Pop superstars in Israel and Argentina are coming together for a global romcom series.

Noa Kirel and Agustín Bernasconi are starring in Noa, a fun, playful series in which, after months of a long-distance relationship, Noa travels to Argentina to meet her boyfriend. She then meets Tomy (Bernasconi), a young man trying to reconcile with his past and forge a new life away from music, all while Noa begins a journey of discovery in search of her musical identity, while dealing with the pressure of her parents and her new reality in Buenos Aires.

The 25-episode series is filming on location in Buenos Aires next month and brings together Dori Media Group founder Yair Dori, who originated the project, Werthein Group’s Dario Werthein, Argentinian indie Fam Contenidos and Israeli Bad Boy studio Sipur. Showrunners are Alejandro Cacetta and Mili Roque Pitt, and director is Mauro Scandolari.

It was an incredible night at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards with amazing performances from Beyonce Knowles and Ed Sheeran, along with Katy Perry, Madonna and Pharrell Williams, just to name a few.

Hosted by the uber-talented LL Cool J, there were a plethora of winners this evening (February 8) with Sam Smith leading the way by taking home four trophies in categories including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Paris-based MK2 has closed a raft of deals on Olivier Assayas’ Clouds of Sils Maria, starring Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart and Chloë Grace Moretz, ahead of its premiere in Competition at Cannes.

The film has sold to Italy (Good Films), Benelux (De Filmfreak), Germany (Nfp), Switzerland (Filmcoopi), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Korea (Tcast), Portugal (Leopardo Filmes), and ex-Yugoslavia (Continental Film).

It has also been acquired for the Middle East (Falcon), Turkey (Yeni Bir) and airlines (Encore). As previously announced IFC Films has taken Us rights. Les Films du Losange will release the film in France at the end of August.

“We’re in talks on a lot of other territories, notably Latin America, Scandinavia, Russia and the UK,” said MK2’s sales chief Juliette Schrameck.
