Comes from a showbusiness background. His parents are both theatre
directors, with his father appearing in occasional television roles.
Whilst in Year 12 at school he won a role in "The Henderson Kids II"
(1987)_ and had to finish his course in drama and media production
by correspondence.
After starring in The Flying Doctors (1986) he enrolled in the Australian Academy of
Performing Arts.
