. Their right to die odyssey is filled with complications as Eleanor's past and Natalie's lies catch up with them. Uultimately, helping Eleanor die with dignity might just teach Natalie to live with dignity. Annika Marks co-stars with Jenny O'Hara, and with a cast including Jane Kaczmarek, Betsy Brandt, Thomas Sadoski, Camryn Manheim, and Chris Mulkey. Seems like...

20/20: ABC Explores Murder of Sitcom Star Rebecca Schaeffer (My Sister Sam)
If you watched television in the late 1980s, you probably remember the My Sister Sam TV show on CBS. The sitcom revolves around San Francisco freelance photographer Samantha "Sam" Russell (Pam Dawber). Sam's world is turned upside down when her 16-year-old sister, Patti (Rebecca Schaeffer), comes to live with her. Others in the cast include Jenny O'Hara, Joel Brooks, and David Naughton. Executive produced by Diane English (pre-Murphy Brown), the series did well enough in its first season to be renewed but the ratings saw a big decline in year two and was cancelled in May 1988 with 12 installments left unaired.

While My Sister Sam didn't last, it looked clear that Schaeffer was destined for bigger things. Tragically, in July 1989, the actress was fatally shot by an obsessed fan in the doorway of her Los Angeles apartment. He had been stalking her for three years.
