Update: Rep. Liz Cheney (R-wy) said that former President Donald Trump tried to reach out to a January 6th Committee witness, who has not yet been heard from at the hearings, and that the incident has been reported to the Justice Department.

“We will take any effort to influence witness testimony very seriously,” Cheney said toward the end of Tuesday’s hearing.

Cheney said that the witness “declined to answer” Trump’s call, but instead referred the matter to their attorney, who then contacted the committee.

“This committee has supplied that information to the Department of Justice,” Cheney said.

She said that Trump made the call after the last committee hearing, in which Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified.

The committee displayed a text exchange from Jan. 4 between White House Ellipse rally organizer Kylie Kremer and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell in which the pair discussed secret plans to have Trump call for protesters to march to a second location, either the Supreme Court or Capitol on Jan. 6. Kremer urges Lindell to keep the plans secret, since they did not have permits for the march.

In the preface of the Contract With Black America that Ice Cube published in late August — amidst the ongoing global civil-rights uprising — professor and economist Darrick Hamilton wrote about what the 22-page document hoped to accomplish. Encouraged by the reinvigorated movement he’d seen around the world, Hamilton wrote that “younger generations and social movements may be redefining economic good to embrace the principles of morality, humanity, and sustainability,” and that “This Contract with Black America is a patriotic pathway to promote our shared prosperity and achieve racial economic justice.

When a senior adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign thanked Ice Cube for working with the White House on a plan for Black America, it immediately triggered questions of who Ice Cube was supporting in 2020.

Ice Cube explained shortly afterward on Twitter that he was contacted by both parties about his Contract with Black America, which includes an array of policy proposals, including judicial reform, lending reform and FCC licensing.

President Donald Trump has blamed the Democratic minority in Congress for three shutdowns of the federal government this year alone, but there was a time not so long ago that he would have held himself responsible for that turn of events.

Back in the fall of 2013, when Barack Obama oversaw a 17-day shutdown of federal agencies in a battle with congressional Republicans over raising the debt ceiling, the then-real estate mogul and host of “The Apprentice” took the president to task in an interview on “Fox & Friends.”

Washington — White House officials are reportedly “terrified” of what Omarosa Manigault Newman has in store next for the promotional tour for her new book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.”

Washington — The campaign of President Donald Trump is taking legal action against Omarosa Manigault Newman, claiming that she violated a 2016 non-disclosure agreement with the release of her new book.

“Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Omarosa Manigault-Newman, with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign,” a company official confirmed to Variety.

The legal action is being filed with the American Arbitration Association, a campaign aide told the Associated Press. The Daily Caller confirmed the report, and a campaign official told the site, “President Trump is well known for giving people opportunities to advance in their careers and lives over the decades, but wrong is wrong, and a direct violation of an agreement must be addressed and the violator must be held accountable.”

Omarosa continues her drip-drip release of tape recordings of President Donald Trump and his staff as she plugs her new book, Unhinged, on TV news programs.

This morning, visiting CBS This Morning, she unveiled tape of Trump campaign staffers Katrina Pierson and Lynne Patton talking to her about that rumored tape of Trump using the n-word during Apprentice shooting. In the tape, a voice that sounds like Pierson is heard saying, in re Trump, “he said it…No, he said it. He’s embarrassed.”

Pierson and Patton had fired back in a statement:

No one ever denied the existence of conversations about a reported ‘Apprentice’ tape.

Of course there were multiple discussions about it…because Omarosa was obsessed with it.

What has been definitively refuted is that we never had a call confirming that Frank Luntz, or anyone else, directly heard Donald J. Trump use derogatory language on this alleged tape.

Omarosa Manigault Newman said she had no choice but to tape conversations while she worked for the Trump administration in order to protect herself from lies which she says were rampant.

“Yes, I’m the kind of person who covers her own back. In Trump World, everyone lies. Everyone says one thing one day and they change their story the next day. I wanted to have this type of documentation so that in the event I found myself in this position where, as you said, they’re questioning my credibility,” she said in an interview with “CBS This Morning.”

Omarosa was on set to talk about the growing speculation that a tape exists of President Trump using the N-word. The former reality show contestant also revealed new audio of various Trump campaign staffers talking about its existence and how to handle any potential fallout if it ever were released publicly.
