Gh Spoilers: The Shocking Reveal Of Britt’s Twin And Rocco’s Paternity Twist
Image
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) name has been mentioned a lot lately, and there are many questions about Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) backstory coming up.

This could indicate a significant twist is coming, especially since we know Kelly Thiebaud will return in July; we just don’t know for sure who she’s playing.

Resurrection Or Recast?

With only a few weeks left until Kelly Thiebaud returns to Gh, the question remains: who will she portray; has the show found a way to resurrect Britt?

Even if they reverse her death caused by Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) hook stabbing and the poison, there’s still the issue of her having Huntington’s Disease, which has no cure.

The writers would need to claim Britt was misdiagnosed or something similar, as creating a fictional cure for a serious real-life illness would be inappropriate and likely unpopular with fans.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finola Hughes Celebrates Huge Milestone! 40 Years Playing Anna Devane
Image
‘General Hospital’ (Gh) spoilers commemorate Finola Hughes’ huge milestone as she celebrates 40 years of playing Anna Devane on the soap.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Devane Arrived In Port Charles In April 1985 As A Jewel Thief

Hughes joined the show when she was 25 years old, but that was after she danced with John Travolta in the 1983 film Staying Alive and created the role of Victoria the White Feline in the London production of Andrew Llyod Webber’s musical Cats.

Hughes was shocked when she won the pivotal role of Anna since the part had initially been created for an American actress.

On April 10, 1985, Gh introduced the iconic character Anna Devane. The evolution of Anna from bad** super spy to police commissioner has been exhilarating to watch. In an era of tremendously talented breakout stars on the soap, Anna quickly became a fan favorite.

Anna arrived in Port Charles as a jewel thief.

10 Underrated Witch Movies If You Love Practical Magic
Image
Famous witch movies like Practical Magic and The Craft explore different aspects of witchcraft, from family dynamics to darker occult themes. Practical Magic's blend of fantasy and romance resonates with audiences, while The Love Witch and The Lords of Salem take a darker approach to the genre. Whether it's horror, comedy, or romance, there's a witch movie for every taste, with Practical Magic set to receive a long-awaited sequel.

Practical Magic is one of the best movies about witches of the past several decades, but many witch films like it aren't recognized as often. Other famous movies that tackle the subject of witchcraft, like The Craft or The Blair Witch Project, focus on the more sinister aspects of the occult. While Practical Magic has some scary scenes, the most memorable parts of the story revolve around the character's interpersonal relationships. However, the visual aesthetic and atmosphere of the film...

Cult Favorite ‘The Love Witch’ Brings Witchcraft to Screambox
Anna Biller
Director Anna Biller‘s cult horror-comedy The Love Witch is now streaming on Screambox.

In the film, Elaine, a beautiful young witch, is determined to find a man to love her. In her gothic Victorian apartment, she makes spells and potions, and then picks up men and seduces them. However her spells work too well, and she ends up with a string of hapless victims. When she finally meets the man of her dreams, her desperation to be loved will drive her to the brink of insanity and murder.

“I wanted to make a movie about a witch because I think that every woman is made to feel like a witch by the men who don’t understand her: that is, mysterious, dangerous, different, abnormal,” said Anna Biller when the film was initially released. “Elaine, the main character, has men constantly freaking out around her because of her sexiness. But...

Will Eva Larue finally win a Daytime Emmy for her guest role on ‘The Young and the Restless’?
Image
It has been almost three decades since Eva Larue made a name for herself in daytime as Dr. Maria Santos on “All My Children.” But this year she could win her very first Daytime Emmy for a different role: Celeste Rosales on “The Young and the Restless.” She’s nominated for Best Guest Performer for her stint on the CBS soap. Do you think she’s due to take home the gold?

Larue played Maria on “AMC” off and on between 1993 and 2011 and earned two Emmy nominations: Best Supporting Actress in 1997 (she lost to Michelle Staffford for “Y&r”) and then Best Original Song in 2004 for co-writing “Dance Again with You” for “AMC.” But those were her only bids before now.

The Detour Season 2 Review
Six episodes were provided prior to broadcast.

All it took was ten episodes last year for The Detour to solidify itself as one of the funniest and most outlandish new comedies on TV, managing to cover topics like overtly racist roadside chain restaurants and the anxiety over failing as a parent in one economical, hilarious swoop. The show was over-the-top to the point of idiocy at times, but it was an idiocy with class, the kind of thing with a set-piece poop joke that you could laugh at guiltily, but also somehow feel the need to tell everyone who’d listen about the show’s well-pitched humor.

