Holger Perfort, a quintessential character actor was known for his role (Karlsen) in Gabriel Axel's internationally acclaimed, Academy Awarded film Babette's Feast (1987). As a nonagenarian, he was recognized as Denmark's eldest working actor. His career spanned seven decades and numerous Danish theatrical productions, films and television work. Concurrent with his acting career from 1969- 1976 he served as chairman of the Danish Actors' Association.
