As many suspected, it sounds as if the Dcu's premiere Green Lantern will be Aaron Pierre's John Stewart, at least by the end of the upcoming HBO superhero drama, Lanterns.

Speaking to CBS Morning, Dcu co-chair James Gunn confirmed that Stewart is the focal point of the story, despite other Green Lanterns being featured.

"We go into Supergirl and Lanterns next summer...It's basically John Stewart's story in a lot of ways, but with those other characters," said Gunn, referencing Guy Gardner and Hal Jordan.

Recently, James Gunn tried to clarify those comments, and now, James Hawes, who directed the Lanterns pilot, is doing the same.

Hawes recently spoke to Phase Hero about the release of The Amateur but also touched on his work on the Dcu's upcoming Green Lantern drama.

"The scripts have so much with, so much character, it's a buddy cop movie, played out in a True Detective, Fargo, No Country For Old Men naturalistic [way] and then somebody flies," exclaimed the British television director.

From “Mississippi Masala” to “Homeland” to Carrie Bradshaw’s land, Sarita Choudhury has lived an exciting and diverse life on screen. Choudhury plays Seema, one of Carrie Bradshaw’s closest friends on “And Just Like That,” and Seema shines as one of the strongest characters on the “Sex and the City” sequel. In fact, it’s hard to remember the city without Seema.

IndieWire sat down with Choudhury to discuss season 3 — all things sex, Seema, dating, love, Carrie, Aidan, and of course, the only city that matters, New York! Choudhury opens about her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Nicole Ari Parker.

And she also weighs in on comparisons between Seema and Samantha Jones, Kim Cattrall’s longtime “Sex and the City” missing-in-action mainstay (she reveals whether Samantha and Seema would get along). Choudhury also confesses the big risk she took for her “Ajlt” Zoom audition that probably got her the role.

DC Studios has attracted some exciting talent for the Dcu, though it could do with a few more A-listers. Fortunately, Jeff Sneider is reporting today that Laura Linney has joined the cast of HBO Max's Lanterns.

The Love Actually star has been the recipient of many awards, including three Emmys and two Golden Globes. She's also received three Academy Award nominations.

Who is Linney playing? Sneider isn't sure. However, Kyle Chandler is 59 and Linney is 61; taking that into account, it would make sense for her to take on the role of Carol Ferris, the love of Hal Jordan's life and the superhero known as Star Sapphire. The reporter acknowledged that it's a possibility on The Hot Mic podcast.

We wouldn't be surprised if she's powerless in the Dcu, unless the Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Indigo and Violet, Black, White, and Ultraviolet Corps from across the emotional spectrum have existed for years.

It's been nearly two years since we last caught up with Carrie Bradshaw and the gang in And Just Like That, but they're finally back with season 3 on HBO Max. When we last left Carrie in season 2, she and Aidan rekindled their romance, but just when things were heating up, he needed to return home to be with his children. He asks Carrie to wait for him for five years. Five years!

Carrie believes she's up for the task, but she quickly learns that long-distance relationships and limited communication might be harder than she anticipated. She even butts heads with Anthony over it, but we'll get to that! Elsewhere in the And Just Like That season 3 premiere, Miranda has a fling with guest star Rosie O'Donnell, and Seema makes a big decision.

After blowing up their central couple, And Just Like That has returned with a new chapter in its love story for Carrie and Aidan.

The sequel series had renewed the romance between Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her Sex and the City ex, but ended with the couple parting ways in the season two finale. Aidan (John Corbett) asked Carrie to wait five years so he could focus on being the primary parent to his youngest child. “We haven’t seen each other in 10 years and it went by like that (snaps his fingers),” Aidan told Carrie. When he repeated his five-year ask, he didn’t snap. “I already did and you didn’t see it; that’s how quick it was.”

Aidan was sure that the soulmates could make it work. Was it fair what he was asking of Carrie? Will Carrie wait?...

I can imagine a Carrie Bradshaw voiceover telling me that some things are just worth the wait. She’d be talking about a waiting list for a pair of great new shoes, an aging wine or a New York apartment, but we’d know that she was really telling us that women in their 50s, like her and her friends, were the subtext. This character loves a strained metaphor at least as much as she loves luxury accessories. And perhaps she’d try to persuade me that this metaphor also applies to her show, HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” reboot with the equally strained title “And Just Like That …,” which is returning Thursday for its third season in a wildly uneven run thus far.

As I approached watching this time around, I couldn’t help but wonder: How many chances are too many chances to grant a beloved franchise’s frenzied reboot?...

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury spoke with Andy Cohen for a town hall on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.

During the interview, the cast discussd working with Rosie O’Donnell in the new season and revealed that Michael Patrick King has been trying to get her on the show every season.

They also talked about the difference between filming sex scenes during the original show Sex & The City compared to now, and Kristin claimed she would come to set to make sure everything was ok for her castmates.