Season 2, I’m happy to report, is as bawdy and disgusting as ever (actually, on that last point, it blows anything in season 1 out of the water). The characters are established, the structure is simultaneously fresh (new setting, no road trip) and comfortably...

Two New Justice League Dark Clips Highlight Batman And Constantine
The two clips below from Justice League Dark see Etrigan make short work of the Demon's Three and Batman having a pretty unusual post-workout shave. While Etrigan is taking care of his demonic brethren, Constantine appears to be stealing...cash? Or was he looking for something else and just decided to pocket the money while he continued to search? That would certainly be very Constantine-esque. Justice League Dark is out on digital January 24, 2017 and blu-ray/DVD on February 7, 2017. Justice League Dark is directed by Jay Olivia and stars Matt Ryan, Camilla Luddington, Jason O'Mara, Jb Blanc, Ray Chase, Enrico Colantoni, Roger R. Cross, Jeremy Davies, Rosario Dawson, Brian T. Delaney, Alfred Molina, Jerry O'Connell, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Laura Post, Fred Tatasciore and Nicholas Turturro. It's rated R for Mature Content. Batman Assembles A New Team In This International Trailer For Justice League Dark
A different threat takes a different team. When Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League determine that they are ill equipped to deal with a new paranormal threat, Batman declares that John Constantine holds  their only chance at achieving victory. Joining them are Zatanna, Etrigan the Demon, Boston Brand and Swamp Thing.  That's quite the powerful team assembled, one that might even give the real Justice League a run for their money.  Surely they'll be enough to defeat Felix Faust and his dark minions. First Justice League Dark Clip Reveals Constantine's Poker Face
The latest DC All Access features a new clip from Justice League Dark, out on digital January 24, 2017 and blu-ray/DVD on February 7, 2017. Out of all the DC Comics superheroes (or anti-heroes in this case) John Constantine is probably the last person you want to play poker with, let alone try to cheat. Though we don't see how things turn out, I'm guessing things didn't go well for the demon (and I don't mean Etrigan). Also, as a bonus, the new DC All Access also has an inside look at the final chapter of Telltale's Batman game - The City of Light. Justice League Dark is directed by Jay Olivia and stars Matt Ryan, Camilla Luddington, Jason O'Mara, Jb Blanc, Ray Chase, Enrico Colantoni, Roger R. Cross, Jeremy Davies, Rosario Dawson, Brian T. Delaney, Alfred Molina, Jerry O'Connell, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Laura Post, Fred Tatasciore and Nicholas Turturro. It's rated R for Mature Content.

Joshua Reviews Anna Biller’s The Love Witch [Theatrical Review]
Take the Technicolor photography of classic ‘60s melodramas, mix vigorously with equal parts surrealism and Jean Rollin-esque eroticism and what does one get in return? Well, in so many words, one gets one of 2016’s most lavishly crafted experiments in genre and one of its most deliciously arch dramas.

The end result of the above mentioned mixture is a film entitled The Love Witch, a truly one of a kind film from one of a kind filmmaker Anna Biller. Witch introduces us to Elaine, a breathtakingly beautiful young witch on the hunt for love. Following up her underrated 2007 film, Viva, Biller takes to the world of witchcraft and cults for a film that sets its eyes as much on the world of ‘60s melodramas as it does the sexploitation films from just a decade later.

We first meet Elaine as she’s driving along the coast of Northern California...

Samantha Robinson in The Love Witch (2016)
‘The Love Witch’ Review: Anna Biller’s Technicolor Throwback Is a Spellbinding Feminist Delight
Samantha Robinson in The Love Witch (2016)
Say hello to your new obsession: A spellbinding homage to old pulp paperbacks and the Technicolor melodramas of the 1960s, Anna Biller’s “The Love Witch” is a throwback that’s told with a degree of perverse conviction and studied expertise that would make Quentin Tarantino blush. Shot in velvety 35mm and seen through the lens of a playfully violent female gaze, the film follows a beautiful, narcissistic young sorceress named Elaine (Samantha Robinson, unforgettable in a demented breakthrough performance) as she blows into a coastal Californian town in desperate search of a replacement for her recently murdered husband. Sex, death, Satanic rituals, God-level costume design, and cinema’s greatest tampon joke ensue, as Biller spins an archly funny — but also hyper-sincere — story about the true price of the patriarchy. There hasn’t been anything quite like it in decades.

