Sony Pictures Classics has acquired the North American rights to James Vanderbilt’s Second World War thriller Nuremberg.

The historical drama stars Russell Crowe as German war criminal Hermann Goring and Rami Malek as Douglas Kelley, the American Army psychiatrist who interviewed Hitler’s right-hand man in jail after World War II ended. 5 gripping shows like From you need to binge-watch next

After an incredible third installment, the hit sci-fi horror series From was renewed for a 10-episode fourth season in November 2024, and fans have been buzzing with excitement ever since. Everyone wants to know what new horrors await the residents of the nightmarish town, but unfortunately, we won't be seeing this beloved show return to our screens until sometime next year.

From season 4 was confirmed for a 2026 release when the renewal was announced. Production on the fourth season is slated to begin this year in Nova Scotia, where the previous three seasons were shot, but a filming start date has not been revealed. Also, given that this show heavily utilizes special effects, we can likely expect a longer post-production period. This is likely the reason why we won't be seeing From season 4 until next year. It's the lengthy filmmaking process. While this is extremely disappointing for fans, we're expecting the wait...

Directed by Frédéric Jardin and from a screenplay written by Matt Alexander (which is actually a shared pseudonym for Mathieu Oullion and Alexandre Coquelle), Survive follows Julia and her loving husband who celebrate their son’s birthday on their boat in the middle of the ocean. When a violent storm nearly capsizes them, the family awakes in a desert land. Earth has undergone a tragic polarity reversal, draining water from the oceans. Survive review – smart, surrealist disaster flick filled with arresting dream-like imagery
Luc Besson
Low-budget limitations work in this French thriller’s favour, in which Earth is turned upside down

At one point in this smart, low-budget French disaster movie/post-apocalyptic thriller, teenager Ben (Lucas Ebel) pees into an unplumbed toilet dumped in the wasteland. It’s a moment emblematic of Frédéric Jardin’s film; it makes little practical sense, but is packed with arresting images and proceeds with something close to the dream logic of Luc Besson’s debut The Last Battle, and the great comic-book artist Moebius.

Ben is on a Caribbean family cruise with his revoltingly-in-love parents, Julia (Émilie Dequenne) and Tom (Andreas Pietschmann), and his just-plain-revolting older sister, Cassie (Lisa Delamar). After nervy whales graze their yacht, satellites fall burning through the atmosphere and a cataclysm begins, they awake to find their boat stranded on top of a promontory in an infinite desert. Go-getter dad Tom, who likes solutions, quickly...

Émilie Dequenne at an event for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
You don’t have to know nothing about science in order to enjoy Frédéric Jardin’s family-focused fantasy romp about the perils of magnetic pole reversal, but it helps.

Screened as part of Frightfest 2024, it follows doctor Julia (Émilie Dequenne), her husband Tom (Andreas Pietschmann) and their teenagers Cassie (Lisa Delamar) and Ben (Lucas Ebel), who are taking a boat trip to celebrate the latter’s 13th birthday. If you’re going to name your boat the Orca, like the one in Jaws, it could be said that you’re asking for trouble, but it’s not a shark that gets Julia into trouble in the water in the first sign that something is wrong. Later, when Cassie is video chatting with her boyfriend back home, a spectacular thunderstorm is taking place in the background. Whales progress past the boat in some number, away from their usual route – and then there are repeated.
