Trump’s Own Campaign Manager Blamed Him for Jan 6. Death, New Texts Show
Image
The Jan. 6 committee revealed texts on Tuesday from former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale blaming Trump for the death of a protester on Jan. 6.

In a text exchange between Parscale and Donald Trump’s national campaign spokesperson, Katrina Pearson, Parscale laments that a woman is dead. When Pearson tells him, “You do realize this was going to happen,” Parscale responds, “Yeah if I was Trump and knew my rhetoric killed someone.” Parscale continues, “This is about Trump pushing for uncertainty in our country … A sitting president asking for civil war...

Donald Trump Attempted To Contact January 6th Committee Witness Last Week; Phone Call Reported To Justice Department; Liz Cheney Says At Hearing: “We Will Take Any Effort To Influence Witness Testimony Very Seriously”
Image
Update: Rep. Liz Cheney (R-wy) said that former President Donald Trump tried to reach out to a January 6th Committee witness, who has not yet been heard from at the hearings, and that the incident has been reported to the Justice Department.

“We will take any effort to influence witness testimony very seriously,” Cheney said toward the end of Tuesday’s hearing.

Cheney said that the witness “declined to answer” Trump’s call, but instead referred the matter to their attorney, who then contacted the committee.

“This committee has supplied that information to the Department of Justice,” Cheney said.

She said that Trump made the call after the last committee hearing, in which Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified.

Breaking: Former Pres. Trump tried to call a witness in Jan. 6 committee investigation, Liz Cheney says.

"That person declined to answer or respond to Pres.

Trump’s Team Said His Call for Capitol March Was a Surprise. They Lied
Image
The Jan. 6 committee revealed texts on Tuesday from rally organizers discussing plans to have Donald Trump direct protesters to march to the Capitol or Supreme Court.

The committee displayed a text exchange from Jan. 4 between White House Ellipse rally organizer Kylie Kremer and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell in which the pair discussed secret plans to have Trump call for protesters to march to a second location, either the Supreme Court or Capitol on Jan. 6. Kremer urges Lindell to keep the plans secret, since they did not have permits for the march.

Exclusive: Witness Claims Trump’s Chief of Staff Was on Phone Call Planning Jan. 6 March on Capitol
Image
Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff and a national campaign spokesperson were involved in efforts to encourage the president’s supporters to march on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. That’s according to a person who says he overheard a key planning conversation between top Trump officials and the organizers of the Jan. 6 rally on the White House Ellipse — and has since testified to House investigators about the phone call.

Trump and his allies have tried to minimize his role in calling his supporters to the Capitol and argue...

Jan. 6 Organizers Used Anonymous Burner Phones to Communicate with White House and Trump Family, Sources Say
Image
Some of the organizers who planned the rally that took place on the White House Ellipse on Jan. 6 allegedly used difficult-to-trace burner phones for their most “high level” communications with former President Trump’s team.

Kylie Kremer, a top official in the March for Trump group that helped plan the Ellipse rally, directed an aide to pick up three burner phones days before Jan. 6, according to three sources who were involved in the event. One of the sources, a member of the March for Trump team, says Kremer insisted the...

Ice Cube Tries to Explain What in the Hell He Was Thinking
Image
In the preface of the Contract With Black America that Ice Cube published in late August — amidst the ongoing global civil-rights uprising — professor and economist Darrick Hamilton wrote about what the 22-page document hoped to accomplish. Encouraged by the reinvigorated movement he’d seen around the world, Hamilton wrote that “younger generations and social movements may be redefining economic good to embrace the principles of morality, humanity, and sustainability,” and that “This Contract with Black America is a patriotic pathway to promote our shared prosperity and achieve racial economic justice.

Ice Cube Explains Why He Worked With Donald Trump’s Team, But Draws Pushback In Heat Of 2020 Presidential Race
Image
When a senior adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign thanked Ice Cube for working with the White House on a plan for Black America, it immediately triggered questions of who Ice Cube was supporting in 2020.

Ice Cube explained shortly afterward on Twitter that he was contacted by both parties about his Contract with Black America, which includes an array of policy proposals, including judicial reform, lending reform and FCC licensing.

“Both parties contacted me,” he wrote. “Dems said we’ll address the Cwba after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the Cwba.”

Responding to criticism that he was now “working for the Darkside,” Ice Cube wrote, “Every side is the Darkside for us here in America. They’re all the same until something changes for us. They all lie and they all cheat but we can’t afford not to...

