Richard Greenberg, the Tony-winning playwright behind Take Me Out, has died. He was 67.

Greenberg died Friday of cancer at a nursing home in Manhattan, his brother, Edward Greenberg, told The Washington Post.

He and Robert Falls, a friend and theater director, had been working for years on an adaptation of Philip Barry’s Holiday that is to premiere in February at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.

“For over 30 years, it’s been one of life’s great pleasures to know Rich and his writing,” Falls wrote on Bluesky. “Dazzling, humane, wildly funny. … His kindness was real. His loss is enormous.”

Born on Feb. 22, 1958, in East Meadow, New York, Greenberg graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Princeton University. He briefly attended Harvard for graduate school but opted to attend Yale University’s drama school, enrolling in its playwriting program.

Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower opened up about the odd emotions he felt, after wrapping up his scenes for the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix show. Bower will be reprising his villainous role as Vecna/Henry Creel, who was first introduced as the show’s main antagonist in Season 4.

Per ScreenRant, during a recent appearance at MegaCon Orlando, Bower recalled what it was like filming his final Vecna scenes for Stranger Things Season 5. He admitted that he got weirdly emotional because he didn’t really want to say goodbye. "Somebody took a photo of me after we finished the last scene and I just looked like a man that's just been carrying so much weight for so long," he shared. "I was in tears, it was weird, I didn't want to say goodbye, but I definitely was ready to put down what I had been doing for some time.

The three-time Golden Globe nominee announced a 20th anniversary soundtrack concert, which will happen March 29, 2025 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, benefitting homeless shelter The Midnight Mission. Tickets are now available on Ticketmaster.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has teased the return of two original stars for new episodes in season 13, hinting at when the show is going to return. The horror anthology series is best known for having familiar actors in different roles throughout every season, despite the stories being told taking place within the same terrifying universe. The cast of American Horror Story season 12, subtitled Delicate, saw the return of stars like Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare, and Zachary Quinto, all of whom have appeared as different characters across multiple seasons of the show.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter (via TVLine), Murphy teased that Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson might be coming back for American Horror Story season 13. Hinting the next season is going to come out "sooner than you think," the series creator hinted at the return of both stars, who have been coming back to play new characters since season 1, Murder House.

Matt and Ross Duffer struck gold when they created the supernatural drama Stranger Things for Netflix. That series is set in the 1980s, a period the Duffers are clearly enamored with. The show is coming to an end with a final season to air hopefully next year, but the brothers have other irons in the fire, including a new Netflix show called The Boroughs.

The Duffers will only be involved in a producing capacity; showrunning duties will fall to Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, the guys behind the canceled-too-soon series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Ben Taylor will direct several episodes including the pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But I still see the Duffers' fingerprints all over this show, which is about "a group of unlikely heroes" living in a retirement community who must "band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don't have — time.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creative minds behind the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, are working on a new show for the streamer. The project, which forms part of the duo's overall deal with the platform, has already signed up its first actors.
