Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Every Main Character and Voice Actor
Image
The Spider-Man family of media is synonymous with some of the best actors in the business. The movies are iconic thanks to the stars who bring the stories to life, and the cartoons are legendary for some of the best line deliveries you’ll ever hear. However, unlike properties such as Batman, no one actor has truly embodied the wall-crawler or his amazing friends (or deadly enemies). So, Insomniac Games had their work cut out for them when it came time to cast for Marvel’s Spider-Man.

To say Insomniac knocked it out of the park with their selected voices would be an understatement, so of course they were primed to return for subsequent entries, including Spider-Man 2. The game is full of returning characters, many of whom are voiced by the same actors, but the main selling point are all the new faces. During the game, players will get...

‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ Star Opens Up About Peter Parker’s Face Change
Image
This will be a pretty interesting Fall for Marvel fans. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will spawn one new movie, ‘The Marvels’, and the second season of the ‘Loki’ Disney+ series. But apart from that, Spider-Man fans are looking forward to ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,’ the highly anticipated video game developed by Insomniac Games that serves as the sequel to 2018’s original ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ and its spin-off ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales,’ which was released in 2020.

The original ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’ game is the most successful first-party game ever released on PS4, with over 20 million copies sold. Two years later, when ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ was released as a launching title for PS5, the original game also received a remastered version for PS5, in which Peter Parker’s face was changed. The thing is that John Bubniak provided motion capture for the original release of the first game, and Ben Jordan replaced him in...

Colman Domingo joins Hasan Minhaj in “The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark” audio series
Hasan Minhaj
Today, Spotify, in partnership with Warner Bros. and DC, announced The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark will premiere on Tuesday, October 10 with all 8 episodes available exclusively on Spotify. The series will follow an unexpected adventure from the perspective of one of the most cunning DC Super-Villains in Gotham City, Edward Nygma voiced by Hasan Minhaj. Minhaj leads the cast, reprising his role from last year’s global sensation, Batman Unburied. You can check out a special video message from Hasan here.

Colman Domingo joins the cast as Batman, who begrudgingly teams up with Minhaj’s Riddler to track down a masked vigilante on the loose in Gotham City. The mysterious character is murdering notorious DC Super-Villains all over Gotham City, and all clues point to the suspect being the Caped Crusader himself. Now, with a target on his head, The Riddler is forced to break out of Arkham Asylum and team up with Batman.

Colman Domingo to Voice Batman Opposite Hasan Minhaj’s Riddler in Spotify Series
Image
Colman Domingo is entering the Batcave. The actor, who is in the Oscars race thanks to his work in civil rights drama Rustin, will voice Batman in the Spotify limited series The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark.

Comedian Hasan Minhaj stars in Secrets in the Dark, which comes after Minhaj voiced the Batman villain in Spotify’s Batman: Unburied. Insomniac’s ‘Spider-Man 2’ Aims to Swing to New Heights
Image
In 2018, just months before Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse redefined what a Spider-Man story could look like on the big screen, the team at Insomniac and PlayStation unleashed their own game-changing iteration. Spider-Man became the definitive Spidey video game, with Spider-Man: Miles Morales arriving in 2020. Combined, they have sold more than 33 million copies.

Now a long-awaiting sequel is arriving Oct. 20, and The Hollywood Reporter was among a group of media outlets that spent three hours playing the new version at a preview in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set just nine months after the events in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which saw Peter Parker taking an overseas trip and Miles adjusting to the mantle of becoming New York’s only Spider-Man. With Peter Parker back in town, the upcoming game expands on the story of how both superheroes will change and grow — both themselves,...

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Cast: Who Plays Peter, Miles, & Kraven
Image
Between the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase gameplay and the Sdcc story trailer, a better idea is forming of what Peter and Miles will be facing in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The highly anticipated third entry in Insomniac's superhero series will see the return of many of the first two titles' actors, alongside new cast members portraying fan-favorite villains such as Kraven and Venom.

The first two Marvel's Spider-Man titles have been praised for their storytelling and performances, with stories that balance superhero antics with the personal lives of both Spider-Men. This looks set to continue with Peter's childhood friend, Harry Osborn, returning after years away and wanting to use the experimental treatment for his terminal illness to "heal the world," something that will inevitably unleash the Venom symbiote on the city.