Joe Biden Chides Donald Trump For Photo Op Response To George Floyd Death: “More Interested In Power Than In Principle”
Image
Joe Biden’s speech at Philadelphia City Hall on Tuesday tried to show a contrast to the way that President Donald Trump responded to the protests and discord following the death of George Floyd, as the presumptive Democratic nominee said that he would not “fan the flames of hate.”

“I will seek to heal the racial wounds that have long plagued this country – not use them for political gain,” Biden said.

“I’ll do my job and take responsibility. I won’t blame others. I’ll never forget that the job isn’t about me,” he said.

As Trump vowed to use militaristic force to respond to unrest in cities across the country, Biden’s speech emphasized the need for empathy and to address the nation’s racial wounds.

“The country is crying out for leadership,” Biden said. “Leadership that can unite us. Leadership that brings us together. Leadership that...

Howie Mandel in Deal or No Deal (2005)
Docuseries About Black Republican Women In Works By Truly Original
Howie Mandel in Deal or No Deal (2005)
Truly Original, the Emmy-winning production company behind unscripted hits such as Deal Or No Deal and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is developing a new docuseries focused on powerful, African American Republican women, such as Lynne Patton and Katrina Pierson. The project is currently casting and is yet to be pitched, but producers are eyeing potential premium cable and digital platforms.

In Truly Originals’ pitch letter, the company said during its initial research, it had “become clear that there is a real group of diverse women who are friendly with each other, have the same political beliefs, and can articulate the issues we’re facing in America right now. We would like to follow their day-to-day, capturing who they are at home, at work, and above all, understanding their political views and their strong sisterhood.”

Patton is a longtime Trump family aide and current Hud official. Her appearance during Michael...

That Time Trump Said the President Should Be Fired for a Government Shutdown (Video)
President Donald Trump has blamed the Democratic minority in Congress for three shutdowns of the federal government this year alone, but there was a time not so long ago that he would have held himself responsible for that turn of events.

Back in the fall of 2013, when Barack Obama oversaw a 17-day shutdown of federal agencies in a battle with congressional Republicans over raising the debt ceiling, the then-real estate mogul and host of “The Apprentice” took the president to task in an interview on “Fox & Friends.”

“If you say who gets fired, it always has to be the top,” Trump told co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck when she asked, “Apprentice”-style, who should get fired and bear the brunt of the responsibility for a shutdown.

Omarosa’s New Book: 7 Most Contentious Claims About Team Trump
Washington — White House officials are reportedly “terrified” of what Omarosa Manigault Newman has in store next for the promotional tour for her new book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.”

In interviews, she has claimed to have heard a tape, apparently made on the set of “The Apprentice,” in which Donald Trump uses the n-word multiple times.

He denies that claim, but it has again revived questions of whether such a recording actually exists, and on Tuesday, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she cannot guarantee that such audio will never surface.

In the book, Manigault Newman identifies Trump as her mentor and someone who had a huge role in shaping her public fame and persona, yet who, as the book title suggests, is now suffering a mental decline and is hugely unfit to occupy the Oval Office.

Like Trump, though, Manigault Newman has a penchant...

‘The Daily Show’: Omarosa Says She’s “Not Trolling” The White House With Secret Tapes
The Daily Show (1996)
Omarosa Manigault Newman continued to drag Donald Trump and the White House on The Daily Show in a very measured interview with Trevor Noah.

During her appearance on The Daily Show she, of course, continued her promotional blitz for her book Unhinged but Noah was fascinated with how she has managed to “out-Trump Trump” since she left the White House.

She talked about how she regrets being “totally complicit” while working at the White House and how they “lie to the American people every single day.”

“Every day he dismantles the dignity of that office,” she said of Trump.

But the real meat of the interview was why she released those secret tapes of her getting fired by John Kelly, and the discussion of the use of the N-word.

Omarosa, at the request of a team of lawyers, was being very careful about what she told Noah because Trump has threatened her with court action.

Trump Campaign Makes Legal Claim Against Omarosa Manigault Newman
Donald Trump
Washington — The campaign of President Donald Trump is taking legal action against Omarosa Manigault Newman, claiming that she violated a 2016 non-disclosure agreement with the release of her new book.

“Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Omarosa Manigault-Newman, with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign,” a company official confirmed to Variety.

The legal action is being filed with the American Arbitration Association, a campaign aide told the Associated Press. The Daily Caller confirmed the report, and a campaign official told the site, “President Trump is well known for giving people opportunities to advance in their careers and lives over the decades, but wrong is wrong, and a direct violation of an agreement must be addressed and the violator must be held accountable.”

