Chucky season 3 aired its finale at the start of May 2024, and even though series creator Don Mancini had already pitched his idea for season 4 to the network and Chucky himself requested viewer support, we learned last summer that Chucky – which aired on both Syfy and USA Network, in addition to streaming on the Peacock service – had been cancelled. Mancini has already promised that Chucky will return, whether he has his own TV show or not, and we know another movie is in development – but while we wait to see what’s next for the iconic killer doll, the three seasons of his TV series are set to receive a Chucky: The Complete Series steelbook Blu-ray release on September 23rd. Copies are available for pre-order on Amazon, and an image of the steelbook set can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Imagine doing something so innovative at work that you attract the attention of your area's greatest icon. That's what happened to David Lynch and Twin Peaks in the early 1990s, as it changed the television medium forever and captivated audiences everywhere, especially the entertainment industry. This is how Steven Spielberg came to be a fan and actually asked to direct an episode in Season 2, in fact. Series co-creator Mark Frost and writer Harley Peyton nearly got him to do it, as revealed in Reflections: An Oral History of Twin Peaks, by Brad Dukes, but, as fate would have it, it didn't work out.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Syfy's Reginald the Vampire.Just days after its season 2 finale aired on July 10, Syfy has canceled its horror-comedy Reginald the Vampire (via TVLine). Led by Jacob Batalon, who is known for his role as Ned Leeds in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the show charmed audiences with its unconventional take on the vampire trope. Batalon starred as the titular character, a man-turned-vampire who doesn't fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like he's not chiseled or 'classically handsome.'
The show's now final episode, titled Just Like Heaven, aired on July 10 and ended on a cliffhanger. Despite forgiving Uriel (Max Montessi) for his murderous actions, Reginald finds himself trapped in a heavenly loop with Sarah (Em Haine), while a ghostly Mike (Ryan Jinn) grants Todd (Aren Buchholz) a fleeting moment of closure. While unlikely, some fans on social media are hoping...

The Jacob Batalon-starring vampire-comedy series “Reginald the Vampire” returned to Syfy for Season 2 on May 8, but we’ve learned today that we won’t be getting a third season.
Syfy has cancelled “Reginald the Vampire,” Deadline reports today.
The short-lived series “followed Reginald Andres (Jacob Batalon), who, in a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires, tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero.”
In this year’s second season, “Reginald Andres finally got his life together – when he was turned into a vampire. While he doesn’t fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like – he’s not chiseled or classically handsome – Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?), and his co-worker/former girlfriend.”

Horror comedy Reginald the Vampire is not being renewed for a third season at Syfy, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Chucky season 3 just aired its finale last night – but when it comes to genre icons like Chucky, horror fans usually start asking “When is the next sequel coming?” as soon as they finish watching the most recent one… or in this case, they’re asking, “When is the next season coming?” or “Is there going to be another season at all?” Series creator Don Mancini recently said that he has already pitched the idea of Chucky season 4, but it hasn’t been officially ordered yet. But if fans want to show their support for the idea of the show being renewed, there is a way they can let the higher-ups know they want to see Chucky season 4. That came in the final moments of the finale, when Chucky took a moment to announce that he’s running for “a fourth consecutive term” and donations can be made by calling 1-...

Chucky season 3 had to be split in half due to the writers and actors strikes, with the first four episodes (read our review Here) airing on Syfy and USA Network (as well as the Peacock streaming service) back in October. Production resumed at the end of November, and the second half of the season will begin airing on April 10th – so now that we’re closing in on the end of season 3, series creator Don Mancini is, of course, fielding questions about the possibility of a fourth season. During an interview with The Direct, Mancini confirmed that season 4 has already been pitched!
When the subject of season 4 came up, Mancini said, “There’s very little I can say about that. I can’t tell you my idea for Season 4, but I’m really excited about it. I already pitched it to the network. So fingers crossed because it’s something I really like to do.

Syfy has revealed the official trailer and key art for the second season of Reginald the Vampire, which will premiere on May 8, 2024, at 10 p.m. on Syfy.
Reginald Andres finally got his life together – when he was turned into a vampire.
While he doesn’t fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like – he’s not chiseled or classically handsome – Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?), and his co-worker/former girlfriend.
A show with a lot of heart and just enough blood, Reginald the Vampire proves the undead life is just as complicated as life itself.
The series stars Jacob Batalon, Em Haine (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Mandela Van Peebles (Mayor of Kingstown), Savannah Basley (SurrealEstate), Marguerite Hanna (Ashley Weeks), Aren Buchholz (Supernatural), and Georgia Waters...

David Lynch and Mark Frost’s iconic “Twin Peaks” surreal series had to be pulled back down to earth by network executives, especially when it came to providing a resolution for the central mystery.
The beloved series aired on ABC from April 1990 to June 1991; the show was later resurrected by Showtime with 2017’s “Twin Peaks: The Return.” Prequel film “Fire Walk With Me” centered around the events prior to “Twin Peaks,” which opens with high school character Laura Palmer’s murder.
According to co-creator Frost, ABC threatened to “stop sending us money” for production if Season 2 did not provide some resolution to Laura Palmer’s killing. Frost told Variety that Lynch would ideally have preferred for the mystery to “go on forever.”
“We literally had a gun to our head from the network,” Frost said. “As I recall, they were just going to stop sending us money if we didn’t deliver this.

