Brainstorm Media has acquired North American rights to “After All” a generational drama set in Austin, Texas, starring Penelope Ann Miller (“Carlito’s Way”) and Erika Christensen (“Will Trent”).

The indie movie directed by Kerstin Karlhuber (“Fair Haven”) and executive-produced by Christensen depicts the journey of a woman named Ellen (played by Christensen) who returns home to care for her ailing mother (played by Penelope Ann Miller) and estranged teenage daughter.

Zach Gilford (“The Purge: Anarchy”); David James Elliott (“Heels”); Mike O’Malley (“Snowpiercer”); Sierra McCormick (“American Horror Story”) and newcomer Kiara Muhammad also star.

The screenplay, based on a true story, is penned by Jack Bryant (“Fair Haven”).

“As three generations of women come together, they grapple with the challenges of reconnecting and discovering the strength to forgive,” according to the provided synopsis.

Brainstorm Media, which purchased “After All” from LA-based Sublimity Entertainment, is now planning a U.S. release for the film this fall.

Christopher Nolan's next film is officially titled The Odyssey and is sailing rapidly toward a Summer 2026 release date. An adaptation of Homer's epic poem of the same name, the upcoming film serves as Nolan's highly anticipated follow-up to 2023's Oppenheimer, which earned him his first Academy Award for Best Director. Naturally, a lot is riding on the success of Nolan's next film.

Thankfully, Nolan isn't compromising with his next film's cast. As usual, Christopher Nolan is stacking his next project with an all-star cast, and the latest additions include a few Nolan alumni. It’s been announced that Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, and Samantha Morton have joined The Odyssey, Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek poem.

Page played Ariadne in Inception, while Patel played Mahir in Tenet. Irwin is also a Nolan veteran, but you wouldn’t recognize his face. He voiced Tars in Interstellar and physically controlled the robot on-set. It was recently reported that he will once again be working with Benny Safdie after having the director play a sizable role in Oppenheimer. Variety is now reporting that John Leguizamo is now joining the cast of Nolan’s historical epic. When Universal Pictures officially announced the project last year, the studio described it as “a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology.” Production is slated to kick off in late February, and some reports state that this could be Nolan’s most expensive film to date.

With Bridgerton Season 4 still a ways away, who would blame fans for being too eager for updates about the much-awaited chapter? It's no news that the chapter will revolve around another Bridgerton chap, Benedict (Luke Thompson), and his love interest, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), whose status in society is a far cry from his. Nonetheless, these two won’t be the only focus as something’s coming for Season 3’s main couple, Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).

Christopher Nolan is known for his realism in movies and his passion for shooting practically whenever he can. The director of The Dark Knight trilogy has flipped a semi-truck longways, hung a plane vertically from another plane and even crashed a plane into a hanger for real when the logistics he calculated stated that it would actually be cheaper to do so instead of turning to CGI. Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of “The Odyssey” will be partly filmed in Sicily which, according to scholars, was a location for Odysseus’ wanderings in the epic composed by Homer around 8th century Bce.

Shooting of the Sicilian portion of Nolan’s “Odyssey” is expected to start in roughly two months on the island of Favignana, known as “goat island,” which is believed to be the place where Homer envisioned Odysseus landed with his motley crew to barbecue goats and stock up on food. The idyllic isle is part of the Egadi archipelago off of Sicily’s north-west coast.

Nolan – who is shooting “The Odyssey” using brand new Imax film technology – is also likely to film some of the big-budget epic in Sicily’s Eolian islands, according to several sources. But the bulk of the mythical action movie’s Sicily shoot will be in Favignana. The film’s other announced locations are the U.