Manigault Newman is in the midst of a promotional tour for her book,...

Donald Trump Campaign Triggers Legal Action Against Omarosa Over Book, Secret Tapes
Donald Trump
Donald Trump campaign has tweeted:

“Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. has filed an arbitration against Omarosa Manigault-Newman, with the American Arbitration Association in New York City, for breach of her 2016 confidentiality agreement with the Trump Campaign.”

The legal move comes as Omarosa’s Unhinged book tour and accompanying release of secret tapes she made of Trump and various staffers was clearly getting under Trump’s skin. This morning, in a tweet some might describe as “unhinged,” he described her as a “dog,” and a “crazed, crying lowlife” who he gave “a break” and “a job at the White House.”

He also has tweeted, while she’s book touring, that he knew she was “wacky” when he hired her to the White House

but hired her any way – $179K/year salary bankrolled by taxpayers – because she said nice things about him.

A campaign rep told AP Omarosa’s book, Unhinged:...

Unhinged (1982)
Omarosa Releases Recording Of Donald Trump Campaign Staff Discussing Alleged N-Word Use
Unhinged (1982)
Omarosa continues her drip-drip release of tape recordings of President Donald Trump and his staff as she plugs her new book, Unhinged, on TV news programs.

This morning, visiting CBS This Morning, she unveiled tape of Trump campaign staffers Katrina Pierson and Lynne Patton talking to her about that rumored tape of Trump using the n-word during Apprentice shooting. In the tape, a voice that sounds like Pierson is heard saying, in re Trump, “he said it…No, he said it. He’s embarrassed.”

Pierson and Patton had fired back in a statement:

No one ever denied the existence of conversations about a reported ‘Apprentice’ tape.

Of course there were multiple discussions about it…because Omarosa was obsessed with it.

What has been definitively refuted is that we never had a call confirming that Frank Luntz, or anyone else, directly heard Donald J. Trump use derogatory language on this alleged tape.

Omarosa on Why She Taped Conversations: ‘In Trump World, Everyone Lies’
CBS Mornings (2012)
Omarosa Manigault Newman said she had no choice but to tape conversations while she worked for the Trump administration in order to protect herself from lies which she says were rampant.

“Yes, I’m the kind of person who covers her own back. In Trump World, everyone lies. Everyone says one thing one day and they change their story the next day. I wanted to have this type of documentation so that in the event I found myself in this position where, as you said, they’re questioning my credibility,” she said in an interview with “CBS This Morning.”

Omarosa was on set to talk about the growing speculation that a tape exists of President Trump using the N-word. The former reality show contestant also revealed new audio of various Trump campaign staffers talking about its existence and how to handle any potential fallout if it ever were released publicly.

Trump Calls Omarosa a ‘Dog’ After CBS News Plays Another Secret Recording
Washington — President Donald Trump called Omarosa Manigault Newman a “dog” after CBS News aired another tape tied to the release of her new book, in which Manigault Newman and other campaign officials are heard discussing the fallout should a tape surface where Trump uses the “n-word.”

Manigault Newman’s book, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” is being published on Tuesday. On her publicity tour for the book, she has claimed that she heard a tape recorded from his days on “The Apprentice” in which he uses the racial slur multiple times.

Trump denies that claim and says that she “made it up,” and posted another tweet on Tuesday attacking Manigault Newman, who had a high level title and salary at the White House until she was fired in December.

“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House,...

Trump Responds to ‘The Apprentice’ Claim: ‘I Don’t Have That Word in My Vocabulary’
The Apprentice (2004)
President Donald Trump has responded to Omarosa Manigault Newman’s claim that there is a recording from the set of “The Apprentice” in which he uses the n-word, writing on Twitter that he doesn’t “have that word in my vocabulary.”

The president said that Mark Burnett, who produced “The Apprentice,” called him and assured him there are “no tapes of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa.”

He went on to assert that Manigault Newman made up the tape — she claimed three unnamed sources told her of the tape and its contents — and pointed to her “many recent quotes saying such wonderful and powerful things about me – a true Champion of Civil Rights – until she got fired” as evidence that her claims about him from her upcoming book, “Unhinged,” are only those of a disgruntled employee, as White House...

President Obama spoke out against Donald Trump at the G-7 summit in Japan on Thursday, saying that world leaders are shaken by the presumptive Gop nominee's campaign.