Entrancingly self-possessed, “The Love Witch” announces itself with rare authority...

[Viff Review] The Love Witch
“According to the experts, men are very fragile.”

Shot in sumptuously lit 35mm, The Love Witch is a throwback to Hammer Horror films and Technicolor melodramas of the ‘50s and ‘60s, with set design and color schemes that seem to invoke the ghost of Jacques Demy, all in subservience to a decidedly retro ‘70s vibe with a contemporary setting. Only writer-director Anna Biller‘s second film, The Love Witch affirms not only her skill as a director, but as an auteur – Biller also produced and edited the film, and was responsible for every aspect of the production, art, and costume design, and even composed the score.

The film exists in extravagant sets and costumes that run the gamut from kitschy to dazzlingly beautiful, dresses bursting with color, and every background and set piece a delight. Harps float over a tea room of pastels and pink, eminently feminine; a medieval Renaissance...

Fall Horror Movie Preview: A Definitive Guide to the Season's Macabre Offerings
Bonnie Morgan in Rings (2017)
2Nd Update (9/23, 3:23 Pdt): An earlier version of this article listed Elle Evans as the actress who plays the title role in The Love Witch. That distinction in fact goes to Samantha Robinson. We regret the error. Update (9/22, 11:37 Pm Pdt): The same day this article was published, Paramount pushed back the release date for Rings from October 28 to February 3, 2017. Original Article: Fall has traditionally been viewed as the prime time of year for the horror film, but this summer was actually a pretty good one for the genre, with movies like The Conjuring 2, Lights Out, and the surprise smash Don't Breathe doing gangbusters business in the midst of blockbuster season. But the year's not over yet! With September in full swing, there are a number of worthwhile (and, yes, questionable) titles looming on the release calendar over the next three months. Below, you can find a rundown of 12 upcoming horror films,...

Watch: Full Trailer for Melodramatic 'The Love Witch' Horror Comedy
"She loved men... to death." Oscilloscope has released an official trailer (that's Nsfw) for a horror comedy called The Love Witch, written & directed by Anna Biller. The film is a tribute to 1960s pulp novels and Technicolor melodramas, which is why it looks the way it does, and is about a contemporary witch who uses spells and magic to get men to fall in love with her. But after she ends up sleeping with them, they all end up dead, which is not what she was hoping for but can't really control. Samantha Robinson stars as Elaine, with a cast including Elle Evans, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Dani Lennon, Lily Holleman, and Gian Keys. As funky as this seems, it actually has great reviews calling it "spellbinding & hilarious". Take a look. Sweet Talk Movie Review
Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Natalie Zea in Sweet Talk (2013)
Title: Sweet Talk Director: Terri Hanauer Starring: Natalie Zea, Jeffrey Vincent Parise, Lindsay Hollister, Karen Austin, Time Winters, John Glover An art piece that, if it were made at a certain time in the 1980s and leaned a lot more prurient would definitely co-star Mickey Rourke, “Sweet Talk” is a talky two-hander about romance and sexual desire, as played out in a rangy series of conversations over a 12-hour period between a phone sex operator and one of her customers. Billed as “as true as you want it to be” in an opening credits title card, this well-intentioned actors’ showcase, a metaphor for finding north on one’s compass, works more [ Read More ]

Exclusive: Natalie Zea Talks Sweet Talk
Natalie Zea in 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (2018)
Natalie Zea is having one hell of a 2013, shining in hit TV shows such as Justified, The Following, Under the Dome and even shooting a new Amazon Studios pilot entitled The Rebels. If that wasn't enough for one year, the talented actress also stars in the unique and compelling indie drama Sweet Talk, which debuts in limited release December 13 before arriving on VOD formats December 15. The actress delivers another terrific performance as Delilah, a phone sex operator who takes an unlikely journey through an intricate fantasy world with a struggling writer (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) looking for inspiration. I recently had the chance to speak with Natalie Zea over the phone about her experiences on the set, being glued to the phone all day, and much more.

I recently had the chance to see this, and I really loved it.

Natalie Zea: Oh, good! Thanks.