Production resumed at the end of November, and the second half of the season will begin airing on April 10th. With that date just a few weeks away, a batch of first look images have arrived online to give us a preview of what the new episodes have in store for us. One of those images can be seen above, and the rest can be found at the bottom of this article.

The third season of USA and Syfy’s “Chucky” isn’t the only returning series this Spring. Season two of Syfy’s “Reginald the Vampire” will officially launch this May, per Deadline.
The Jacob Batalon-starring “Reginald the Vampire” returns to SyFy on May 8 at 10pm.
As for what to expect from the second season? “Reginald Andres finally got his life together when he was turned into a vampire. While he doesn’t fit into the stereotypical expectations of what a vampire looks like – he’s not chiseled or classically handsome – Reginald has found his place amongst an unlikely cohort that includes the cool vampire who sired him, the former vampire chieftain turned unexpected ally (or is she?) and his co-worker/former girlfriend.”
Marguerite Hanna, Mandela Van Peebles (Mayor of Kingstown), Em Haine (Fargo), Aren Buchholz (Supernatural), Savannah Basley (SurrealEstate), and Georgia Waters (Siren) co-star.

Don Mancini, who has written every film in the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise (except the remake) and directed a few of them, developed the TV series Chucky with producer David Kirschner – and he has made it clear that he enjoys casting actors in multiple roles. For example, Devon Sawa has already played four different characters over the course of the TV show’s three seasons. Now Entertainment Weekly has learned that legendary filmmaker John Waters is the latest person to play two different roles in this franchise. Having previously played Pete Peters, a tabloid photographer who got dissolved by acid in 2004’s Seed of Chucky, Waters has now been added to the cast of Chucky season 3, where he’ll be playing Wendell Wilkins, “the reclusive creator of the Good Guy dolls, who gets drawn into the psychopathic Chucky’s tangled web”.

A few months ago, Universal Studios announced that one of the haunted houses that would be part of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event at the Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood resorts would be inspired by the killer doll Chucky. This haunted house is called Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count – and in a newly released video, Chucky himself promotes the attraction! You can check it out in the embed above.
Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count casts the killer doll as the star of his very own haunted house for the first time. A true sadistic killer, Chucky has been mired in the agony of disrespect he feels from his peers at not being taken seriously. Thus begins his quest to turn his haunted house into a living slaughterhouse by killing every person who enters.

Devon Sawa played three different roles across the first two seasons of the Chucky TV series, and in season 3 he’s taking on a fourth role: President James Collins. Chucky the killer doll ends up in the White House in this season (he has promised that “D.C. is gonna get Chucked up”), and in a new behind-the-scenes featurette, we get a tour of the Oval Office courtesy of Sawa. You can watch it in this X / Twitter embed:

Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan shares some sentimental thoughts about the show's infamous season 2 finale. Co-created by Mark Frost and David Lynch, Twin Peaks turned the investigation of Laura Palmer's murder into two landmark seasons, a feature film, tie-in books, and an acclaimed revival that came out in 2017. In the process, MacLachlan's Dale Cooper also became one of television's most memorable agents. But over the course of its memorable run, which helped to alter the medium, the seminal series had a few specific standouts, such as the second installment's closing episode.
MacLachlan posted on Twitter to commemorate the anniversary of the Twin Peaks season 2 finale, which aired on June 10, 1991. In his tweet, which is included below, he includes a short clip that includes some significant scenes from the show and makes plenty of playful references to the episode itself. Check out the tweet below:
Feeling sentimental lately; there must be something in the air.

As announced a few days ago, the Chucky TV series will be returning for a third season on Syfy and USA Network – and in a new interview shared by USA Network, franchise mastermind Don Mancini confirmed that Chucky season 3 has largely been mapped out already. We might even see more familiar faces from the Child’s Play / Chucky franchise when the show returns!
Mancini has always had a lot of Chucky-related ideas waiting on standby, and he confirmed that if Chucky hadn’t been renewed for season 3 he would have started trying to get another movie together to bring the ideas he had for the season to the screen that way. SyFy had some excellent news for fans of Chucky and Reginald the Vampire on Sunday.
The cable network renewed Chucky for Season 3 and Reginald the Vampire for Season 2.
We have to admit, we were a bit worried about the future of both shows, especially given that Chucky was previously picked up for its second as the freshman season was airing.
SyFy shared in a press release that Chucky ranks as a top-10 cable drama for 2022 in the 18-49 demo with a week of DVR factored.

Syfy has picked up new seasons of two of its horror-inflected series.
The NBCUniveral cable network has renewed Chucky, the continuation of the long-running movie franchise, for a third season, and vampire comedy Reginald the Vampire for a second. (Chucky also airs on sister channel USA Network.)
