Did you know that Maine is the second most haunted state in America? At least, that’s what the trailer for the upcoming found footage film, McCurdy Point, says. Whatever lurks in the Maine wilderness is ready to ruin a group’s vacation in the film made by and starring members of the improv comedy troupe, The Groundlings.

In the film, “Four friends documenting a celebratory getaway to a remote cabin in the woods of Maine, only to find themselves pulled into something far more sinister.”

Maine is the second most haunted state in America with over 800 sightings a year. In 2023, a record 1,364 people went missing.

Several members of the fabled improv comedy troupe The Groundlings used that as a jumping off point for the found footage horror film McCurdy Point.

It follow four friends documenting a celebratory getaway to a remote cabin in the woods of Maine, only to find themselves pulled into something far more sinister.

Ryan Gaul (“Superstore”), Kiel Kennedy, Joey Krulock, Christian Noah Roberts, Allison Dunbar (“The Sopranos”), Patty Guggenheim (“Twisted Metal”), and Laird Macintosh (“The Mick”) star.