Days Gone: Everything We Know About The Upcoming Video Game Adaptation
Image
The 2019 open-world action/adventure video game "Days Gone" is getting the big screen treatment from Sony PlayStation Productions, according to Deadline. The PlayStation game from Bend Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment is set in a post-apocalyptic future in the Pacific Northwest after a pandemic turns people into zombie-like creatures called Freakers. It has sold over nine million units so far, with the lead role of Deacon St. John voiced by Sam Witwer, the voice of Darth Maul in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "Star Wars Rebels," and "Solo: A Star Wars Story."

This move comes after the success of Sony's "Uncharted" film, based on the video game of the same name, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. "Uncharted" made almost 402 million worldwide, making it the fifth-highest grossing after  "Warcraft," "Detective Pikachu," "Rampage," and "Sonic the Hedgehog 2."

Review: Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2
Image
The acclaimed maxiseries from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale was wisely produced as two animated feature films. Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1 was a real treat, one of the best productions from Warner Animation in quite some time. As a result, expectations were high for a satisfying Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2, out on disc tomorrow. Unfortunately, it proved to be very much a letdown.

In part one, we have a Batman (Jensen Ackles) still in the early portion of his career, learning to think and be a detective as he worked with Commissioner Gordon (Billy Burke) and Da Harvey Dent (Josh Duhamel) to find the Holiday Killer, who used celebrations to mask a series of murders. The Caped Crusader was aided by Catwoman (Naya Rivera), who was more sidekick and romantic interest than foil. The murders exacerbated the rivalry between Carmine “The Roman” Falcone (Titus Welliver) and Sal Maroni...

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two Review: A Riveting Conclusion to The DC Comics Epic
Image
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two brings the epic crime drama and murder mystery to a thrilling conclusion. Gotham City's greatest hero faces a cunning adversary that forces him to confront his family's legacy. The line between justice and villainy blurs when a hideous transformation overtakes an important ally. As the bodies pile up and the Holiday Killer strikes with impunity, the Rogues Gallery exploits the vacuum. Part Two continues the masterful character development and riveting narrative without missing a beat. Minor spoilers for Part One ahead in the plot summary.

The story picks up in the aftermath of New Year's shocking twist. Bruce Wayne (Jensen Ackles) is firmly under Poison Ivy's (Katee Sackhoff) control. The puppet master, crime boss Carmine Falcone (Titus Welliver), slowly siphons the Wayne Foundation's wealth. Commissioner Gordon (Billy Burke) and Harvey Dent (Josh Duhamel) are bewildered by Batman's disappearance. During the months of his absence,...

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One Review: A Stunning Adaptation of The DC Comics Classic
Image
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One is an absolutely stunning adaptation of the classic comic book series by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. In a Gotham City ruled by organized crime, The Dark Knight faces a mysterious killer that cannot be stopped by brute force or terror. He learns to be a true detective, where everyone is a suspect, and the murderer's motives are equally baffling. Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One reaches a level of storytelling and film noir artistry that surpasses everything we've seen to date in genre animation. It is genuinely gripping with complex characters and an unpredictable plot. Tragically, the film also marks the final performance of the talented Naya Rivera. Who passed away shortly after completing her voice over as Catwoman.

The story begins with a tense meeting. Bruce Wayne (Jensen Ackles) refuses an overture from the powerful mob boss, Carmine Falcone (Titus Welliver). That night,...

Review: Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1
Image
Warner Animation has been more miss than hit when adapting long comic book serials into a 90 minute or less feature film. Thankfully, they finally learned the lesson and are adapting Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s thirteen-part Batman: The Long Halloween into two films. The first part is out tomorrow and I am quite pleased with it.

The overarching plot has to do with the serial murders of people connected to crime boss Carmine Falcone (Titus Welliver) as the triumvirate of Commissioner Gordon (Billy Burke), District Attorney Harvey Dent (Josh Duhamel), and Batman (Jensen Ackles) all occurring on holidays. The hunt of the Holiday killer propels events as each attempt to thwart the next killing fails, leaving the good guys reeling and Falcone scared.

Set early in Batman’s career, a recurring theme is his lack of skill and experience as a detective. This is hammered a little too hard...

‘Batwoman 1×06: I’ll Be Judge, I’ll Be Jury’ Review
Stars: Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Elizabeth Anweis, Dougray Scott | Created by Caroline Dries

There’s a new villain, the Executioner (Jim Pirri), in town and he not only has a giant ax and an executioner’s hood (and looks really cool!) but also has a flair for theatrics as he kills his victims by forms of capital punishment. His first victim is Stanton, an assistant district attorney in Gotham, as he creatively electrocutes him in a parking lot with the use of an electrical pole, chain link fence and water from a fire hydrant. At this point I do not know why anyone would be inclined to be a public servant in Gotham as they either end up dead or in jail due to corruption. Speaking of corruption, the Executioner is a former federal death row executioner from Blackgate Prison who learns the majority...

