    Producer and occasional director who, after working in France and Germany, befriended George Bernard Shaw after moving to England. Shaw gave him permission to film his plays, Pascal ultimately producing four of them. However, the stagy Caesar and Cleopatra (1945) turned out to be an expensive flop and all but ended his career.
