    • Con Pederson is known for 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), View from the Top (2003) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004).

  • He was an animator and a specialist in the use of animation techniques. He became best known for his work as one of the "special photographic effects supervisors" on Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968).
  • His first feature film work was on Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968). His work contributed to the film winning the Academy Award for Visual Effects although Kubrick was credited with the effects work (Kubrick's only Academy Award).
  • In 1971, he was the uncredited co-founder, with fellow animator, Robert Abel, of Robert Abel and Associates. They became famous for their groundbreaking and effects laden television commercials including the award-winning "Bubbles" commercial for the soft drink 7Up.
  • In 1999, he was one of the winners of The Winsor McKay Award for his contributions to animation.
  • He was a pioneer in the use of computer graphics in the entertainment industry for its applications in the production of television commercials.