New Batwoman 1×06 Photos Reveal Yet Another Batman Villain
Once again, I can’t stress enough how the Batwoman TV series couldn’t have debuted at a more opportune time. With Fox’s Gotham now a thing of the past, The CW are now free to use whatever Batman villains from the comic books they so choose. Well, I’m guessing a few are out of their reach, as Matt Reeves may want them saved for the silver screen, but that still leaves dozens of other evildoers at their fingertips.

For those keeping track, we’ve already met a pre-Hush Tommy Elliott and Magpie, with more familiars undoubtedly on the way. I’m just not counting Alice among their number, however, as she’s always been a contemporary for Kate Kane, and not the Dark Knight himself.

This time, it’s the Executioner who’s coming to the Arrowverse. Previously played by Michael Chiklis on Gotham, the torch will...

DC Is Reportedly Producing an Animated 2-Part Film Adaptation of Batman: The Long Halloween
An interesting report has surfaced from Rtf that says DC and Warner Bros. are developing a two-part film adaptation of the classic Batman story arc Batman: The Long Halloween.

I love this Batman story! It’s one of my favorites, and I was hoping to see it adapted as a live action feature film one day, but a two-part animated film will be good enough to tide me over. I’m actually surprised that it’s taken so long to bring this story to life!

I know that Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight was inspired by certain aspects of the book, but I’ve wanted to see a direct adaptation of the Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale comic.

If you’re not familiar with the story for some reason, here’s a synopsis:

Christmas. St. Patrick’s Day. Easter. As the calendar’s days stack up, so do the...

Batman: The Long Halloween Being Adapted Into Two-Part Animated Film
When it comes to the greatest Batman stories ever told in the comic book medium, the current decade has seen several of them adapted to fantastic animated movies. To name of a few of the classics, Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, Under The Red Hood and Gotham by Gaslight have each been brought to incredible life via Warner Home Entertainment’s DC-themed direct-to-video line.

Having said that, I’m quite excited by how my favorite comic storyline to feature the Dark Knight, Hush, will be added to the pantheon later this year, though there are still some glaring omissions. Seeing as how Hush was penned by Jeph Loeb, the filmmakers would be remiss if not to also take a crack at Batman: The Long Halloween at some point.

As it turns out, Revenge of the Fans – the very same outlet that brought us the rumored...

Suicide Squad Prepare for A Roadtrip in New ‘Hell to Pay’ Clip
DC Animation’s newest film, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay hits Blu-ray combo pack and DVD today. Warner Bros. have released an all-new clip from the film. This new clip has the new Task Force X (not your David Ayer Squad) riding in style for their mission/roadtrip. Watch the clip below.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object. The race is on for the golden prize … and, to stay alive, second place isn’t an option.

Hell to Pay features voices from Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) as the voice of Deadshot, Billy Brown...

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay Preview Hits the Road with Task Force X
Warner Bros. has released a new clip from Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay. The animated DC feature recently hit digital platforms and is set to make its way to shelves in 4K, as well as Blu-ray and DVD on April 10. In honor of the upcoming release, the studio has dropped a new clip, featuring the gang of bad guys getting acquainted with an old school ride they're taking on this new adventure. Harley Quinn is quite excited about it.

In the clip, we see the Suicide Squad, led by Deadshot, who is voiced by Christian Slater, checking out an Rv that Amanda Waller has secured for them. While the majority of the team is pretty unimpressed, Harley Quinn, voiced by Tara Strong, is extremely happy with the situation. She's even more excited when she realizes they have both chicken nuggets and corn dogs on board. In addition to setting up...

Review: Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay
The trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay was designed to make it look like a 1970-s grindhouse film, which could have been an interesting take on the team. What we get instead, isn’t exactly that, and while set within the new DC Animated Universe canon is off in a corner, nor is it particularly good or bad. Out this week from Warner Home Entertainment, the 86-minute feature is most certainly not for children.

There’s a gritty realism to the constant violence and betrayal among the villains seen in this movie, written by Alan Burnett, who certainly knows the characters well. He adapts them from the comics, making adjustments for his needs, so it’s not exactly like their four-color counterparts or as we’ve seen them in other animated fare. There’s certainly a high body count, starting early with the quick dispatching of Tobias Whale (Dave Fennoy...

Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay Blu-Ray Review
Although I love me some Batman and Justice League, I have to admit that I began to yearn for something beyond the familiarity I’d settled into in recent years when it came to the DC Universe animated films. I mean, this was the same line that brought us gems such as Green Lantern: First Flight and Wonder Woman (2009), so, as you can imagine, I was more than willing to see these folks once again broaden their horizon.

Fortunately, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay has proven to be just what the doctor ordered: An unapologetic, no-holds-barred love letter to the rougher side of DC’s pantheon that’ll appeal to diehard and casual viewers alike. Well, to be more specific, those who are of appropriate age.

As you may be aware, Warner Bros. have been willing to afford the filmmakers the ability to reach for the R-rating with some of...

First Trailer For DC Animation's Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay Looks Brilliant
The first trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay has arrived, and it looks promising. That used to be something you wouldn't have to say about DC Animated Features, but they've been spotty as of late in my personal opinion so all I can say here is the trailer looks pretty damn good. The lineup of heroes is better than the live-action film, Tara Strong is voicing Harley, and the violence doesn't appear to be limited as Quinn just smacked the head off that frozen guy! Let's just hope Vandal Savage is more interesting this time around than he was in Legends of Tomorrow. Christian Slater also stars in the film as Deadshot!

An original story, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so...

First trailer for DC animated movie ‘Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay’
Ok, so not everyone liked the Suicide Squad live-action movie (although on the scale of superhero movies it’s easily one of the better Dceu films), well now DC and Warner Bros. are making amends, sort of, with a brand new animated movie based on the misfit task force: Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret Task Force X,’ Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead, on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object. The race is on for the golden prize … and, to stay alive, second place isn’t an option.

Christian Slater, Billy Brown, and Tara Strong in Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay Trailer Is an R-Rated, Animated Blast
Christian Slater, Billy Brown, and Tara Strong in Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)
The first trailer for Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay is here. Sure, the live-action Suicide Squad movie made a lot of money, but critics hated it and, at best, fans were divided on it. While Suicide Squad 2 is going to have a shot at redeeming DC's all-villain super team on the big screen, Warner Bros. Animation has given us what looks to be a very fun, R-rated animated Suicide Squad movie to watch in the meantime. Though, you're going to have to be content watching this one in the comfort of your own home.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay features a different team than we were treated to in the live-action Suicide Squad, with this lineup featuring the likes of Copperhead, Killer Frost and Bronze Tiger. Still, the conceit is still very much the same, in that, bad guys are given the chance to reduce their prison sentences by doing some good.

Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay Reveals Killer Voice Cast, First Plot Details
While we’re all awaiting the awesomeness that’s sure to be Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, it certainly never hurts to look ahead at whatever other DC animated movies the fine folks over at Warner Bros. Animation are cooking up. After all, this line of films has a reputation for having far more hits than misses.

So, instead of twiddling our thumbs waiting for the silver screen’s iteration of Task Force X to suit up for their next mission, we should be looking forward to something that we can sink our teeth into far sooner. You see, the next one up is that of Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, an original story that obviously draws generous inspiration from New 52 and Rebirth era comic books.

Originally announced last summer at San Diego Comic-Con, word regarding this project has been mum as to not take the spotlight off the aforementioned Gotham by Gaslight,...

Episode Recap: CSI: NY - 1.14: "Blood, Sweat and Tears"
In story 1, a swimmer finds a box on a beach with a Db inside. It hasn't been in the water for long. Mac: "It's not a box, it's a coffin." Cold water leads to minimum bloating, he was probably in the water for 48 hours, surmises Hawkes (Hill Harper). Mac (Gary Sinise) must straighten out the body back at autopsy. Stella (Melina Kanakaredes) finds salt water residue on the box. The lid has some fibre with roots, but the hair isn't human. Story 2, blood from the apartment went through the ceiling. No vehicles around and Greg (Eric Szmanda) asks the officer to tape off the Cs. David, (David Berman) at the prospect of having to go down to examine the Db, asks "Why can't people die closer to the road?" The Db is still smoking on the wet ground, covered with gravel. Hey Nick (George Eads) didn't arrive at the Cs with Ray (Laurence Fishburne) like he usually does. The Db is rolled over, revealing his burnt face. His teeth are clenched and his tongue is burnt and black. Greg notices the singeing on his collar. When David attempts to cut the Db to determine Tod, he wakes up.
